RAW SUPERSHOW 10/24

Tonight’s WWE RAW Supershow opens up with the usual introduction video. And we’re live from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas as the pyro goes off and Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. He’s joined by Jerry Lawler on commentary. They discuss last night’s Vengeance pay-per-view. We see stills of the collapsed ring and the Last Man Standing Match. They show the footage of Kevin Nash powerbombing Triple H.

- We go to the ring and out comes Triple H to a big pop.

The crowd chants Triple H’s name. He says it’s a tough business. He was talk early that you can either make friends or make money. He says he’s always lived by that but considered himself lucky because he’s had money and success plus his share of friends. Triple H name-drops Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash. He says somewhere along the lines things changed. He thought he still had friends but when he got in a position of power, realized some of those friends were just there for a reason. HHH throws up the Kliq sign and the crowd pops. He talks about Nash attacking him at Vengeance and the crowd boos. HHH says he isn’t worried about his physical well being because this might sound corny, he says, but Kevin Nash broke his heart. Now, he wants to take it out on Nash.

HHH says he knows Nash is here tonight and calls him out. Triple H wants to kick his ass. The crowd chants for Triple H again as he waits for Nash. Out comes John Laurinaitis to heat from the crowd. Laurinaitis heard a rumor that Nash was in town but he also heard a rumor that Nash was at home. Triple H tells him to shut up. Laurinaitis tries to keep talking but HHH stops him. HHH tells him not to step through the ropes because he’s not in the mood. It’s not going to end well for Laurinaitis, he says. Laurinaitis keeps trying to talk but Triple H cuts him off. HHH says he is the COO and Laurinaitis still reports to him. HHH says Laurinaitis will be the guy tonight who scours the building to find Kevin Nash, then brings him to the ring. HHH doesn’t care what Laurinaitis has to do. Bring Nash here and offer him a contract, one he can’t refuse. If he doesn’t, Triple H is going to go wherever he has to and find Nash. HHH says he will go to jail and embarrass the company if he has to. HHH tells Laurinaitis again to do what he has to do to bring Nash in. HHH drops the mic and walks off. Laurinaitis tries to plead with him. HHH turns around on the stage to have words with Laurinaitis. Nash runs out and hits HHH in the back with a sledgehammer. Laurinaitis runs up the ramp and tells Nash to get out of here because he’s not supposed to be here. Security come out but Nash pushes some of them off. Laurinaitis is pissed as he checks on HHH. Officials check on HHH and help him to the back as the crowd pops. Cameras catch Nash walking through backstage and staring down some of the WWE talents. We go to replays of what just happened and come back to Triple H trying to walk on his own backstage. He takes a few steps and falls. They call for paramedics as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and the announcers play up the seriousness of the attack on Triple H as we get more replays. We go backstage and HHH is being loaded into an ambulance. Nash appears with the sledgehammer and forces the EMT’s to put him down. Nash stands up the stretcher with HHH attached to it and leans him against a wall. Security comes over and tries to get Nash to back off but he decks HHH in the face with the sledgehammer. Security tangle with Nash and he finally backs off. HHH is laid out on the stretcher as they go to load him in the ambulance. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and we see an ambulance rushing away to the hospital with Triple H in the back of it. We get more replays of Nash attacking Triple H tonight.

Randy Orton and Sheamus vs. Christian and Cody Rhodes

At 9:26, we finally go to the ring and out comes Randy Orton to a big pop. Out next comes his partner Sheamus. Christian is out next followed by his partner, WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes.

Christian starts things out with Orton. They go to lock up but Christian strikes first and takes it to the corner. Orton fires back with a clothesline and a big back drop. Orton does his usual stomps and locks eyes with Cody. Orton tags in Sheamus. Sheamus comes over the top rope with a shoulder for a 2 count. Sheamus presses Christian high but he slides out. Christian slaps Sheamus and tags in Cody. Cody runs in and gets backdropped. Sheamus traps Cody in the ropes now and wails away with forearm shots to the chest.

Sheamus with a clothesline and a 2 count as Cody goes to the floor. Christian leaps off the apron with a shoulder. Cody meets Sheamus coming back in the ring and takes control. 2 count for Cody. Cody with a headlock now as we take another commercial break.

Back from the break and Sheamus and Cody are in control of Sheamus. Christian goes for Killswitch but it’s countered and Christian goes down. Sheamus tags in Orton. Orton clotheslines Christian twice and powerslams him. Orton with a big neckbreaker and a 2 count. They go at it on the apron and Orton hits the second rope draping DDT. Orton goes for the RKO on Cody who attacks from behind. Orton fights him off but Christian comes over and they take Orton out. Cody comes in and stomps away on Orton. 2 count for Cody. Cody drops a knee on Orton. They trade shots and Cody dropkicks Orton. Christian is tagged back in and they double team Orton. Christian ends up coming off the top rope but Orton dropkicks him in mid-air. Sheamus comes in and unloads on Cody with clotheslines and a scoop slam. Sheamus with a clothesline in the corner and a knee to the face. Sheamus with the Irish Curse backbreaker and a 2 count.

Sheamus goes for the Celtic Cross but Christian distracts him. They go back and forth. Cody hits the Beautiful Disaster kick on Sheamus. Cody distracts the referee while Christian spears Sheamus. 2 count. Orton comes in and takes Christian out with an RKO. Cody takes Orton out of the ring. Cody goes for Beautiful Disaster on Sheamus but Sheamus barely connects with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus hits the Celtic Cross for the win.

Winners: Randy Orton and Sheamus

- We get stills of what happened in last night’s Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title.

- John Laurinaitis is in his office on the phone. David Otunga is sitting there. Stephanie McMahon is on the other end and it sounds like she’s blaming Laurinaitis for what happened to Triple H. They hang up. John Cena interrupts Otunga and Laurinaitis. Cena tells Otunga to hit the bricks and wants words with Laurinaitis right now. Cena tells Laurinaitis to follow Zack Ryder on Twitter, take two weeks off then quit, then give him a match tonight. Cena wants The Miz and R-Truth. It’s Cena and a partner picked by Laurinaitis vs. Miz and Truth. Back to commercial.

Santino Marella vs. Dolph Ziggler

Back from commercial and Santino Marella is in the ring waiting. Out next comes the WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler with Vickie Guerrero and Jack Swagger.

The bell rings and Santino does the usual comedy kick attempts. More comedy from Santino and a hip toss. Dolph gets mad but Santino chases him back with the Cobra. Dolph decks Santino and starts stomping away. Ziggler connects with a dropkick and shows off as the crowd boos. Santino ducks a clothesline and hits a hip toss, followed by the headbutt to the chest. Santino calls for the Cobra but Swagger gets on the apron. Santino turns around to a Zig Zag from Ziggler for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

- After the match, Swagger enters the ring and they beat Santino down. Swagger puts the ankle lock on him. Mason Ryan runs out as Ziggler leaves the ring. Ryan clotheslines Swagger and hits him with a big boot. Vickie leaves with her team as Ryan helps Santino up and we go to replays.

- The Bella twins are backstage talking when Zack Ryder walks up filming his show. He’s so excited because Laurinaitis chose him to be Cena’s partner tonight.

- Up next is Alberto Del Rio’s Victory Speech after retaining the WWE Title at Vengeance. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Ricardo Rodriguez introduces the WWE Champion and out comes Alberto Del Rio to the ring. Del Rio talks about defeating John Cena at Vengeance and how he left him on the floor like a dying dog. Del Rio says he proved once again he is the better man. Del Rio says he’s done with Cena, he had his chance and he lost. Del Rio says he is moving on to other challengers but nobody is better than him in WWE so get used to seeing him as Champion.

CM Punk’s music hits and out he comes to a big pop.

The crowd chants for Punk as he walks down the ramp. Punk says he’s beat Del Rio multiple times, the last time being four weeks ago on RAW. Punk reminds Del Rio that he never received his one-on-one title shot after Del Rio cashed in on him. Punk asks Del Rio if he has the cojones to put the title on the line. Del Rio says he will defend against anyone worthy but Punk lost his match last night and he’s a loser. Losers don’t deserve title shots, Del Rio says. Del Rio tells Punk to come see him when he can do things right, when he gets a victory. Del Rio calls Punk a loser again and says he’s at the back of the line. The crowd chants for Punk again. Punk says maybe he doesn’t deserve it, maybe he is at the back of the line, maybe he is a loser and maybe if Del Rio isn’t willing to give him a title shot, he will just put him to sleep anyway. Laurinaitis comes walking out and says he’s fed up with everything.

Laurinaitis says this isn’t going to happen on his watch. Laurinaitis says they both make good points and he wants to give the WWE Universe what they want. Laurinaitis proposes Punk vs. Del Rio for the WWE Title at Survivor Series. Punk asks what the catch is. Laurinaitis says Punk needs to tell him he respects Laurinaitis in front of everyone. Punk asks if he’s Aretha Franklin. Punk says Laurinaitis clearly doesn’t respect him and says respect is earned, not given. Punk talks about how RAW isn’t any better with Laurinaitis in charge. Laurinaitis tells him to swallow his pride and say it. Punk sucks it up, mocks Laurinaitis’ voice and says he respects him, Funkman. Laurinaitis gives Punk one more chance to do it right. The crowd chants for Punk as he thinks about it. Punk says he respects Laurinaitis. He respects how he comes out every week with a deer in the headlights look. Punk goes on and rips Laurinaitis for his past. Punk says never in this business has anyone with so little done so much, he respects that. Laurinaitis says that’s not good enough and Punk’s not suitable for a WWE Title shot. Laurinaitis is going to take another week to think about it. Punk tells him to think about this and attacks Del Rio. Punk beats Del Rio down and goes for GTS but Ricardo makes the save. Del Rio flees the ring and leaves Ricardo. Punk hits GTS on Ricardo as Del Rio runs his mouth from the ramp and Laurinaitis looks on. Punk poses on the ropes and has words with Del Rio.

Natalya vs. Alicia Fox

Back from the break and Natalya is making her way to the ring with WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix. Beth joins Cole and Lawler on commentary. Out next comes her opponent Alicia Fox.

The bell rings and they go at it. Natalya takes Alicia’s knee out and slams her face into the mat. Natalya continues the attack and clotheslines Alicia. Natalya drops a submission on Alicia’s leg. Alicia tries to fight out of it but Natalya keeps her down. Alicia finally makes a comeback and rolls Natalya up for the win.

Winner: Alicia Fox

- After the match, we see Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly watching in the back. Natalya and Beth attack Alicia but she escapes the ring and up the ramp. Back to commercial.

John Morrison vs. Wade Barrett

Back from the break and out comes John Morrison. Out next comes his opponent Wade Barrett from SmackDown.

The bell rings and they go at it. Barrett shoves Morrison back but he comes back with a forearm. They go back and forth trading kicks and punches. Morrison dropkicks Barrett. Morrison runs the ropes but Barrett slides out to the floor. Morrison dives through the ropes and takes Barrett out. They tangle on the floor and Barrett back kicks Morrison. Barrett tosses Morrison into the fan barrier as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Barrett is in control of the match in the ring. Barrett levels Morrison with a big boot for a 2 count. Barrett chokes Morrison on the ropes as the referee counts. Barrett with knees to the head now. Barrett charges and hits another big boot, this time knocking Morrison out of the ring.

Barrett brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Barrett puts a knee in Morrison’s back. Morrison fights out but Barrett whips him to the corner. Morrison comes out with an elbow to the face and a clothesline. Morrison with a few kicks and a kick to the face. Morrison with the charging knee to the jaw for a 2 count. Morrison ducks a clothesline and rolls Barrett up for 2. Morrison charges but Barrett catches him in a big side slam for 2. Barrett goes for Wasteland but Morrison counters with a side leg sweep. Morrison goes for Starship Pain but lands on his feet as Barrett moves. They fight in the corner and then go to the ropes. Morrison springboards but lands on Barrett’s shoulders for a botched Wasteland. Barrett picks up Morrison and nails Wasteland for the win.

Winner: Wade Barrett

- Cole and Lawler show us replays again of what happened between Kevin Nash and Triple H earlier tonight. Cole announces that Triple H has suffered a concussion and possibly a broken neck.

- They talk about how Cole has been tweeting with Jim Ross all night. Cole says he’s had enough and stands up in his chair. Cole tells the fans in the arena that Ross has been on Twitter and WWE’s website all night running his mouth. Cole says Ross must be drunk and says Ross sent out some photographs on Twitter by accident. Cole shows photos on the big screen. One is of Ross photoshopped as the baby oil girl with the dog. Another is a photoshop pic of Ross on a exercise bike with some ribs dangling in front of him. The third is Ross in a Sooners cheerleading outfit. Cole says he has had enough of Ross and is ready to put an end to it once and for all. Cole challenges Ross to the Michael Cole Challenge for next week’s RAW in Atlanta. If Ross wins the challenge, he can have his seat back on RAW because Cole will quit.

- Zack Ryder is backstage with Josh Matthews. Ryder is excited about his first RAW main event and teaming with one of his Broskis. Miz and Truth attack Ryder from behind and beat him down. Officials finally get them to back off and tend to Ryder.

The Miz and R-Truth vs. John Cena and Zack Ryder

We go to the ring and out come The Miz and R-Truth. Miz tells them to cut the music and talks about a revolution that they have started. They mock Triple H and say he got what he deserved. Miz says when they rise up, nobody will be safe from the truth. Ryder just found that out and so did Triple H, he says. Truth says the party is just getting started. Miz says Cena can wear whatever catchphrases he wants but he can’t rise above them. That’s the truth and that’s awesome. The crowd boos as we go to commercial again.

John Cena vs. The Miz and R-Truth

Back from the break and it’s announced that John Laurinaitis has made this a handicap match. John Cena’s music hits and out he comes to a big pop.

Miz starts things out for his team. The bell rings and Cena beats Miz down and takes the fight to the corner. Cena with a fisherman’s suplex but Miz tags in Truth. Cena unloads on Truth also and takes him down. Cena with an elbow drop. Truth tags in Miz again and the crowd boos. They turn the match around and continue the tags and double teaming on Cena.

Cena suplexes Miz but he tags in Truth. Miz hits a big running kick to the head and then a clothesline in the corner. Miz goes to the top and comes down with a double ax handle. Miz chokes Cena in the corner and brings Truth back in. Truth lays out Cena but he kicks out at 2. Cena tries to make another comeback but they stop him. Cena comes back again and hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Miz. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment on Miz but Truth makes the save by hitting Cena with a water bottle for the DQ.

Winner by DQ: John Cena

- After the match, Truth and Miz beat Cena down. Miz lays Cena out with a Skull Crushing Finale and Truth hits his finisher. Miz and Truth bring steel chairs in the ring but Laurinaitis comes out with referees and tells them to stop. He’s tired of being disrespected and not going to stand for it. Laurinaitis tells them to get out of the ring and they argue. Laurinaitis tells the referees to walk them to the back. Laurinaitis tells them to stop and has an idea for a match. He’s going to let Cena pick his partner this time. It will be Cena and a partner of his choice vs. The Miz and R-Truth at Survivor Series. Cena takes the mic and the crowd chants for The Rock. Cena says he’s sick of The Miz and Truth. Cena says he’s not doing this out of friendship but if he’s going to defeat Miz and Truth, his partner is going to be someone who can bring it. The crowd pops and chants Rocky. Cena sends the invite out and says he chooses The Rock as his partner.

WWE VENGEANCE 2011 RESULTS

 WWE’s 2011 Vengeance pay-per-view opens with a video package looking at the events over the past few weeks including Big Show returning to battle Mark Henry, Triple H losing his power on RAW and Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena. The theme is everyone getting their vengeance.

- And we’re live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas as Michael Cole welcomes us to Vengeance. He’s joined by Jerry Lawler and Booker T on commentary.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger vs. Air Boom

We go to the ring and Vickie Guerrero introduces Jack Swagger. Swagger makes his way to the ring and then she introduces the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and out he comes. Out next come the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston.

Dolph starts things out with Kofi. They lock up and trade holds. Ziggler with an early pin attempt. Takedown by Ziggler and a headlock. Ziggler drops Kofi with a shoulder. Kofi leap frogs and hits Ziggler with a back elbow. Kofi leaps onto Dolph in the corner and flips him across the ring for a 2 count. Bourne comes in and dropkicks Ziggler for another 2 count. Ziggler fights back and tags in Swagger. Swagger gets rolled up for a 2 count. Bourne with kicks and a tag to Kofi. They double team Swagger and Kofi covers for another pin attempt.

Kofi works Swagger over in the corner and tags in Bourne again. They hit a double dropkick and Bourne covers for 2. Another tag to Kofi and more double teaming from the champs. 2 count by Kofi. Kofi with uppercuts in the corner. Kofi goes for a crossbody but Swagger catches him and slams him to the mat. Ziggler comes in and covers Kofi for 2. Ziggler and Kofi go at it now. Ziggler connects with a dropkick to the jaw for a pin attempt. Kofi fights back but Dolph drops him with an elbow. Swagger comes in off the tag and puts Kofi back down. Swagger charges with a shoulder block. Swagger with a headlock now as Vickie looks on. Kofi fights out of the hold and ducks a clothesline to tag in Bourne. Bourne comes in with a head scissors takedown and a series of kicks on Swagger. A knee to the face tags Swagger down. Bourne knocks Dolph off the apron and kicks Swagger again for a close 2 count.

Bourne leaps off the top as Dolph charges on the apron. Bourne lands on his feet, knocks Dolph off and goes back to the top. He goes for Air Bourne but Swagger puts his knees up. Dolph comes back in on a tag and covers Bourne for 2 as Kofi breaks it up. Dolph with a chinlock on Bourne now. Bourne reaches for a tag but Dolph stops him. Bourne rolls Ziggler up out of nowhere for a 2 count. Ziggler counters it for 2 and hits a big clothesline on Bourne. Another pin attempt by Dolph. Swagger comes in on a tag and stomps on Bourne. Ziggler kicks Bourne as the referee isn’t looking. Swagger comes out of the corner with a big splash for a 2 count. Bourne tries to fight out of a hold now but Swagger beats him down. Swagger hits Kofi but he blocks it and returns the shot. Bourne rolls Swagger up for 2. Swagger goes for the ankle lock but Bourne blocks it and tosses Swagger out to the floor.

Ziggler distracts the ref while Swagger hits Kofi, stopping the tag. Swagger comes in and tags Ziggler. They double team Bourne again while the referee isn’t looking. Dolph with a neckbreaker and another tag to Swagger. Swagger stomps on Bourne and poses as the crowd boos. Bourne fights back with kicks but Swagger scoops him and slams him to the mat. Swagger runs into the corner again for a big splash but Bourne puts his knees up. Kofi and Dolph come in at the same time. Kofi unloads on Dolph with kicks. Dolph blocks SOS and shoves him into the corner. Kofi kicks Dolph and Swagger in the head. Kofi goes to the top and comes down with a big crossbody for a close 2 count. Kofi hits the Boom Drop. Ziggler ducks Trouble in Paradise but Kofi hits SOS. Swagger breaks the pin. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise but Swagger turns it into the ankle lock. Bourne takes Swagger out with knees from the top. Ziggler runs up and rolls Kofi up for a 2 count. Kofi connects with Trouble in Paradise and tags in Bourne. Bourne hits Air Bourne for the win.

Winners: Air Boom

WWE United States Title Match: Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler

Zack Ryder’s music hits and out he comes for the next match as soon as the opener is over. Dolph is still recovering from the loss as Ryder enters the ring. The bell rings and they go at it. Ryder unloads on Ziggler in the corner. Ryder with a big clothesline for a 2 count. Air Boom, Swagger and Vickie look on from ringside. Ryder launches Ziggler hard into the corner and covers him for another 2 count.

Ziggler fights back as the crowd chants for Ryder. Ryder makes a comeback but Dolph escapes out to the floor and starts to crawl away. Kofi and Bourne grab him and throw him back in the ring. The ref tells Ryder to back off Dolph and order Air Boom to return to the locker room. Vickie waves bye to them as the crowd chants “Vickie sucks.” Ryder continues the offense on Ziggler and drops him hard on his face for another 2 count. Ryder misses a splash and hits hard on the ropes.

Ziggler stomps on Ryder and drops a big elbow drop for a 2 count. Ziggler grounds Ryder to the mat with a hold now. Ziggler with another big elbow drop and 2 count. Ziggler hits a big splash in the corner and Ryder goes back down. Vickie cheers on as Swagger taunts the crowd. Ziggler misses the next splash in the corner. Ryder misses a running boot to the head as Ziggler moves. Ziggler hits the big leg drop but Ryder kicks out at 2. Ziggler beats Ryder down in the corner as the ref tells him to back off. Ryder runs and kicks Ziggler in the head. Swagger runs over and pulls Ryder’s leg. Ryder kicks him back. Ryder blocks the sleeper from Ziggler and kicks off Swagger again. Ryder turns around to a superkick from Ziggler. Ziggler connects and covers Ryder for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

- CM Punk is backstage talking to Ted DiBiase when Triple H walks in. Punk understands that someone forced Triple H to leave on RAW with the deportation debacle. They talk about their match tonight and walk off together.

WWE Divas Title Match: Eve Torres vs. Beth Phoenix

We go to the ring and out comes the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, without Natalya. Michael Cole says there was a fight backstage between the Divas earlier. He shows footage of Kelly being interviewed when Beth Phoenix attacked her. Natalya and other Divas taunted Kelly as Beth held her against the wall. Eve made the save and a Divas brawl broke out backstage. Eve Torres makes her way out next. Cole says that John Laurinaitis has banned Natalya and Kelly Kelly from ringside.

The bell rings and they lock up, going at it hard in the lock up. Eve ends up on the top rope and hits Beth with right hands. Eve comes off the top with a roll up for 2. Beth fights back and knocks Eve down for a 2 count. Eve fights back after another pin attempt and they trade holds. They come out of another lock up with Beth hitting a right hand and forearm shot. Eve connects with an enziguri and kicks Beth into the ropes. Eve cuffs Beth to the middle rope by using part of her outfit. Eve wails away with kicks on Beth as the referee backs her off. He breaks Beth free but she runs into a forearm from Eve. Beth goes to the floor and Eve follows. Beth knocks Eve down on the apron. Beth presses Eve over head on the floor and drops Eve face first on top of the fan barrier. Beth with kicks on Eve before whipping her into the apron hard.

Beth brings it back in the ring for a 2 count. Beth takes it to the mat with an abdominal stretch. Eve breaks free but Beth catches her with a gutbuster for another 2 count. Beth with a leg scissors now. Beth slaps Eve in the head and tells her to cry as the hold is locked in. Beth continues slapping and taunting Eve. Eve fights free eventually and mounts Beth with right hands. Eve with kicks to the face and a clothesline. Eve with a backsplash for a 2 count. Eve with right hands. Beth runs into an elbow. Eve ends up on Beth’s back with her legs wrapped around. She keeps it locked and brings Beth to the mat in a submission hold. Beth makes it to the ropes and breaks the hold.

Eve slams Beth’s head into the turnbuckle. Beth turns it around and they come back in the ring. Eve counters the Glam Slam and they trade close pin attempts. Beth runs into an elbow int he corner. Eve connects with a big kick to the head. Eve goes to the top but misses the moonsault as Beth rolls out of the way. Beth connects with the Glam Slam this time for the win.

Winner: Beth Phoenix

- Big Show is backstage with Matt Striker. Show talks about Mark Henry and says he’s going to take the World Heavyweight Title tonight then watch the House of Pain crumble. Vengeance will be mine and so will the World Heavyweight Championship, he says.

Sheamus vs. Christian

We go to the ring and out comes Christian for the next match. Sheamus is out next to a nice reaction. Christian stalls and walks around the ring before finally entering. The bell rings and Christian slaps Sheamus. they go to the corner and Christian unloads with right hands. Sheamus powers out and beats Christian to the mat before slamming him. Sheamus drops an elbow. Christian smacks him again but Sheamus connects with a shoulder. Sheamus takes Christian to the corner and beats him down with stomps.

Sheamus continues the attack and wails away with forearm shots to the chest on the apron. Sheamus with a tall standing suplex and a 2 count. Christian fights back with a neckbreaker and stomps on Sheamus. Christian with right hands, backing Sheamus up in the corner. Sheamus fights back from his knees but Christian knocks him back down and chokes him on the bottom rope with his boot. Sheamus comes back with shoulder thrusts in the corner. Sheamus charges and misses, hitting the ring post. Christian rolls Sheamus up for a 2 count. More back and forth action. Christian trips Sheamus and chokes him on the ropes again. Christian with an elbow off the second rope for another 2 count. Christian misses a headbutt from the top as Sheamus moves.

Sheamus comes back with clotheslines and a big slam. Sheamus catches Christian off the second rope and slams him for a 2 count. Sheamus tries to suplex Christian in from the apron but he fights it off. Sheamus charges and Christian pulls the rope down, sending him out to the floor. Sheamus makes his way back in the ring with a shoulder over the top rope and gets a close 2 count. Christian slides out of a press slam and hits a right hand. Sheamus hits a clothesline in the corner. Christian counters for a 2 count. Christian goes for Killswitch but Sheamus blocks it. He goes for his finisher but Christian blocks that. They end up in the corner and Sheamus blocks a kick. Sheamus with a knee drop and another 2 count.

Sheamus blocks Killswitch again but Christian blocks the Celtic Cross. Christian with a kick in the corner. Sheamus catches Christian’s cross body with the Irish Curse backbreaker for a pin attempt. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick but Christian blocks it with a spear for a close 2 count. Sheamus fights his way back in from the apron with a knee to the head. Sheamus climbs to the top but Christian stops him. Christian with right hands. Christian climbs up and brings Sheamus down to the mat with a hurricanrana. Christian readies for a spear but Sheamus blocks it with a Brogue Kick for the win.

Winner: Sheamus

- David Otunga is backstage talking with John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis says he came up with the Vengeance pay-per-view name. The Miz and R-Truth walk up. Miz says he has their word that they will follow the rules. Truth asks why he re-instated them. Laurinaitis puts them over and believes they could be the world’s greatest tag team ever. Not really, he says, but he likes the way they suck up. Laurinaitis walks off. Truth says he sucks up better than Miz does but Miz disagrees. They start ripping on Triple H and CM Punk. Truth says the state of Texas also sucks. They do their own handshake before walking off.

- We get a promo video showing events leading up to tonight’s big tag team match.

The Miz and R-Truth vs. CM Punk and Triple H

Out first comes the team of The Miz and R-Truth rapping about how everyone sucks. CM Punk is out next followed by Triple H, both to nice reactions from the crowd.

The bell rings as Miz and Punk start things out. They go to lock up and Miz backs in the corner. Punk backs Miz in the corner and Triple H slaps him in the head. Punk takes Miz down and kicks him. Punk tags in Triple H and Miz runs away, tagging in Truth. They lock up and Triple H applies a headlock. Triple H with a big shoulder, knocking Truth down. They lock up again and Triple H takes control. Miz ducks a shot and does a split but Triple H knocks him down with a right hand. HHH throws a crotch chop and rams Truth’s head into Punk’s boot. Punk is tagged in and continues the attack on Truth. 2 count for Punk. Miz comes in but Punk takes him down.

Punk works Miz over and tags HHH back in. They go back and forth. HHH goes for the Figure Four and locks it in. Punk pulls HHH’s arms for leverage as the referee isn’t looking. HHH keeps the hold locked and they double team when the ref isn’t looking again. Punk gets tagged in and they continue working on Miz’s legs. 2 count for Punk. Punk works on Miz’s arm now. Miz breaks free and Truth drops Punk while the ref is distracted. Truth comes in on a tag and they stomp away on Punk. Truth drops Punk with a right hand for a pin attempt and then a headlock.

Punk breaks free and slams Truth, looking for the pin. HHH comes in and takes Truth down with a knee to the face. He pulls Miz into the ring and hits a spinebuster on Truth. HHH with a knee to the face on Miz. He clotheslines them both over the top rope and to the floor. HHH pulls Truth back in the ring but Miz stops him from re-entering. Miz stomps on HHH on the floor now. Truth comes out and gets a tag. They continue to trade tags and work HHH over in the corner. More double teaming and a pin attempt by Truth. Truth with a headlock on HHH now. Truth ducks a clothesline and hits a corkscrew elbow for a 2 count. Miz comes in off a tag and they double team HHH in the corner. Miz with a high knee to the face and a 2 count. Miz with a headlock now.

HHH tries to fight back but Miz hits the backbreaker neckbreaker combo and continues the attack. Truth comes in on a tag and they both kick HHH in the head. Another 2 count. Truth with a head scissors now. HHH stands up with Truth on his shoulders and slams him back onto the mat. Miz comes in but HHH connects with a big clothesline. Truth is tagged in but misses the scissors kick. HHH nails a DDT on Truth and crawls for a tag. Punk comes in with a springboard clothesline on Miz and a dropkick for Truth. Punk with a neckbreaker on Miz and a knee to the jaw in the corner on Truth. Punk takes out both Truth and Miz at once with a bulldog/clothesline combo and covers Miz for 2. Punk slams Miz and goes to the top. Punk kicks off Truth on the apron. HHH comes over and goes at it with Truth, throwing him over the fan barrier. Punk goes back up top and hits the big elbow drop. Punk calls for GTS as we see HHH working over Truth on the floor. Kevin Nash appears in the crowd and knocks HHH back, distracting Punk. Miz tries to attack but Punk goes for GTS. Truth breaks it up and lays Punk out with his finisher. Miz covers Punk for the win.

Winners: The Miz and R-Truth

- After the match, Nash comes over the barrier and brings Triple H. Nash beats him down and whips him into the steel steps. Nash brings HHH into the ring and nails him with knees to the gut in the corner. Nash with a big clothesline. Nash lays Triple H out with a Jackknife powerbomb and exits the ring as officials come over. Nash leaves through the crowd as they boo him. HHH is shown knocked out in the ring as referees tend to him and we go to replays.

It takes Triple H a while to start moving and they show several replays of how he landed on his neck from the powerbomb. The announcers wonder if he may have some kind of neck injury. Triple H is helped to the back by a referee.

- John Laurinaitis is backstage on the phone and says he will take care of what happened. WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez are there. Del Rio says he should be the top priority and isn’t happy about Cena making the Last Man Standing stipulation. Laurinaitis reminds Del Rio he won his first Cell match and tells Del Rio tonight he has an opportunity. Del Rio says right, that’s why he’s the WWE Champion and Cena isn’t. Laurinaitis says it’s his job to make the best show possible. Del Rio walks off as Laurinaitis wishes him good luck.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

We go to the ring and out comes Randy Orton to a nice pop from the crowd. Out next comes the WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes and his baggers for this non-title match.

The bell rings and they go to lock up but Cody stalls a bit. Cody goes for Orton’s leg but Orton fights back with right hands and a clothesline. Cody turns it around and goes for a bulldog but Orton pushes him off. Orton sends Cody out to the floor and follows him. Orton knocks him into the steps and brings it back in the ring. Cody misses a kick from the second rope and Orton drops him for a 2 count. Cody hits a right hand from the floor and comes back in with stomps on Orton. Cody drops Orton on his face and comes off the second rope with a knee to the neck.

Cody continues to control the match until Orton comes out of the corner with right hands. Cody comes off a whip in the corner with a clothesline for another 2 count. Cody takes Orton back to the mat and applies a headlock. Orton fights out with a big backdrop but Cody dropkicks him back to the mat. Another 2 count for Cody. Cody continues and applies a Boston crab. Orton dodges a spear in the corner and makes a comeback. They trade shots and Cody slams Orton back on his head. 2 count for Cody. Cody goes up top and misses a moonsault as Orton moves out of the way. Orton with clothesline and a big powerslam. Cody goes back up top but Orton stops him in mid-air with a dropkick. 2 count for Orton. Cody slides out of a powerbomb and hits the Beautiful Disaster kick for a 2 count.

Cody blocks the draping DDT but Orton connects with a backbreaker for another pin attempt. Orton with another big slam and pin attempt. Orton takes Cody up to the top rope. Cody fights him off and knocks him back to the mat. Cody connects with a moonsault but Orton kicks out at 2. Cody goes back to the second rope and comes down but Orton moves. Orton with a big uppercut. One of the baggers get on the apron but Orton hits him. Cody hits Cross Rhodes but Orton kicks out at 2. Cody drops to the mat like Orton does and mocks him. Cody goes for the RKO but Orton dropkicks him. Orton hits the second rope draping DDT and drops to the mat. The other bagger distracts Orton but Cody accidently knocks him off the apron. Cody turns around to a RKO from Orton for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton

- We get a promo for tonight’s World Heavyweight Title match.

World Heavyweight Title Match: Big Show vs. Mark Henry

Big Show makes his way out first followed by the World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry.

The bell rings and they charge into a lock up. Henry pushes Show off and he runs right back, locking up again. Henry takes it to the corner. Show blocks him and wails away with body shots and punches to the head. Henry goes down and Show stomps on him. Henry flees the ring and regroups on the floor.

Henry comes to the apron and Show brings him over the top rope and into the ring. Show with a big superkick to Henry. Henry goes back to the floor. Henry demands his World Title belt and goes to walk off. Show stops him and brings it back in the ring. Show comes in and Henry takes out his knee. Henry scoop slams Show and drops a big elbow. Henry works on Show’s knee now and drops another big elbow on it. Henry locks a body scissors on Show’s leg. Henry continues dropping elbows and working over Show’s hurt leg.

Show fights out but his leg goes out and he goes back down. Henry with a 2 count. Henry goes right back to work on Show’s leg and knee. Show fights Henry off again as the crowd chants for him. They both charge with clotheslines, collide and go down. They get to their knees and trade headbutts. They get to their feet. Show hits a series of headbutts and a clothesline, knocking Henry down. Another clothesline by Show. Show continues to run over Henry as the crowd pops. Show scoop slams Henry and calls for the chokeslam. Show nails it but Henry kicks out at 2.

Show signals for the WMD knockout punch but Henry blocks it. Henry nails the World’s Strongest Slam for a 2 count. Henry shows frustration now. Henry goes to the top rope but Show meets him. Show chokeslams Henry from the top rope and covers him but Henry manages to kick out at 2. Show goes to the top rope now but Henry meets him this time. Henry hits a huge superplex , collapsing the ring. The crowd goes nuts as Henry and Show both lay. The referee also falls down. Everyone is shocked at the ring collapsing and a “holy shit” chant breaks out.

We come back from replays and a trainer is in the ring checking on Big Show while a referee tends to Henry. They calls for help and EMT’s bring out a stretcher. They realize that the stretcher isn’t big enough for Show and calls for a cart to be brought out. They drive the flatbed golf cart out. John Laurinaitis and Teddy Long come walking out with more referees. Show starts to move around and the crowd cheers for him. Only one half of the ring actually collapsed as the ramp side is still standing. Show is loaded onto the cart and driven away. Henry is helped out of the ring but falls to the floor. Henry is helped up but he pushes everyone away and falls back down. Teddy Long pleads with him to let them help him. Henry crawls to the ramp and says he doesn’t need help. Henry falls down again as we go to the replay again. Henry is cheered as he manages to walk to the back with some help from officials. Laurinaitis takes the mic and introduces himself. He says no matter what the injuries to Show and Henry are and no matter what the damage is to the ring, he’s going to give us what we want. The WWE Title match is still on for tonight, he announces. Laurinaitis thanks the fans and walks off.

- We get a video looking at the feud between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio.

Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title: John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio

Ricardo Rodriguez begins the introduction as WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio comes driving into the arena. Del Rio isn’t happy as he heads to the ring and lays eyes on the damage done by Big Show and Mark Henry. John Cena’s music hits next to a big pop and out he comes.

KEVIN NASH VS CM PUNK WILL HAPPEN IN NEAR FUTURE?

Chad Dukes of 106.7 The Fan DC’s Lavar Arrington Show with Chad Dukes does a wrestling show (The Chad Dukes Wrestling Show) on Friday nights. Last Friday, Dukes conducted an interview with Kevin Nash; during the interview Nash answered questions on the initial confrontation between himself and Punk, if his health was an obstacle in returning to the WWE and if we would see a reprisal of the Punk/Nash clashes.

On CM Punk/Kevin Nash promo:

Chad Dukes: They had the whole thing with you where they you were being kind of disrespected by him, and they were blurring the lines between what was a shoot and what was a promo…How much…I know you said you didn’t want to work with a script, but did they give you a rough outline of what you to say? Were you okay with everything that was said back to you? Because you’re a guy that did do the things you said; you established a pay scale, you made it so wrestlers could get paid more than they ever had before. You brought that credibility and I felt there was so me disrespect there. How much of that were you okay with and how much of that was actually a shoot?

Nash: Well the thing was I understood what my job was. Going in, my job wasn’t to bury a baby face and come across more witty than he was or anything else. That wasn’t what I was brought in to do. The old Kevin Nash, would at anyone’s cost, would have gotten over. As you get older, and your best friend is very much in charge of the day to day process, and he looks at you and asks you to do something that’s just kind of like ‘Wow, they’ve really got me hog-tied on this one.”

After question on health:

Nash: CM Punk has on the back of his t-shirt “Best in the World.” Ya know? And I said to myself, I said to a bunch of other people ya know, his shirt says best in the world. He’s going to have to prove it if he is going to drag my 52 year old carcass through 14 minutes of a match.

On future of a CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash match:

Chad Dukes: Do you think we’ll get that match with you and Punk? I think a lot of people would still like to see that come to fruition even though he is kind of doing the baby face thing with Hunter right now…You think we’ll ever see that match?

Nash: Absolutely.

KEVIN NASH RETURNING SOON

Kevin Nash will reportedly finish filming the movie he is working on towards the end of this week. As noted before, Nash is expected to return to WWE TV in some capacity before the year is over. Nash also recently got some tattoo work done on his arm.

ACTUAL VENGEANCE PPV PLAN FOR WWE

At one point in the past week, the idea for the main event at WWE’s Vengeance pay-per-view was John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kevin Nash in a four-way, but that will likely change. We noted earlier that WWE has a CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio singles feud penciled in for this year.

SHAWN MICHAELS TEASES HIS RETURN?

WWE issued a video to mailing list subscribers of Shawn Michaels interrupting Triple H’s promotion of the Inside Out DVD. After teasing the movie’s plot of Triple’s character killing his best friend, Michaels questions the Chief Operating Officer’s decision making in a tongue-in-cheek manner.

He tells Triple H, “I just want you to know there’s no hard feelings ’cause of what you did to my friend, Kevin Nash. You fired him like a no-good S.O.B. and I’m sure you had a perfectly good reason even though it looks like you’ve changed an awful lot and you’re not the same guy you used to be.

“I’m not going to hold that against you. What anyone says that you’re a turncoat, backstabber—I don’t believe them.”

Michaels then tells Hunter that he may be seeing him again soon, and leaves the room.

KEVIN NASH TO APPEAR AT NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS??

 According to multiple sources within WWE, Kevin Nash is booked to appear at this Sunday’s Night of Champions pay-per-view event in Buffalo, New York.

Triple H “fired” Nash on RAW last week and the WWE website announced it later that week. Nash stated on Twitter that the release was due to financial reasons. As we have noted before, the whole thing was part of the storylines. No word yet when Nash will actually wrestle for WWE but he is booked to appear at Night of Champions.

WHY KEVIN NASH WAS FIRED AND RELEASED

 As noted before, Kevin Nash’s “release” that was announced earlier today is all part of what’s happening on TV. The release was announced to play off the major deal that John Laurinaitis signed Nash to on RAW.

The reason for Nash’s exit from the WWE storylines is because Nash has booked a movie role, likely the same one that he is dieting for. Word is that the people behind the movie didn’t want to insure Nash for filming while he was working as a pro wrestler. Nash will likely stay gone until he is done filming the movie. No word yet if this will affect any of his independent dates.

MORE ON KEVIN NASH'S RELEASE

The announcement that WWE has released Kevin Nash from their website today has been confirmed as part of the storylines. Nash was signed to a Legends deal after the Royal Rumble earlier this year and has not been signed to a new performer’s contract since returning to TV.

Nash has been reaching out to some people and saying that he’s released, but most don’t believe him.

RAW opens up this week with CM Punk comin out and then Kevin Nash. Triple H ends up coming out and arguing with Nash. Nash asks Triple H what he’s going to do if he touches him. Nash starts taunting Triple H. Triple H lays him out with a right hand. Triple H says maybe they were friends and definitley he’s fired. Triple H drops the mic and leaves the ring as Nash sits in the ring. Punk laughs at Nash and wishes him the best in his future endeavors as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and we see Kevin Nash walking to a limousine backstage. John Laurinaitis gets in it with him and they drive off.

Air Boom vs. The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal

We go to the ring and out come the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. Out next come their opponents, Jinder Mahal and The Great Khali.

Jinder and Bourne start things off. Jinder works Bourne over but gets taken down with a headscissors. Bourne comes back with kicks but Mahal drops him with a big knee. Mahal comes back with a 2 count and tags in Khali for a little bit of double teaming. Khali drops Bourne with a big right hand. Khali kicks Bourne down in the corner and puts the boot to him. Khali with big chops and a tag to Mahal.

Mahal drops a series of big knee drops on Bourne. Bourne blocks a shot and tags in Kofi. Kofi comes in from up high and unloads on Mahal. Kofi with a dropkick and a big right hand. Kofi runs the ropes but Khali pulls them down and he goes to the floor. Khali throws Kofi back in. Mahal holds him as Khali goes for the big overhand shot. Khali accidentally hits Mahal and lays him out. Bourne hits Air Bourne on Mahal for the win.

- We see Ricardo Rodriguez and WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio arrive backstage in a car. They get out and come walking in the arena. JR hypes CM Punk vs. R-Truth for tonight.

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly to join the announcers for commentary. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Eve Torres is in the ring waiting as Beth Phoenix makes her way out for this #1 contender’s match. Beth is accompanied to the ring by Natalya. She also joins the announcers for commentary. The bell rings and they lock up. Beth shoves Natalya off. Eve comes back with a right hand and a headlock. Both drops Eve for a 2 count. Eve comes back with a kick to the gut and a suplex for 2. Eve fights Beth off but gets thrown into the ring post. Beth goes outside of the ring and pulls Eve’s arm around the post.

- After the match, Eve gets dumped on the floor and Natalya lays Kelly out from behind. Natalya and Beth pose in the ring as we go to replays.

- We see Christian and Drew McIntyre backstage talking. Christian says he deserves one more shot at the World Title. Alberto Del Rio walks up and interrupts, asking for a minute with Christian. Del Rio points out that Christian doesn’t have the World Title because of John Cena. Christian says if he was going to take out John Cena, it would be on his own terms and not Del Rio’s. Del Rio says Christian got an AA from Cena last week and then 24 hours later lost the cage match. Del Rio rubs it in some more and walks off, leaving Christian to ponder.

Punk brings things back in the ring but Truth meets him with stomps until the referee breaks it up.

Truth continues the offense but can only manage a 1 count. Punk fights out of a headlock but gets thrown out to the floor. The Miz attacks from behind and takes out Punk’s knee while the referee isn’t looking. Truth brings Punk back into the ring and covers for a 2 count. Truth works on the knee now as Miz cheers on from ringside. Truth drags Punk to the apron and slams his knee into it as the crowd boos. Punk manages to roll Truth up for a 2 count and then backslide him for another pin attempt. Truth kicks Punk’s knee out and he goes down. Truth with a series of right hands now before going back to work on the leg.

Punk gets to his feet and fights back with kicks and forearm shots. Truth stops him and delivers a scoop slam. Truth goes to the top rope but Punk stops him. Punk with chops and right hands. Punk superplexes Truth down to the mat and both are down. They get up and Punk hits a right hand and several kicks. Punk with a dropkick and the high knee in the corner, followed by the bulldog. Punk springboards in with a clothesline and signals for GTS. Truth blocks GTS and drops Punk on his face for a 2 count. Truth misses the scissors kick. Miz grabs Punk’s leg. Punk kicks Miz through the ropes and sends him back. Miz gets pissed and is sent to the back by the referee. Truth comes from behind and nails Punk. Punk grabs him and nails the GTS for the win.

- After the match, Triple H’s music hits and out he comes. Punk says he isn’t falling for Triple H punching Nash earlier. Punk thinks Nash is in on something with Triple H. Triple H says it doesn’t matter because Nash is gone. Triple H says he just changed their match at Night of Champions. Triple H says he wants to hurt Punk bad and won’t be happy with just pinning him. The match will now be a No DQ match. Triple H says he will hurt Punk and Punk better hope he getsit out of his system because when he’s done, he might just fire Punk. Triple H goes to leave the ring but Punk calls him back, calling him a Cerebral Ass-assin. Punk says he isn’t afraid, Triple H has been hitting people with sledgehammers for years and hasn’t killed anyone yet. Punk wants a stipulation added – if Punk wins, Triple H resigns as COO. Triple H agrees to the stipulation and walks off.

- Backstage we see Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins talking to Wade Barrett about something they have in the works. Alberto Del Rio walks in and tells Barrett that Cena embarrassed him on SmackDown last week by beating him in 5 minutes. Barrett says he needs no incentive from Del Rio to take care of Cena. If we don’t believe him, just watch what he does tonight. Back to commercial.

David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty vs. Jerry Lawler and Zack Ryder

Back from the break and we see replays from last week where Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga started stuff with Jerry Lawler. The two are in the ring waiting now as Lawler makes his way out. Lawler knocks them and introduces his partner… Zack Ryder. Ryder gets a new introduction video with highlights from his YouTube show. Ryder comes out after the video and is filming on his camera.

Ryder starts things off with McGillicutty and gets beat down as soon as the bell rings. McGillicutty takes Ryder to the corner and tags in Otunga for some double teaming in the corner. They taunt Lawler and Otunga continues the assault on Ryder. McGillicutty gets in a right hand as the ref isn’t looking. Otunga goes back to work on Ryder now and stops him fro tagging in Lawler. Otunga drops Lawler on the apron and turns around to Ryder slamming him on his face. Lawler comes in and ducks a clothesline. Lawler fires away with right hands and clotheslines Otunga. Lawler hits a dropkick for a 2 count as McGillicutty breaks the pin. Ryder dumps McGillicutty to the floor. Lawler hits the right hand from the second rope as Ryder begs for the tag. Ryder comes in and hits the Ruff Ryder on Otunga for the win.

– We see Alberto Del Rio backstage talking to Dolph Ziggler. Del Rio says there’s a rumor that when Ziggler lost to Orton on RAW last week, Vickie Guerrero was ready to drop him. Ziggler says Del Rio wasn’t here last week and must be scared of Cena. The Bella Twins walk up and say they’ve missed Del Rio. He asks for five minutes and they walk off, saying they will be waiting for him. Del Rio says Vickie is looking for new clients because she needs someone to fight for her. Del Rio rubs it in some more, says it’s not his business and walks off with Ricardo.

– We see World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton walking backstage as we go to commercial.

Randy Orton vs. Heath Slater

Back from the break and out comes the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to a big pop. Out next comes Orton’s opponent Heath Slater to no reaction at all.

The bell rings and Orton kicks Slater and then throws him into the ringpost. Orton unloads with uppercuts and drops Slater. Orton begins stomping away. Orton drops a big knee drop. They end up in the corner and Slater hits a thumb to the eye. Slater with an enziguri and a 2 count. Slater puts knees in Orton’s back and applies a headlock. Orton fights out but Slater catches him in a spinebuster for another 2 count. Slater with another headlock.

Orton fights free with headbutts and drops Slater with clothesline. Orton with a scoop powerslam. Orton takes Slater to the apron and hits the second rope DDT. Orton drops to the mat and waits for Slater. Orton nails the RKO for the win.

- Backstage we see Zack Ryder talking to John Cena. Ryder is having his show filmed and is super excited about winning his match. Cena congratulates Ryder and walks off as Ryder continues filming his show. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Riley is going at it with Barrett. Barrett with a big sideslam and a 2 count. Barrett continues the assault until Ziggler and Morrison come in. Ziggler takes out Ziggler then the others with a kick. Ziggler tries to roll up Morrison. Morrison with right hands. Christian comes in for a distraction. Ziggler applies the sleeper on Morrison now. Swagger comes in and makes Morrison tap with the ankle lock. Morrison is eliminated. Vickie walks down to the ring as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Dolph is going at it with Riley now. Riley comes back and hits a big spinebuster. Riley knocks Barrett off the apron but gets dropped by Ziggler for a 2 count. Swagger is tagged in and continues the attack on Riley. Swagger makes Riley also tap to the ankle lock. Alex Riley is eliminated as Vickie looks on approvingly. Sheamus comes in next.

Barrett eventually is tagged in and slugs it out with Sheamus. Barrett with a big knee to the gut. Barrett works Sheamus over on the ropes now and hits him with knees to the head. Ziggler gets in a cheap shot and Barrett kicks Sheamus with a big boot for another 2 count. Barrett takes Sheamus down with a headlock now. Sheamus fights free and ducks a clothesline. Sheamus with forearm shots and a big slam. Sheamus decks Christian off the apron and hits Barrett with big forearms to the chest. He knocks Ziggler off the apron and hits Barrett with more forearms. Sheamus with a high knee to Barrett’s face. Sheamus goes to the top and nails a big shoulder. Ziggler gets dropped again off the apron. Sheamus misses the Brogue kick. Barrett kicks Sheamus in the gut and goes for Wasteland. Sheamus blocks it and nails the Brogue kick for a pin. Barrett is eliminated.

Sheamus turns around and Christian takes him down for a 2 count. Christian goes for Killswitch but Sheamus dumps him to the apron. Christian nails a huge slap to Sheamus’ face. Sheamus chases him around the ring, knocking Ziggler down again. Sheamus and Christian run through the crowd and back to the ring. Sheamus finally catches him on the ramp and wails away with right hands. Both Sheamus and Christian have been eliminated by count out. Referees separate them on the ramp. It’s down to Cena vs. Ziggler and Swagger. Cena unloads on both Swagger and Ziggler until they manage to stop him. Swagger covers for a 2 count and continues the assault. Ziggler is tagged in and stomps away some more. Swagger is tagged back in as they keep Cena in their corner. Swagger with a submission now.

The crowd chants for Cena and Vickie looks on smiling as SWagger continues to beat Cena up. Cena fires back with right hands and a shoulder block, and another. Cena with the big back drop on Swagger and one for Ziggler. Cena hits a Five Knuckle Shuffle on Ziggler and Swagger at the same time. Cena goes for the AA on Swagger but drops him and clotheslines Ziggler. Swagger takes advantage and lays Cena out. Swagger hits a Swagger Bomb in the corner. Ziggler tags himself in and Swagger argues with him. Cena hits the AA on Ziggler and covers him. Ziggler is eliminated. Swagger pulls Cena over and applies the ankle lock. Cena reverses it and applies the STF. Swagger taps out, giving Cena the win.

Winner: John Cena

– Alberto Del Rio rushes the ring as soon as the match is over but Cena hits him with an Attitude Adjustment. Del Rio is sent out of the ring and into Ricardo’s arms. Del Rio and Cena stare each other down as RAW goes off the air.

Tonight's WWE RAW kicks off with Justin Roberts introducing Ricardo Rodriguez in the ring from the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Ricardo introduces WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio, who comes in driving a Lamborghini. The WWE Champion makes his way to the ring.

We see a clip on the big screen of Del Rio injuring Rey Mysterio last week. Del Rio takes the mic and begins to introduce himself but John Cena's music interrupts and out comes Cena to a pop from the crowd. Jim Ross, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are on commentary tonight as Cena runs down to the ring.

Cena takes the mic and gets a mixed reaction from the Canadian fans. Cena and Del Rio come face to face in the ring. Cena says everyone already knows who Del Rio is. Cena says he's here to re-introduce himself to Del Rio. Cena puts out his hand but Del Rio won't shake it. Cena introduces himself and the crowd boo's. Cena says he's the one who's going to take the WWE Title off Del Rio's waist. And he's going to hurt Del Rio, he says. Cena goes on at Del Rio and says there's only one man in WWE who can go toe-to-toe with him. Cena says Del Rio isn't CM Punk, which means he's going to whip his ass when he faces him. Cult of Personality hits and out comes CM Punk to a big pop.

The crowd chants for Punk as he takes the mic. Punk says he's feeling a little de-ja-vu and feels like this is a re-run because Cena wants another title shot. Punk says he beat Cena twice in high pressure situations. Punk talks about how Del Rio cashed in on him and says if anyone is getting a title shot, it's going to be him. Del Rio chimes in and Punk tells him to never interrupt while he's speaking again. Punk says he has a problem with Del Rio, Triple H and Kevin Nash trying to screw him. Punk points out that he and Cena both have had problems with Triple H. Punk brings up the text message that Nash got and says someone wants Del Rio to be champion real bad. Del Rio says it's destiny. Punk says destiny is him cashing in his rematch for a WWE Title shot. Cena says they mean him cashing in his title shot, tonight. Punk says he's putting is name out there officially for a title shot. So does Cena. Del Rio says he is officially ignoring both of then. He defended his title last week so now it's time for him to celebrate, he says. But it won't happen here in front of these Canadians, he says. Del Rio tells Punk to stop crying. Triple H's music hits and out comes the COO.

Triple H tells Del Rio to take the smug look off his face because he's not here to protect him. Triple H says Del Rio has a match up next. He tells Cena and Punk that you can't just cash in a rematch clause when you want to. He says that's his job because he's the COO. He calls the shots. Triple H says it doesn't matter what they think because he runs the show. Triple H says Del Rio will defend the WWE Title at Night of Champions against the man who wins tonight's main event - CM Punk vs. John Cena. Punk, Del Rio and Cena all stare each other down as we go to commercial.

Alberto Del Rio vs. John Morrison 

Back from commercial and WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio waits as John Morrison comes out for a non-title match. The bell rings and Del Rio taunts Morrison from the corner. They go to lock up and Del Rio stalls some more. Morrison decks him with a right hand and beats him down. Morrison continues the attack with kicks and a 2 count. Del Rio starts a comeback but Morrison tackles him for another 2 count. Del Rio comes back with kicks and takes control.

Del Rio continues the assault on Morrison and begins working on the arm. Morrison fights back but Del Rio stops him. Morrison finally gets a dropkick in for a 2 count. Morrison takes Del Rio to the mat now. Del Rio fights out of a headlock and kicks Morrison. Del Rio goes behind Morrison for a takedown but it's blocked. Morrison sends Del Rio out to the floor and moonsaults from the apron. Del Rio ducks and Morrison lands on his feet. Del Rio sends Morrison into the fan barrier as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Del Rio has Morrison down on the mat. 2 count for Del Rio and he goes back to a chinlock. Morrison fights out but Del Rio hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for another 2 count. Del Rio runs his mouth now as Ricardo cheers him on from ringside. Del Rio slams Morrison to the mat for another 2 count. Del Rio puts a knee in Morrison's back and goes back to working on the neck. Morrison fights out again but Del Rio rams him back into the corner. Del Rio charges but Morrison dumps him out to the floor. Del Rio comes back in the ring and Morrison unloads with offense for a 2 count. Del Rio ends up hitting a nice back suplex with a bridge for a 2 count.

Morrison counters the armbreaker from Del Rio and rolls him up for a close 2 count. Another counter by Morrison and a nice DDT for a 2 count. Morrison goes for a kick to the head but Del Rio blocks it. Morrison blocks that with a hurricanrana for another close 2 count. More back and forth action. Morrison connects with the flash kick. Del Rio moves and Morrison lands on his feet from Starship Pain. Del Rio throws Morrison into the ring post and then applies the cross armbreaker as Morrison taps out for the win.


Winner: Alberto Del Rio 

- After the match, Del Rio goes out to the floor where Morrison is and applies the armbreaker again. Ricardo Rodriguez waves the wWE Title over Morrison and taunts him as Del Rio tightens the hold before breaking it.

- The announcers hype tonight's Punk vs. Cena main event as we go back to commercial. We see Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres backstage as we go to commercial.

Nikki Bella vs. Eve Torres 

Back from the break and The Bella Twins are in the ring. Out next comes WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly with Eve Torres at her side. We see a video from earlier today where Beth Phoenix and Natalya where they say they don't want to be like Kelly and the other Divas but they want something and won't tell us what it is. Nikki and Eve lock up to start the match and Nikki beats Eve down. Eve takes her to the corner but gets dumped to the apron. Eve gets knocked to the floor after some distraction and Brie stomps on her. Nikki brings Eve back in the ring and stomps on her.

Nikki applies a headlock but Eve fights out and sideslams her. Eve fights back with kicks and a clothesline. Eve does the booty pop over Nikki and hits a moonsault for 2. More back and forth action, another 2 count for Nikki in the corner after she knocks Eve off the top. Eve with a nice neckbreaker out of nowhere for the win.

Winner: Eve Torres 

- After the match, Brie Bella and Kelly Kelly come in the ring. Kelly lays out Brie with her leg drop. Kelly celebrates with Eve as Natalya and Beth Phoenix appear on the stage. Beth claps as Natalya stares at the ring.

- We see Kevin Nash walking around backstage as we go to commercial.

Jack Swagger vs. Alex Riley 

Back from the break and Vickie Guerrero makes her way out to the stage to introduce her potential new client, Jack Swagger. Swagger comes out and walks to the ring with Vickie on his arm. The announcers note that Alex Riley, who is waiting in the ring, has requested this rematch.

They lock up and go to the mat. Swagger brings Riley back up and slams him down. Swagger controls until Riley hits a big spinebuster. The WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler walks out and argues with Vickie, saying she doesn't need any other clients. Swagger goes for the gutwrench but Riley counters it. Vickie ends up getting pushed down on the floor. Swagger sees this and thinks Ziggler did it. Swaggee goes to the floor and has words with Ziggler. Swagger comes back in and gets pinned by Riley for the win.

Winner: Alex Riley 

- After the match, Ziggler and Vickie argue the whole way up the ramp as Swagger yells from the ring.

- We see Triple H backstage talking on the phone before walking off to the ring. Nash and Triple H will meet in the ring up next.

- Back from the break and out comes Triple H to the ring. Triple H says there is a lot of controversy over how Kevin Nash returned at SummerSlam. He says he spoke with Nash this week and thinks they have it behind them but in order to be transparent to the fans, he wants to do it out here now. Triple H calls out Nash and here he comes, again with no music.

Nash enters the ring and embraces Triple H. Triple H recalls how Nash got a text to his phone, that didn't come from him. Triple H says what happened wasn't supposed to happen and he wants everyone to see they are on the same page. Nash says he believes Triple H when he says he didn't lie. Nash thought the text came from Triple H and he was doing him a favor. Nash says he was going to apologize to CM Punk but after all the crap he talked last week, not so much. Triple H has a few words with him. Nash asks Triple H to please don't ask him not to be a man. Triple H understands Punk crossed the line with him last week but he doesn't work here. Nash says that's right, he doesn't work here so he doesn't have to get Punk over or take his crap.

Triple H says Nash doesn't work for WWE so he can't be calling guys out here. Triple H tells Nash to call Punk out across the street at Tim Horton's or something. Triple H doesn't want to do this but he asks Nash to please leave. Cult of Personality hits and out comes CM Punk to the stage. Punk asks Nash to please not leave. Punk wants to know who sent the text message and wants to play a game of Clue. Was it Big Lazy with a giant tube of Just For Men? Or was it Triple H with his trusty sledgehammer? Maybe it was Stephanie McMahon with a candlestick in the library, or something, he says. Punk doesn't believe a word either man is saying. Punk says so he stepped over a few lines, Nash should know about that because he's a line stepper too. The crowd chants for Punk.

Punk says he's done talking and enters the ring. He says he's kicking Nash's ass this week. Triple H gets in between and backs Punk up. Punk tells Triple H to get his hands off. Punk accuses Triple H of being out to get him from the beginning. Punk calls Stephanie bean-headed. Triple H says he knows Punk is a line crosser and he's promised the world, including the Board, he won't get involved physically but Punk doesn't need to make the mistake that Triple H isn't the same damn guy he's always been. Triple H says if Punk crosses that line with him, he will leave him lay. Punk jokes that Triple H keeps his cell phone and his balls in Stephanie's purse. Out of nowhere Nash decks Punk with a right hand. This pisses Triple H off and he takes Nash out of the ring, up the ramp and to the back. Punk sits up in the ring and smiles as the crowd chants his name.

- We get more hype for Punk vs. Cena tonight as we go to commercial. Up next is Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

- Back from the break and we see Kevin Nash and Triple H. Triple H asks him to just go. Nash says he never thought he'd say this but Triple H has changed and walks off.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty 

We go to the ring and out first comes Kofi Kingston followed by his partner Evan Bourne. The WWE Tag Team Champions are out next.

Bourne and McGillicutty start things off and go at it. Bourne comes back with stiff kicks and tags in Kofi for some double teaming. 2 count by Kofi. McGillicutty turns it around and beats Kofi down in the corner. Kofi hits a big crossbody from the top for a 2 count. Kofi calls for the Boom Drop but Otunga pulls McGillicutty out. Kofi goes to the floor but gets clotheslined. McGillicutty works Kofi over on the floor now before getting another 2 count. Otunga is tagged in for more double teaming and another 2 count. Otunga with another pin attempt and a chinlock on Kofi.

McGillicutty comes back in with a double team dropkick and another 2 count. Kofi fights out of a headlock but McGillicutty slams him. Kofi with a scissors takedown and tag to Bourne. Otunga comes in also but Bourne unloads on him and gets a 2 count. Kofi dumps MCGillicutty to the floor and kicks Otunga down. Bourne hits Air Bourne and covers Otunga for the win and the titles.

Winners and New WWE Tag Team Champions: Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston 

- Back from the break and Josh Matthews is backstage with Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne. Kofi speaks but soon gets splashed with ice by the RAW locker room and the celebration begins.

- Triple H is backstage when John Laurinaitis runs up. He says the Canadian authorities have just told him Kevin Nash was in a car wreck and hands him the hospital information on a piece of paper. Triple H runs off as Laurinaitis watches and we go back to commercial.

- Back from commercial and Santino Marella makes his way out. He's attacked from behind on the ramp by The Miz and R-Truth. They take him to the ring and continue the assault. Miz lays out Santino with a Skull Crushing Finale and asks for a mic. Truth says that's going to happen to Little Jimmy everytime. He's been saying there's a conspiracy in the WWE all along. Truth goes back and forth with the crowd as they "what?" him. Truth says Triple H, Nash, Punk, Cena and everyone else is all in on the conspiracy. Truth says now that Triple H is in charge, it's on longer about the truth. He tells Miz it's no longer about him either.

Miz says Truth is right, there is a conspiracy. Miz gets into it with the crowd also. He talks about main eventing WrestleMania. Miz says now that Triple H is in charge, he has to pick a fight with Jared from Subway just to do something. A "you suck" chant breaks out. Truth insults the crowd for being Canadian. Lots of heat here from the crowd. Miz says he's sick of seeing people like Santino Marella get a match on RAW. Miz says he and Truth are sick of it all. They're going to start taking opportunities. Truth says any and all opportunities that come their way, they're taking them. Truth says they're going to push back at any conspiracies that try to push them around and sooner later, everyone's going to get got. And that's the truth, the whole truth. Miz says that's awesome and Truth's new remix hits as they insult the crowd some more to the beat. Instead of "what's up?" they rap "you suck" to the fans.

- We see CM Punk and John Cena headed to the ring as we go back to commercial.

#1 Contender's Match: CM Punk vs. John Cena 

Back from the break and we see WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio sitting at ringside as is John Laurinaitis. We go to the ring and out first comes CM Punk. Out next comes John Cena. The winner of this one will face Del Rio at Night of Champions for the WWE Title.

Lots of playing to the crowd to start. The crowd throws Cena's t-shirt back to him. The bell rings and here we go. They finally lock up and Punk takes Cena to the mat first. They trade holds going back and forth on the mat before going back to their feet. They lock up again and Punk goes back to a headlock. Punk drops Cena with a shoulder. Cena leap frogs and takes Punk down with two shoulders and then the big back drop. Cena calls for Five Knuckle Shuffle but Punk rolls him up for a 2 count. Punk with a clothesline and a dropkick. Punk with a high knee in the corner and the bulldog. Punk stops on the apron and stares Del Rio down. Punk goes to the top but Cena knocks him off and down to the floor in front of Del Rio as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Punk back drops his way out of a headlock. Punk goes for the GTS but Cena blocks it and goes for the Attitude Adjustment. Punk counters that and comes back with a kick. Punk ends up on Cena's shoulders again but the AA is blocked. Punk with a clothesline from the top rope for a 2 count. Punk hits Cena with knees now and goes for the GTS. Cena blocks it and goes for the STF. Punk fights him off. Cena ducks a roundhouse kick and applies a crossface submission. Punk makes his way to the ropes and breaks the hold.

Cena charges but runs into the ringpost. Punk nails the GTS but Cena kicks out at 2. Punk goes to the top rope and goes for the big elbow drop but Cena moves out of the way. Cena goes to the top now for the big leg drop and nails it for a 2 count. Cena goes for the AA again but Punk fights out. Punk unloads on Cena with elbows to the head. Punk with a big kick for another close 2 count. Cena goes for the AA again and nails it this time but Punk kicks out before 2.

Cena rams Punk back into the corner and takes him up to the top. Punk knocks Cena back to the mat with headbutts. Punk with a crossbody off the top but Cena rolls through and stands up with Punk in his arms. Punk slides out and rolls Cena up for a 2 count. Punk connects with a big kick to the head and Cena goes down. Punk calls for GTS as Del Rio looks on from ringside. Punk goes for the GTS when Kevin Nash appears on the stage. Nash tells Punk this isn't over yet and Punk puts Cena down. Nash walks to the ring as Punk waits for him. Punk turns around to an AA from Cena for the win and the match at Night of Champions.

Winner and New #1 Contender: John Cena 

- As soon as the match is over, Del Rio rushes the ring and attacks Cena. The WWE Champion beats Cena down and hits a big kick to the head in the corner. Del Rio mounts Cena with right hands when John Laurinaitis comes in the ring and pulls him off. Laurinaitis and a referee back Del Rio up in the corner. Del Rio rushes out and attacks Cena again. They push him back into the corner again as Cena lays on the mat. Del Rio attacks Cena again, hits him with the WWE Title and stomps away. WHY KEVIN NASH PULLED OUT OF EVENTS

 Kevin Nash was pulled from weekend independent wrestling dates in Canada because WWE needs him to go to Pittsburgh to take all the necessary medical exams so he can be cleared to wrestle

RAW RATINGS FOR 8-15-11

 As noted before, the August 15th WWE RAW did a 3.27 cable rating and 5.04 million viewers. In comparison, the New York Jets vs. Houston Texans NFL preseason game did a 3.71 rating with 4.97 million viewers. RAW this week was the sixth highest rated show on cable for the night.

What’s not good about this week’s ratings are that the second hour plus the overrun averaged 380,000 less viewers than the first hour. RAW’s second hour normally does better since viewers know to tune in at 10pm and 11pm for the main event. Here is the segment breakdown.

The opener with Triple H and then Alberto Del Rio did a 3.73 rating, the high point of this week’s show. R-Truth vs. John Morrison in the Falls Count Anywhere match lost 817,000 viewers – one of the worst declines of any match all year.

The Miz’s Subway segment gained 225,000 viewers while Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres vs. The Bella Twins lost 52,000 viewers. Kevin Nash’s interview and segment with CM Punk gained 556,000 viewers in the 10pm slot, which is about average.

Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger lost 619,000 viewers, which is worse than usual. Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty lost another 412,000 viewers. The main event for the WWE Title with Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio gained 763,000 viewers, bringing the overrun to a 3.41 rating.

According to a source several people today have NO idea what's going on with Kevin Nash and said that he was never around the other talent this weekend, there were a couple of things that seemed interesting.

Kevin Nash worked the "Gathering of the Juggalos" even in Illinois over the weekend. He got in on late Friday night and wrestled a match with Sean Waltman (Scott Hall was there as well being taped for an upcoming E:60 feature on ESPN) against Kip and BG James. He was scheduled for another indy shot in Wisconsin with Kip and BG, but had pulled out a couple of days prior to the event. He told a couple of the guys at the Gathering that it had something to do with a new movie he got casted in and told others that his neck was acting up. He left Illinois at 4 in the morning to head back to Memphis for an early afternoon flight. Most assume he knew at that point that he was headed to California for SummerSlam.

One person I spoke with this morning told me that the new WWE '12 game features "Kevin Nash", not "Diesel", and that's more than likely the main reason the commentators announced him by his real name last night on the pay per view, rather than saying "Diesel". It's also a big part of why they are bringing Kevin back now as they gear up to promote the game hard and heavy.

No one knows anything about Kevin's contract situation at this point and whether or not he's signed a new deal separate from the "Legends" contract he signed back around the Rumble.

As far as the direction they will be going with Nash's interference from last night, one source told me that the writers were not told anything last night. However, one writer said today that Alberto Del Rio is apparently "not" the one behind Nash attacking CM Punk as a way for him to cash in the MITB contract and win the WWE Championship. It's no surprise that Vince, Hunter and Stephanie are keeping this thing very quiet.

RAW RESULT 8/15

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with stills and a look back at the WWE Title match from SummrSlam where CM Punk defeated John Cena, who had his foot on the ropes. We see Kevin Nash returning to attack CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio capturing the WWE Title. We go to the usual RAW opening video.

- We’re live from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California as the pyro goes off and Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. Triple H’s music hits and out he comes to kick off RAW. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler are with Cole on commentary.

Triple H understands people are upset at how SummerSlam ended last night. Triple H apologizes to the fans and to John Cena. He says he made a mistake and after watching replays, saw that John Cena’s foot was indeed on the ropes. Triple H says he will look Cena in the eye tonight and apologize. He says Cena and CM Punk were having a great match last night and if he wouldn’t have screwed it up, he doesn’t know who would have won. Triple H says he had nothing to do with what else happened. He admits he is friends with Kevin Nash. Triple H says Nash called him and asked him to leave a few tickets to SummerSlam and that’s the last he spoke to him. Triple H says he had no knowledge Nash was going to attack Punk. Triple H says he hasn’t spoke to Nash but has invited him via text to explain himself on RAW tonight. He also says he didn’t know about Del Rio cashing in. Triple H says he promised the world a week ago that when SummerSlam was over, there would be only one undisputed WWE Champion and here he is. Alberto Del Rio’s music hits and out he comes walking down the ramp with the WWE Title. No introduction from Ricardo Rodriguez and no car.

The new WWE Champion enters the ring and introduces himself to us – Alberto Del Rio, the undisputed WWE Champion. Del Rio has been saying it for weeks and weeks – it was his destiny to become WWE Champion. Del Rio says it was never his intention to cash in Money in the Bank at SummerSlam. He says destiny does whatever it wants. Plus, after what Kevin Nash did, Del Rio says he couldn’t resist. Some people are just born to be great, he says. Del Rio says he wants to represent each one of the fans with respect, with honesty, with passion. The crowd isn’t buying it. Del Rio says he will sign autographs for all the fans and they boo. He will take pictures with all the kids. They give that a mixed reaction. Del Rio says that’s the kind of champion he wants to be, a champion for his people. Mixed reaction again. Del Rio brings up his match tonight against Rey Mysterio and Rey’s name gets a big pop from his hometown crowd. Del Rio says he is happy he gets to defend first against Mysterio because we all love Mysterio. Del Rio says he loves Mysterio. A big 619 chant breaks out. Del Rio says he loves Rey again but adds that he loves beating Mysterio. Del Rio says he began his WWE career beating Mysterio. When he wakes up in the morning, he feels like beating Rey Mysterio. That’s exactly what he’s going to do tonight, he says. Del Rio says the people need to change their area code because there’s no more 619 after tonight. Their new hero will be him, the undisputed WWE Champion, after tonight. Del Rio drops the mic and continues to show off as his music hits.

- Cole hypes Del Rio vs. Mysterio for later tonight. We see Triple H backstage entering John Cena’s locker room before taking a commercial break.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: R-Truth vs. John Morrison

Back from the break and out comes R-Truth to a remixed version of his “What’s Up?” theme song. It starts out with him saying “the truth has set me free. Truth makes his way out for a Falls Count Anywhere match. Out next comes his opponent John Morrison.

They show a side video of John Morrison earlier in the day talking about how he was going to take Truth out on his terms tonight. The bell rings and they lock up, going to the corner. Truth kicks Morrison and hits him right a right. Morrison comes back fighting and they go at it. Truth with a big hip toss. Truth misses a leg drop. Morrison misses a kick and Truth rolls him up for 2. Another roll up for 2 by Morrison. Morrison clotheslines Truth out to the floor. Morrison corkscrews over the top rope and lands on Truth. 2 count on the floor by Morrison.

Morrison continues to beat up Truth on the outside. Morrison leaps off the fan barrier and kicks Truth to the floor for another 2 count. Morrison goes for a suplex on the floor but Truth blocks it. Truth drops Morrison hard on his face. 2 count by Truth on the floor. Truth looks around crazy as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Truth is still in control on the floor and gets another 2 count. During the break, Truth dumped Morrison from the turnbuckles out to the floor. Truth wails away on Morrison’s neck now. Truth with more pin attempts on the floor. Truth with running knees. Truth sets Morrison up on the fan barrier and clotheslines him off of it and over into the crowd. Truth with a pin attempt on the concrete now. Truth brings Morrison back to the ringside area but Morrison catches him with a kick to the head. 2 count by Morrison.

Truth gets up and slams Morrison into the steel steps. Truth pushes an office chair over but Morrison clotheslines him for a 2 count. Morrison suplexes Truth into the chair, leaving him sitting in it. Morrison runs back and hits Truth with a big knee to the face for the pin on the floor and the win.

Winner: John Morrison

- Back from the break and we get a WrestleMania 22 replay where Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Title. JR hypes tonight’s WWE Title match with Del Rio and Mysterio.

- We go to the ring and out comes The Miz. Miz says he is out here tonight because he has been asked by someone to say hello to someone else in the audience. Miz points out Subway’s Jared at ringside. Miz says Jared is a big fan of his but Jared shakes his head. Miz says he isn’t a fan of Jared and can do his job better than him. Miz says he can be a better Subway spokesperson than Jared. Miz walks down to ringside and grabs a sub out of Jared’s hand. Miz cuts a promo on the sub and says that’s better than anything Jared has ever done. Miz tells the Subway executives that the reason Subway’s new sub is trending is him. Miz says he will be a champion again because he’s The Miz and he’s awesome. Miz takes a few bites out of the sub as his music plays.

- A limousine pulls up outside and Kevin Nash steps out to a pop from the crowd. Nash makes his way through the backstage area as we go to commercial.

- Back from the break and Cole hypes the fact that Triple H, Punk and Nash are all here. We see country singer Trace Adkins at ringside.

Kelly Kelly and Eve Torres vs. The Bella Twins

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly with her partner Eve Torres. Out next come their opponents The Bella Twins.

Kelly starts things out with one of the Bellas. They lock up and go to the corner. Kelly with kicks and a head scissors takedown. Kelly hits a bulldog and a stinkface in the corner. Bella comes back and leg whips Kelly. The Bellas tag out and continue working on Kelly’s leg. 2 count by the Bellas. Brie continues working on Kelly’s leg. Kelly comes back and drops Bella on her face. Eve finally gets tagged in and hits a dropkick and a clothesline. The Bellas double team Eve but she comes back with a neckbreaker. Kelly runs in and takes out the other twin. Eve hits a moonsault on the other for the win.

Winners: Eve Torres and Kelly Kelly

- After the match, Eve and Kelly are celebrating in the ring when Beth Phoenix’s music hits. Beth and Natalya come out to the ramp and applaud Eve and Kelly as the two Diva teams stare each other down.

- Cole says that Kevin Nash will speak next. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Justin Roberts introduces Kevin Nash as a former WWE Champion, WCW Champion and one of the most influential stars in history. Nash makes his way out with no music and enters the ring.

Nash thanks his good friend Triple H for letting him come here to speak about last night. Nash informs everyone that he and Triple H have been friends for almost 20 years and Triple H is the godfather to his son. Nash says he asked Triple H for tickets to SummerSlam. Nash says he was watching and got a text message before the main event. The text said, “hey big man, no matter what happens, stick the winner in the main event.” Nash indicates that the message came from a friend. Nash tells CM Punk what he did last night was just business. Nash says he arrived tonight and Triple H is denying that he knew about Nash running in last night. Nash says he and Triple H need to get on the same page. Nash goes to leave and CM Punk’s music hits. Out comes Punk.

Punk stops on the stage with a mic. Punk asks Nash if he expects him to believe that load of crap. Punk says Nash and Triple H are best friends, he’s not buying it. Punk mocks Nash and Triple H saying he’s going to do what’s best for business. A Punk chant breaks out from the crowd. Punk says he’s always thought Triple H didn’t know what’s good for business and he’s heard that Nash doesn’t know what’s good for business. Punk says Nash is standing proof that he doesn’t know what’s good for business. Nash says this is the first time they have spoke and Punk needs to watch his mouth. Punk says Nash needs to watch the show – he says and does what he wants. Nash says Punk’s world just changed.

Punk says Nash’s story proves Triple H is a liar. Nash says he will show Punk the text message on his phone. Punk jokes back and reads a fake text from his sister about how she thought Nash was dead. Punk says it’s just Nash’s career that’s dead. Punk says he’s pissed at people but not Alberto Del Rio because he’s done that before. Punk says clearly Triple H is bringing back his cronies. Nash says all HHH has done is shake things up. Punk says no, he’s the one who did. Nash says Punk is an indie-rific, wannabe. Nash says Punk has only been here five years and in two main events. Punk brings up how Nash said in the past Eddie Guerrero wasn’t a main event talent. Punk says it’s 2011, not back in the day. Nash brings up how he and Scott Hall changed the business in 1996 and made a way for guys like Punk to make money. Nash continues to put down Punk and says he looks like a cook from Waffle House. Punk says Nash put his hands on him and that’s not good. Punk says he would rather be himself than show up somewhere as Oz, Vinnie Vegas or Diesel. Punk says if Nash wants a fight, they can do it tonight. Punk marches to the ring and security gets in between he and the ring.

Punk says he isn’t surprised Triple H has deemed Nash untouchable, because he didn’t call the security out, it must have been Triple H. Punk says he will go find out from the COO himself. Punk’s music hits as he stares down Nash from the ramp. We go to break.

- Back from the break and Kevin Nash walks into Triple H’s locker room but he’s not there. John Laurinaitis walks in and says he’s in a meeting. Laurinaitis says the way Punk talked to him last night and Nash tonight is unacceptable. Laurinaitis wants to talk to Nash about something in private and they walk off to his office.

Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger

We go to the ring and out comes Alex Riley. WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero are on commentary. Out next comes Riley’s opponent Jack Swagger.

The bell rings and they lock up. Swagger takes Riley to the corner and beats him down. Riley turns it around and beats Swagger down. Riley with forearms off the ropes. Swagger kicks Riley’s leg out and drops him with a shoulder. Swagger with a Swagger Bomb out of the corner and more double ax handles. More back and forth. Swagger with a side slam for a 2 count. Swagger goes back to work on the arm.

Swagger runs the ropes but Riley hits him with a spinebuster. Riley with a pair of clotheslines and a big slam on Swagger. Vickie takes JR’s cowboy hat off at ringside as Riley gets another 2 count in the ring. Vickie puts the hat on and parades around at ringside. She then gets on the apron and distracts the referee as Riley is trying to pin Swagger. Swagger recovers, takes advantage of the distraction and after a few attempts, hits Riley with a gutwrench for the win.

Winner: Jack Swagger

- We get another flashback of Rey Mysterio beating The Miz for the WWE Title. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Jack Swagger catches up with Vickie Guerrero backstage. He thanks her for her help. She says she was just trying to prove to Dolph… Swagger says she doesn’t have to prove anything to Dolph. Swagger says Vickie looks great and she’s a great manager. He says all the great managers like Bobby Heenan and Freddie Blassie had multiple clientele. Swagger says Vickie should think about expanding her roster and walks off as she smiles.

- We go to a video package with highlights from Axxess and SummerSlam weekend.

- We see CM Punk walk into Triple H’s locker room and Stephanie McMahon is there. She apologizes for him losing the title last night. Stephanie says in the end, people get what they deserve and walks off. Back to commercial.

Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne vs. David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty

Back from the break and out first comes Kofi Kingston followed by his partner Evan Bourne. Out next comes Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga, the WWE Tag Team Champions, for this non-title match. Kofi and McGillcutty start things out and go to the corner. McGillicutty with a big right hand. Kofi fights back and takes control before tagging in Bourne for some double teaming. Bourne comes back with kicks and a high knee until McGillicutty knocks him down and starts stomping. Otunga is tagged in for some double teaming.

Otunga continues the assault on Bourne and stops him from tagging with a clothesline, and another. Otunga taunts Bourne and hits another clothesline for a 2 count. Otunga tags back out and they double team Bourne in the corner again. McGillicutty steps on Bourne’s head and runs his mouth to Kofi. Suplex by McGillicutty and another 2 count. Bourne fights back but McGillicutty stops him. Bourne ducks a clothesline and tags in Kofi. Kofi comes in and takes out both of the tag champs. Dropkicks and forearms for McGillicutty. Kofi misses a splash in the corner but kicks a charging McGillicutty in the head. Kofi with a big shot from the top rope for 2 as Otunga breaks the pin. Kofi kicks Otunga to the floor. McGillicutty dropkicks Kofi into a tag to Bourne. McGillicutty goes down and Bourne nails Air Bourne for the non-title win.

- We see Rey Mysterio backstage getting ready for the main event as we go to commercial.


Undisputed WWE Title Match: Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio

Justin Roberts introduces Ricardo Rodriguez to begin the introduction for Alberto Del Rio. The WWE Champion comes in driving a Ferrari. Del Rio makes his way to the ring. Out next comes Rey Mysterio to a big pop from the hometown crowd.

The bell rings and they lock up. Del Rio goes behind but Rey reverses it. Del Rio ends up on the floor and Rey dropkicks him for a 2 count. Another roll up by Rey for 2. Del Rio drops him with a right hand and stomps away. Del Rio whips Rey hard into the turnbuckles and he goes down. Rey slides through Del Rio’s legs and drops him into position for 619. Rey goes for it but Del Rio rolls out to the floor as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Del Rio has Rey in a body scissors and is trying to rip his mask off. During the break, Del Rio suplexed Rey over the fan barrier outside. Rey fights out of the scissors now and drops Del Rio face first into the corner. Rey runs and dropkicks Del Rio in the face. Rey goes to the top but Del Rio knocks him down. Del Rio climbs up but Rey fights him off. Rey hits a big tornado DDT from the top and both men are down. Rey with a springboard crossbody for another 2 count. Rey rolls Del Rio up for yet another pin attempt. Del Rio gets up and kicks Rey hard in the ribs. Del Rio stalls and covers Rey for 2. Del Rio takes Rey back to the mat with a body scissors.

Rey fights out of the hold again and kicks Del Rio in the head. Del Rio charges with a dropkick but Rey moves and he slides through the ropes, down to the floor. Rey runs the ropes now and dropkicks Del Rio to the floor. Rey springboard moonsaults now from the apron to the floor, taking out Del Rio. Rey brings it back in the ring and climbs to the top. Rey comes down with the senton and the head scissors. Rey goes for 619 but Del Rio clotheslines him out of nowhere for a 2 count. And another 2 count from Del Rio. Del Rio shoves Rey back in the corner and charges but Rey puts his knees up. Del Rio catches Rey in a big backbreaker for another 2 count.

Del Rio continues the assault with right hands and shoulder thrusts in the corner. Del Rio takes Rey to the top turnbuckle, steps back and hits a running enziguri. Rey falls to the mat and Del Rio covers for a 2 count. Del Rio goes for the armbreaker but Rey rolls him up for 2. Del Rio comes right back with a dropkick. The crowd starts chanting 619 for Rey. Del Rio goes for the armbreaker again. Rey ends up on his shoulders and drops him for 619. Rey nails it and goes to the top. Rey comes down with a splash but Del Rio puts his knees up. Rey lands hard and Del Rio rolls him up for the pin and the win.

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

– After the match, Del Rio attacks Mysterio and then goes to take his mask off. Del Rio hits an armbreaker on Rey. Rey falls out to the floor and Del Rio follows, continuing to work on his arm. Del Rio brings Rey back in the ring and applies his armbreaker finisher. The referee tries to get Del Rio to break the hold but he won’t. John Cena runs out and goes crazy on Del Rio, sending him out of the ring. Cena says he is coming off one hell of a weekend and has a bunch of reasons to be pissed off. It could be Triple H, but no, he’s pissed off at a scumbag like Del Rio. After two guys like Punk and Cena leave it all in the ring, Del Rio goes into business for himself, Cena says. Cena says Del Rio is not a champion, he is a target. Cena says Del Rio will realize that holding onto the WWE Title makes every person he knows his enemy. Cena says Punk earned the right to be called a champion but Del Rio cashed in a briefcase and got lucky. Cena says Del Rio will eventually have to defend the title and if it’s against him, Del Rio won’t be so lucky. Del Rio is about to find out that his destiny is John Cena whipping his ass, Cena says. Cena drops the mic and his music hits as the WWE Champion mouths back from the stage.
