RAW RATINGS 3/28

This past Monday’s RAW scored a 3.84 cable rating with an average of 5.89 million viewers. This was the most viewers for RAW since the June 29th, 2009 episode. In addition, the 4.77 final overrun segment was the highest rated quarter since June 22nd, 2009, the commercial-free RAW. RAW’s peak this week with 7.31 million viewers was the first segment on RAW to break 7 million in almost two years.

In a segment breakdown, Edge and Christian vs. Brodus Clay and Alberto Del Rio gained 3,000 viewers from the opener with CM Punk. The video for Triple H and Undertaker lost 73,000 viewers while Justin Gabriel vs. Santino Marella gained 283,000 viewers. The segment with Triple H, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker gained 1,346,000 viewers, making the rating go from 3.5 to 4.5 in the Males 18-49 demographic and from 4.5 to 5.4 in the teenagers demo.

Jerry Lawler vs. Jack Swagger lost 1,449,000 viewers, making it one of the worst segments as far as losing viewers goes in years. The same thing happened with Sheamus and Daniel Bryan a few weeks ago – fans tune in to see a major angle, in this case the one with HHH-Taker-HBK, and then tune out once the major angle is over.

The match with Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler vs. Daniel Bryan and John Morrison lost 32,000 more viewers but the Road Warriors Hall of Fame video and the angle with Snooki, Layla, Michelle McCool and Trish Stratus at a bar gained 255,000 viewers. The final segment with The Rock, John Cena and The Miz gained 1,539,000 viewers, which is one of the biggest gains in several years.
