Bret Hart talks on HBK

Bret Hart wrote the following on his Facebook page:

"It's worth mentioning that although I did see Shawn earlier in the afternoon in the cafeteria, our in-ring face-off was unrehearsed and heartfelt on both sides and I can finally say that Shawn and I have finally made peace in what has been a long, draining, and sometimes pointless war of personalities. As for everything else that happened, on one hand, I finally found some closure. On the other hand, as far as Vince McMahon goes, I haven't closed anything at all. I have a lot of friends in a lot of places and we'll just have to see what happens next."

Actual Age of Shane McMahon

Today is former WWE executive and performer Shane McMahon's birthday, who turns 40 years old. In other birthdays, Bull Buchanan turns 42 while WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Graham would have turned 80. Also, yesterday was "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan's birthday, who turned 56 years old

Exclusive Eyewitness report on Randy Orton's Accusing Case

I was at the Kowloon after the show, as I do after every show in Boston. Wrestling personalities go to the Kowloon for a bite to eat after the show. Some wrestlers sign and some don't. That night, and the last time they were here, Orton chose not to. He still stays in his "heel character". He chooses to diss the crowd!

Two years ago when he went to the Kowloon he was a "good guy" and he came out after eating and signed, took pictures, and talked with everybody there, until everybody got at least something! I myself got two autographs from him.

This is just a case of a fan upset they didn't get an autography. I walked over to where this was happening and the mother was shooting off her mouth saying how Randy is such an A-hole and other obscenities and he was her least favorite wrestler!

I have heard Randy swear a few times because these kids just don't take no for an answer.

Brian Kendrik Talks about Vince McMahon

Former WWE star Brian Kendrick recently did an interview with The UK Sun. Below are some highlights from the interview:

"TV sucked because you saw a circus, backstabbers, power hungry people, suck ups, weak people... Also lots of really great, nice, funny people."

"The boss [Vince McMahon], I heard, not from his mouth, hates cigarettes, so I would smoke a half a pack a day at work. It was also an excuse to get the f--- out of the building for 10 minutes at a stretch."

WWE Changes Raw show to Smackdown\ECW

WWE's return to the Civic Center in Amarillo, Texas has been moved to Saturday, February 27th, 2010 and changed to a Smackdown/ECW house show. The event was originally going to be a Raw house show on Friday, February 26th, 2010

Why Randy in the wwe match

As noted before, the original plan before this past weekend was for Sheamus to defend the WWE Title against John Cena at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Those plans were changed with Randy Orton getting the title shot.
The match may have been changed because word is that John Cena is plagued by back problems with bulging discs. No word yet on the severity of Cena’s injury or what may come out of it.

Tommy Dreamer speaks on WWE

Tommy Dreamer posted a new blog on the WWE Universe website. Below is an excerpt:

I just wanted everyone to know that all is good with Tommy Dreamer. I can not thank you all enough for the tremendous support since my departure from ECW. Everything I said was true during my speech and I was so happy to have a chance to talk to everyone about how I was feeling. I was even happier to have my family in attendance. Frankly many of us never get a chance to say good bye to someone we love. I got a chance to do it to the world.

The WWE knows how important my fanbase is to me and has allowed me to stay on WWE Universe so I can keep you all updated on what is going on with me. You can follow me on Twitter as THETOMMYDREAMER. Within the next two weeks I will have been able to get all my thoughts into perspective and say my final good bye to the WWE Universe. Do not be sad, haven't we cried enough this past year(haha)

Full details on Bret Hart's return

Bret Hart first contacted WWE in February of 2009 to let them know that he was open to returning for a storyline. Hart’s girlfriend was going to school in Calgary and he would be based out of Calgary for a few years instead of Hawaii, where he had been. Bret was getting bored with retirement and thought of getting back into wrestling.
Bret notes that there were times when WWE seemed interested and other times when they really didn’t seem interested in his return at all. He told them a few times that if they weren’t that interested, he was fine with that and then he would always hear immediately back from them with interest. Talks for this year’s WrestleMania angle got serious last September.
There is a storyline in place through WrestleMania between Hart and Vince McMahon with hope for some sort of street fight or at least a showdown between the two at WrestleMania. Due to concussions from the past and his stroke in 2002, Hart is very limited to what he can do in the ring. He can’t take a traditional flat back bump. Obviously challenges like these could affect what happens between Bret and Vince. The original script for the RAW angle a few weeks back was for Vince to slap Bret in the face. Because of the concussion issue, they changed it to a kick in the stomach. It actually ended up being a kick to the groin from Vince, a miscue that Bret felt made the segment better.
Both Bret and WWE have laid out the basic details of the storyline and agreed on them. Each side has veto power regarding minor details. Hart is scheduled to return at next week’s RAW and is scheduled to be a regular on RAW through February. Bret’s contract with WWE is for through April and is only for this storyline. Bret is said to be open to ideas if WWE is interested in using him past that point and is open to signing a longer contract. If no contract would be offered, he is still open to appearing on the occasional show for the next few years while he’s mostly based out of Calgary.
Other sources report that revealing Bret’s stroke from 2002 in the storyline has been talked about. Apparently it will be a significant part of the angle at some point. Bret’s concussion issue is less likely to be brought up because it’s such a sensitive issue right now.
On the plane trip from Hawaii to RAW, Bret’s sciatic nerve in his lower back was acting up badly, causing concern that he would be limping to the ring. Bret rested after the trip and was pain free by the time RAW came on Monday night.

Muhammad Hassan reappearing on wrestling related event

Former WWE performer Mark Copani (a/k/a Muhammad Hassan) will be making his first wrestling-related appearance since parting ways with World Wrestling Entertainment just over four years ago this April at the "Wrestlefest" wrestling convention in Carteret, New Jersey. Furthermore, his former partner in crime, Shawn Daivari will be on hand for the event as well

Eric Says he is better than Vince

The following is an excerpt from an interview with Eric Bischoff from ScrippsNews.com:

"I have a tremendous respect for Vince [McMahon] and, in a perverse way, like him," [Eric] Bischoff said. "But at the end of the day, I think I'm better than him. I'm more creative than him and have a better feel for the business."

Bischoff then laughed.

"It's just that he happens to be a lot more successful than I am."

Bischoff now has another chance to compete with McMahon, although this challenge will be much tougher. WWE is a multimillion juggernaut while TNA lacks the deep pockets that WCW had with AOL/Time Warner backing.

TNA, though, does have the chance to establish itself as a successful secondary U.S. promotion. After the ratings success of last week's special, Spike is expected to ultimately give TNA a Monday-night time slot opposite "Raw."

Bischoff said he has watched the Jan. 4 "Impact" between "50 to 75 times" looking for ways to make the show better. While not happy with some of the production values and a disastrous finish to the opening X-Division cage match, Bischoff said he was happy with a product that featured the TNA debuts of Hogan as well as former WWE stars like Ric Flair and Jeff Hardy.

"Think of WWE as a giant aircraft carrier and TNA as an 18-foot speedboat," said Bischoff, 54. "There's a lot the aircraft carrier can do, but it's also big and slow. We can bring a more flexible, aggressive and nimble approach. There is an open-mindedness and risk-taking mentality that exists here. That's one thing I really like about this company."
