RAW RESULT 10/05

Tonight’s WWE RAW kicks off with the usual RAW opening video. We’re live from the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas as Michael Cole welcomes us. The Nexus music begins to play as we go to the ring.


Out comes Wade Barrett, Michael Tarver, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and David Otunga. Barrett has a smirk on his face as the crowd boo’s. Barrett says as you can see, Nexus is still standing here and he was victorious last night. A big “you suck” chant breaks out. Barrett wants to address some issues before he brings out the newest Nexus member. Barrett has identified the two men who hit the ring during his match last night – Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty from NXT 2. Barrett says he didn’t ask either man to get involved and barely knows them. Barrett says they are not a part of Nexus.


Barrett says he needed no help in beating Cena and asks the other 4 members of Nexus what they were thinking coming to the ring and risking a DQ. Otunga goes to defend the idea and Barrett doesn’t want to hear it. He says tonight is about celebrating the newest member of Nexus. Barrett asks the crowd to give the newest Nexus member a warm welcome. Out comes John Cena to no music. Cena looks weary and is still wearing his purple and yellow colors. Cena slowly walks to the ring and steps in.


Barrett says he knows Cena is a man of his word and will honor the stipulation. Barrett says Cena will realize that this is the best thing to happen to him. Tarver takes the mic and addresses Cena, talking about how he’s picked on him and beat him up in the past. Tarver says the joke is on Cena now because he failed. Tarver says they have a gift for Cena. Tarver presents him with a Nexus armband. Cena takes it and stares Tarver down. The crowd starts chanting for Cena. Cena takes off his purple and yellow armband and reluctantly puts on the Nexus one. Slater tells Cena everything will be ok because they are here for him. Slater says the fans want to know Cena’s feelings on the matter. Slater has a prepared statement that Cena must read to the fans. Barrett says this isn’t negotiable and Cena will read it now.


Cena snatches the mic and hesitates before reading the prepared statement. Cena acknowledges that he is officially a member of Nexus. That gets a mixed reaction from the fans, mostly boo’s. Cena says any enemy of Nexus is now an enemy of his. Cena doesn’t like reading the statement and hesitates before going on. Cena says he hopes his fans stick by him because you’re either Nexus or against us. Barrett says it will get easier as time goes on. Barrett announces Cena will have his first match as a member of Nexus tonight. It will be Mark Henry and Evan Bourne vs. Cena and a partner. Barrett lets Cena pick his partner. Cena steps face to face with Tarver and picks him. It will be Cena and Tarver vs. Bourne and Henry tonight. Barrett calls Bourne and Henry to the ring for the match right now.


John Cena and Michael Tarver vs. Evan Bourne and Mark Henry


The team of Evan Bourne and Mark Henry come to the ring for tonight’s first match. We see replays of Nexus beating up Bourne and Henry last week. It’s going to be Cena starting out with Bourne. Cena sticks out his hand for Bourne to shake as Nexus heads to the back. Tarver yells at Cena for this. Cena tags in Tarver to start the match. Tarver comes face to face with Bourne and starts talking trash. They lock up and Tarver hits a big knee, beating Bourne down. We go to commercial.


Back from commercial and Mark Henry is working over Michael Tarver. Cena is smiling a bit at this. Henry works on the arm of Tarver. Henry beats Tarver down in the corner and tags in Bourne for a double team move. Bourne with a 2 count. Bourne with a submission on Tarver now. Cena acts like he’s reaching for a tag. Henry is tagged in again. Tarver reaches for a tag from Cena but Cena pulls his hand back, allowing Henry to hit Tarver with a big shot. Henry with a big headlock now. Tarver tries to fight out but can’t.


Henry stands on Tarver before tagging back in Bourne. Henry slams Tarver and Bourne hits a standing moonsault for 2. Cena reaches his hand out again with a smirk on his face. Tarver fights back against Bourne but runs into a big boot in the corner. Tarver counters and hits an overhead suplex. Tarver crawls for a tag again but Cena pulls his hand away again. Cena goes to ringside to sign fan signs while Tarver yells at him for not being there to tag. Cena continues to sign autographs. Tarver turns around to Mark Henry. Henry hits the World’s Strongest Slam for the pinfall and the win.


Winners: Evan Bourne and Mark Henry


– After the match, Cena just smiles at ringside while Bourne and Henry celebrate. The crowd chants Cena’s name. He takes the mic and says he wants to make a statement of his own. Cena enters the ring and says he plans on doing one thing while he’s a member of Nexus – destroy it from within. The crowd pops for this. Tarver stands up. Cena says he will prove tonight that you can be Nexus and against us. Cena decks Tarver and lays him out. Cena goes outside where Tarver is. Tarver goes to get up but Cena charges and hits a big clothesline. Cena takes the steel steps apart. Cena scoops Tarver up and slams him on the steps to a big pop from the crowd. The crowd chants for one more time and Cena scoops him up and slams Tarver on the steps again. Cena throws Tarver in the ring and the crowd is going nuts. Cena takes out Tarver’s knee and locks the STF on. The e-mail alert goes off. Interesting Tarver never tapped. Cole announces that the GM says if Cena lost last night, he must join Nexus and that is a group that takes directions from Wade Barrett and as a member of Nexus, Cena must also take directions from Barrett. If Cena doesn’t do this, the GM will have no choice but to terminate Cena’s WWE contract. The crowd boo’s big time at this and Cena doesn’t like it either. The GM says that no one man, despite his popularity, is bigger than WWE. The GM says he will fire Cena. Cena kneels in the ring and appears to be in deep thought while the crowd chants his name. Cena exits the ring as the crowd chants “don’t give up.” Cena heads to the back and we go to commercial.


Natalya vs. Alicia Fox


Back from commercial and the bell rings for the next match as Alicia Fox punches Natalya. They go back and forth. Natalya hits a spinning clothesline out of the corner and goes for the Sharpshooter on Alicia. Alicia taps out to give Natalya the quick victory.


Winner: Natalya


– We see replays of Edge beating up the RAW GM’s computer last week. The GM has demanded that Edge issue an apology. Johnny Knoxville will also be coming up next. We go to commercial.


– Back from commercial and Johnny Knoxville is backstage talking to Gail Kim and Melina about the new Jackass 3D movie. Zack Ryder comes walking in. Knoxville goes to high-five Ryder but a big fake hand comes out of nowhere and smacks Ryder to the ground. Knoxville laughs at Ryder.


– We see John Cena backstage. Josh Matthews walks up and says it appears Cena is either Nexus or he’s fired. Cena says this is all he has, he can’t not be in the WWE. Cena takes off running out of nowhere and goes into the Nexus locker room. Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty are in there but walk out. Barrett says he just saw what Cena did to Tarver. Barrett says he has big plans for Cena’s future and we go back to commercial.


Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus


Back from commercial and WWE’s United States Champion Daniel Bryan is already in the ring. Out comes his opponent, Sheamus, for what appears to be a non-title match. The bell rings and Sheamus slams Bryan back into the corner. Sheamus unloads with knees and punches. Sheamus hits a series of shoulder thrusts now and continues to stomp away on Bryan. Sheamus drops a dozen or more knees into Bryan’s head and the referee calls for the bell.


Winner by DQ: Daniel Bryan


– After the bell, Sheamus grabs Bryan and lays him out with the High Cross finisher. Sheamus’ music hits and he heads to the back as the referee checks on Bryan, who is laid out.


– We see Edge walking to the ring before another commercial break.


– Back from commercial and we see a replay of Cena running into Husky and McGillicutty in Nexus’ locker room. We go to the ring and Michael Cole is in it with the General Manager podium. The GM says that after last week, he won’t be communicating any longer with his voice altered. He will only be communicating via e-mail through Cole, who he calls the voice of WWE. We see replays from last week of Edge vs. Cena and Edge destroying the computer. Cole says that was unacceptable. The GM wants Edge to come down and apologize and then he will make a big announcement regarding the WWE Title. Edge is asked to come to the ring.


Edge comes out to the ring and says he’s not apologizing for anything. Edge says he’s on a personal crusade against everything stupid. Edge says there’s a lot of stupid stuff on RAW including the GM and Cole. Edge says he would rather hear a recording of Jim Ross than Cole. Edge says when he becomes WWE Champion, the GM will see some real attitude. The e-mail alert goes off and Cole laughs. Cole says we will determine the next #1 contender tonight and it will be done in a 20 man over-the-top battle royal. The winner will face Randy Orton for the WWE Title at Bragging Rights. The GM says Edge won’t be in the match because he’s been officially traded to SmackDown. The crowd chants spear. Edge says this is one of the greatest nights of his career because he doesn’t have to deal with the GM or Cole anymore. Cole says since he is the voice of WWE, Edge needs to show him respect. Edge threatens Cole and The Miz’s music hits.


The Miz comes out with Alex Riley and heads down to the ring. Miz says Edge won’t hurt Cole. Miz puts over Cole and calls him a visionary, one who saw Miz’s awesomeness before anyone else. Cole leaves the podium and goes back to the announcer’s table. Edge calls Miz an Edge wannabe. Miz says he and Edge are nothing alike and Edge agrees, because he’s been WWE Champion. Edge recalls some other things he’s done that Miz hasn’t and rips on Alex Riley. Riley fires back at Edge and says Miz is the future of WWE. Edge says Miz is awesome… at tapping out to Daniel Bryan. A “you tapped out” chant breaks out. Miz says he’s either going to be competing in a WWE Title match at Bragging Rights or he’s going to be leading his RAW team into beating SmackDown’s team. Miz tells Edge to go to SyFy and tell all his friends that The Miz is awesome. Edge decks Riley and Miz, sending Miz into the podium. Edge spears Riley. Edge stands up and Miz lays him out with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz’s music hits and he heads to the back with Riley.


– We see John Cena backstage with Nexus. Barrett tells Cena he had been thinking of getting rid of Michael Tarver for a while now so Cena did him a favor. So apparently Tarver is out of Nexus. Barrett wants Cena to help him win the battle royal tonight. Cena asks what happens if he wins. Barrett says that won’t happen because he’s ordering Cena to help him. Otunga speaks up and says if Barrett is eliminated, he must help one of them win. Barrett doesn’t like this and tells Cena he does what he says or gets fired. Back to commercial.


The Bella Twins vs. Michelle McCool and Layla


Back from the break and The Bella Twins are in the ring. Out come their opponents, LayCool. Layla and McCool have microphones on and we get to hear them talk through the entire match. It’s one of the Bellas starting things out with McCool. They go back and forth for a few minutes. Layla is commentating while McCool wrestles. Layla comes in and distracts, allowing the Bellas to do their switch at ringside. Michelle gets pinned for the Bellas win.


Winners: The Bella Twins


– After the match, we still get to hear Layla and Michelle yapping. They’re saying that the referee needs to learn how to count.


– We see Maryse taking to Johnny Knoxville backstage. Ted DiBiase walks in and thinks it was Knoxville sending notes to Maryse all along. Knoxville tells Ted not to come closer and before he can warn him, the big hand smacks Ted to the floor. Maryse flips out and starts throwing her shoes at Knoxville. The big hand also slaps Maryse down on top of Ted. Knoxville apologizes and runs away. We go to commercial.


– Back from commercial and we see replays of Ted DiBiase and Maryse vs. Eve Torres and R-Truth from two weeks ago and where the love message popped up on the big screen. Cole teases problems with the Million Dollar Couple. Cole and Lawler lead us into a preview for Jackass 3D.


We go back to the ring and Justin Roberts introduces tonight’s guest star, Johnny Knoxville and out he comes. Knoxville plugs his new movie and acts like he’s in a hurry. Knoxville says goodbye but Ted DiBiase’s music interrupts and out he comes with Maryse. Knoxville tells Ted there’s no hard feelings. Ted gets in Knoxville’s face. Knoxville says he was just trying to make Maryse laugh, like Ted made her laugh the first time she saw him with no pants on. Ted slaps Knoxville and locks on Dream Street. Ted asks if it’s funny now and throws Johnny to the mat. The crowd boo’s. A message comes on the big screen and says, “you are mine.” Goldust appears in the ring behind Ted. Ted turns around and Goldust lays him out. Goldust tells Ted he doesn’t want him. Goldust goes over to Maryse and pets her in the corner. Goldust says he doesn’t want her either. Goldust drops in front of the Million Dollar Title belt and starts caressing it. Goldust says that’s what he wants. Goldust starts rubbing the belt on himself as his music plays. A bit of the Goldust of old here. We go to commercial.


– Back from commercial and we get a Make-A-Wish video featuring WWE Superstars granting wishes for ill children.


– We see John Cena backstage, looking at his Nexus armband. David Otunga walks in and says he knows Cena is upset but Nexus isn’t all bad. Otunga says Barrett can be a bit demanding sometimes but Otunga knows they can make it work. Otunga tells Cena if he ever needs to talk, he’s there for him. Otunga pats Cena on the back and walks off.


– Cole and Lawler talk about Chris Jericho getting punt kicked by Randy Orton last week and we see replays.

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes John Morrison. Out next are R-Truth, Santino Marella, Vladimir Kozlov, Sheamus and John Cena. Cena’s regular theme music hits but he doesn’t come out. The Nexus music hits now and out comes Wade Barrett, David Otunga, Justin Gabriel, Heath Slater and John Cena. Cena is trailing behind everyone and doesn’t look happy. He’s still wearing his purple and yellow shirt but has the Nexus armband on. Nexus faces off with the WWE stars who are already in the ring. We go to commercial before everyone else makes their way out.


Darren Young almost eliminates Kidd but he holds on. Henry goes to throw out Wade Barrett but Cena makes the save. Nexus attacks Henry as Cena watches. Henry is eliminated. Nexus yells at Cena. Cena eliminates Otunga. Barrett has words with Cena now. We go to commercial with Cena and Barrett arguing.


Back from the break and Morrison is going at it with Barrett. Truth goes back and forth between Slater and The Miz. During the break, Barrett eliminated Kozlov and Nexus eliminated Darren Young. Cena guards Barrett as he fights with Morrison. Cena hits Morrison and goes to work on him now. Cena beats down DiBiase now. Sheamus tries to eliminate Slater while Gabriel works over Kidd in the corner. Morrison clotheslines and eliminates Slater. Truth and Morrison try to eliminate Barrett but Cena runs over and makes the save.


Morrison eliminates Kidd with a kick on the apron. Cena continues to guard Barrett while Sheamus works on Gabriel. Miz and Morrison go at it. Miz drops Truth with kicks. Miz tosses Morrison but he hangs on. Morrison eliminates Miz with a nice springboard move. It’s down to Cena, Barrett, Sheamus, Truth, DiBiase, Morrison and Gabriel. Barrett works on Sheamus while Cena fights DiBiase. Cena makes the save as Sheamus almost eliminates Barrett. Cena guards Barrett again. Gabriel almost eliminates himself then Truth kicks him in the face, sending him to the floor. Ted and Truth go at it now. Ted eliminates Truth. Barrett goes to work on Ted now. Morrison attacks Barrett but Cena makes the save again. Wade eliminates DiBiase. It’s Morrison, Sheamus, Cena and Barrett now.


The crowd chants for Cena. Sheamus and Morrison attack Cena. It’s Sheamus working on Cena and Barrett working on Morrison now. Sheamus tries to eliminate Cena. Barrett goes for his finisher on Morrison. Morrison turns it around and goes to the apron. Morrison kicks Barrett in the head but falls off the apron and eliminates himself. Cena hits the running shoulders on Sheamus and the big back drop. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Sheamus. Cena goes for the AA but Sheamus counters and hits the Irish Curse. The crowd chants for Cena again. Sheamus goes for the big kick on Cena and falls on the apron. Cena knocks Sheamus off the apron and eliminates him. It’s down to Cena and Barrett. They stare each other down in the middle of the ring.


Barrett stares at Cena and points to the back. Barrett tells Cena to go. Cena looks around at the crowd. Barrett orders Cena to take a walk. A “let’s go Cena” chant breaks out. Cena gets in Barrett’s face and they have words. Cena gets fired up but backs down a bit. Cena climbs over the top rope and to the apron. Cena stops and stares at Barrett. Cena hesitates but finally steps down on the floor, eliminating himself. Wade Barrett is the new #1 contender.


Winner: Wade Barrett


– After the match, Barrett goes to celebrate but Randy Orton’s music hits and out comes the WWE Champion to the ring. The crowd pops as Orton enters the ring and stares down Barrett. RAW goes off the air with Orton holding the WWE Title belt up in Barrett’s face.

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with a pyro explosion inside the Canseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us to RAW. We go to the ring as Justin Roberts introduces the new WWE Champion Randy Orton. Orton makes his way out to a big pop and he’s all smiles with the belt.


Orton enters the ring and Sheamus comes out to interrupt. Sheamus says he can’t let this happen, Orton doesn’t deserve this moment. Sheamus says he had the WWE Title stolen from him both times he has won it. Sheamus says everyone has discriminated against him. Sheamus says this is pathetic, Orton as the WWE Champion. RKO chants from the crowd. Orton brings up how Sheamus has never beaten him and says the only thing pathetic is him. Orton says Sheamus is right about one thing – he is entitled to a rematch. Orton tells Sheamus to do it soon because if he keeps getting in Orton’s face, it’s not a rematch he gets – it’s a punt to the skull.


Sheamus says nothing Orton does scares or intimidates him. Sheamus tells Orton he will kick his head off. Orton dares him to try. An e-mail from the General Manager comes in. Cole announces that it will be at Hell in a Cell. Sheamus wants Orton to give him the WWE Title. Orton says he would RKO his own grandmother to keep the WWE Title. Then he would RKO Sheamus’ grandmother just to see the look on her face. Orton says if Sheamus wants the belt so bad, take it and he drops it. Sheamus moves and Orton drops him with an RKO. Orton poses for the fans with the belt before heading to the back while Sheamus is face-down in the ring. Orton comes back in the ring and gets ready for a punt kick. Orton charges but Sheamus rolls out of the ring to safety. We go to commercial.


Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes vs. Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella


Back from commercial and The Hart Dynasty is on commentary. Out comes the new WWE Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. Their opponents, Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella, are out next for this non-title match.


The bell rings and it’s Cody and Santino starting things off. Comedy from Santino here. He grabs Cody’s leg. Cody starts stomping on him. Cody tags in Drew for a bit of double teaming. Drew shoves Santino away and wants Kozlov. Vladimir comes in and Drew takes him to the mat. Kozlov arm drags out of the hold. Kozlov takes Drew down now and tags in Santino. Santino with rights on Drew. Drew misses a clothesline and Santino hip tosses him. Santino calls for the cobra but Drew kicks him in the head. 2 count for Drew.


Cody comes in for some more double teaming. Cody beats Santino down in the corner and suplexes him on his face. Cody with a knee drop on Santino. Drew is tagged back in and goes to work on Santino. Another tag to Cody. Santino slides out of a slam and tags in Kozlov. Kozlov charges Drew and knocks him down. Kozlov kicks Drew back into the corner and hits a big powerslam. 2 count by Kozlov. Santino comes in but Cody throws him to the floor. Kozlov drops Cody but turns around to the Futureshock DDT from McIntyre for the win.

- We see John Morrison backstage training as we go to commercial.


- We see Edge and Zack Ryder backstage. Ryder says he and Edge can be friends again, hang out in the clubs and stuff. Edge says they are not friends and he does not want to hang with Ryder. Edge says he should be WWE Champion right now. Edge says he is screwed. Daniel Bryan walks in and asks them to keep it down a little bit, he’s trying to read or something as he has a book in his hand. Edge says Bryan lucked his way into the WWE US Title and now he thinks he can tell people what to do. Ryder tells Bryan to “read this” and puts an L on his forehead. Edge says he wants to hurt someone tonight and he’s picking Bryan for that. Edge challenges Bryan to a match and Bryan accepts. Bryan walks off and Ryder does the L on his forehead. Edge points out that Ryder’s L is backwards.


Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison


We go to the ring and out comes Chris Jericho. Jericho enters the ring and out comes his opponent, John Morrison. The bell rings and Morrison strikes first, taking Jericho to the ropes. Morrison with a right hand and Jericho rolls out to the floor. Morrison comes after him and they run back in the ring. Morrison with a big kick to the face and more right hands to keep in control. Jericho tries to fight back but ends up on the floor. Jericho is frustrated now. Morrison leaps over the top rope and onto Jericho and the floor. We go to commercial.


Back from commercial and Morrison is still in control. Jericho with a cheap shot and an enziguri to the head. Morrison goes down and ends up on the apron. Jericho charges and sends Morrison flying down into the fan barrier. Jericho comes out and slams Morrison onto it again. Morrison comes back to the apron but Jericho suplexes him in the ring. Jericho with a kick to the head and ribs. Jericho with a backdrop and a 2 count. Jericho taunts Morrison now. Morrison responds by knocking Jericho back to the mat. Jericho comes back with a dropkick to the face.


Jericho uses the ropes on Morrison now. Morrison counters a slam attempt with a rollup for 2. Jericho with a big clothesline and a 2 count. Back and forth action here. Morrison kicks Jericho in the face and fires right hands in. Morrison with a flying forearm and a clothesline. Dropkick sends Jerico back into the corner. More rights from Morrison but he runs into Jericho’s boot. Bulldog by Jericho. Jericho goes for the Lionsault but lands on his feet. Jericho locks the Walls of Jericho on now. The hold is broke and they go back and forth with two counts. Jericho goes for the Walls again but Morrison turns it and sends Jericho flying. Knee to the face by Morrison. Morrison hits Starship Pain for the pin and the win.


Winner: John Morrison


- After the match, Morrison leaves and Jericho is left in the ring, looking confused and sad like he did last night. The crowd heckles Jericho before we go to commercial.


- Back from commercial and John Cena is backstage with Josh Matthews. Cena admits he enjoyed seeing Randy Orton win last night because he got to RKO Wade Barrett. Cena gets serious and tells Nexus that he will take them all out, one-by-one. Cena talks about his match with Barrett tonight.


- The Miz comes out tot he stage and says for the record, he did not tap out at Night of Champions. Miz says Daniel Bryan did not beat him. Lots of boo’s from the crowd here. Miz says he woke up yesterday with some kind of ligament injury. Miz says his doctors begged him not to compete but being the true champion that he is, he competed anyway. Miz says he did what none of the fans would have done. Miz said he had to end the match to save himself from potential surgery. Miz says he will regain his US Title because he’s The Miz… and he did not tap out. We go to commercial.


Edge vs. Daniel Bryan


Back from commercial and The Miz is staying at ringside for commentary. Out first for the next match is Edge. Next to the ring is the new WWE United States Champion, Daniel Bryan, for this non-title match. Daniel Bryan comes out to something like his old pre-WWE theme music. Miz and Cole talk a lot of trash about Bryan as he enters the ring and shows off the title. The bell rings and Edge attacks, beating Bryan down in the corner.


Edge continues the assault on Bryan. Edge dumps Bryan out on the floor and the referee starts to count. Edge brings it back in the ring and poses before stomping on Bryan’s head. Bryan fights back with kicks to Edge. Edge drops Bryan again for a 2 count. Bryan fights out of a submission but Edge hits him with a right. Edge runs the ropes and Bryan hits him with a knee to the gut. Bryan flips off the top rope and clothesliens Edge. Bryan goes for the LaBell Lock but Edge counters it. More back and forth until Bryan takes Edge down with a high knee. 2 count.


Bryan leaps off the top rope but Edge kicks him in mid-air. Edge goes for a spear but Bryan catches him with a LaBell Lock attempt. Alex Riley runs down and hops on the apron to distract the referee. Miz comes from behind and drops Bryan’s back over the ropes. Edge gets up and spears Bryan for the pin and the win.


After the match, the e-mail alert goes off and we have a message from the General Manager. Cole says that due to outside interference by The Miz, the referee’s decision is reversed and the winner of the match via DQ is Daniel Bryan.

- Edge is pissed after the announcement. Edge takes a mic and says he is sick of the General Manager and his gimmicks at ringside. Edge says this is not a joke, it’s his career. Edge throws down the mic and walks off, frustrated. Miz and Riley enter the ring and start stomping on Bryan. Miz hits a big running kick to the head and another. The crowd is chanting “you tapped out” to Miz. Riley holds Bryan while Miz works him over. Miz smacks and taunts Bryan now. Riley drops Bryan and Miz kicks him in the head once again. Riley grabs Bryan again and ore slaps and aggressive taunting from Miz. Miz lays Bryan out with the Skull Crushing Finale. Riley and Miz walk off before we go to commercial.


Unified WWE Divas Title Match: Layla vs. Melina


Out next comes Layla and Michelle McCool. Layla is annoucned as the self-professed Divas Unified Title co-holder. Out next comes Layla’s opponent, Melina. McCool joins Cole and Lawler on commentary. She says LayCool are the Champions, holding them together. WWE is using the Divas Title belt now. The bell rings and Melina strikes first, knocking Layla back into the corner. Melina continues to be in control.


Layla comes back and throws Melina out to the floor. Layla comes after her but Melina drops her. Melina turns to McCool and goes after her. McCool jumps into the crowd and yells at Melina. Layla tries to come from behind but Melina stops her and brings it back in the ring. McCool returns to commentary as Melina ducks Layla with the Matrix move. Melina continues the offense on Layla and won’t let up. Melina sets her on the top rope. Layla kicks Melina in the face and hits a modified neckbreaker from the top rope for the win.

- After the match, McCool gets in the ring to celebrate with Layla. Both of them have their own Divas Title belt. We get hype for Cena vs. Barrett later tonight before another commercial break.


- Back from commercial and Wade Barrett is talking with the members of Nexus backstage.


- Josh Matthews is backstage with Chris Jericho. Apparently Jericho has an announcement. Jericho holds up his new DVD and says it’s three discs of the greatest career in WWE. Jericho says this DVD proves he is the best in the world at what he does. Jericho says he got the IP address of Michael Cole’s computer and is close to exposing him to the entire world. Jericho says he is going to blackmail and extort the GM, sabotaging RAW. Jericho says he is going to demand the GM gives him a match against the winner of Sheamus vs. Orton from Hell in a Cell. Randy Orton walks up and challenges Jericho to a match next week. If Jericho wins, he can have a title shot whenever he wants it. Orton says he is sick of hearing Jericho’s voice and seeing his face. Orton says if they fight next week, he can see to it that we don’t see Jericho’s face for a long time. Jericho says he has made a career of beating guys like Orton who underestimate him. Jericho accepts the challenge and walks off.


R-Truth and Eve Torres vs. Ted DiBiase and Maryse


Out for the next match comes R-Truth and Eve Torres. Truth is performing his new theme song. We go to commercial as Truth is performing.


Back from commercial and out comes the team of Maryse and Ted DiBiase to new theme music. Ted and Truth start the match off. Truth does a dance and Ted charges. Truth hits him with right hands, hits a split and a dropkick. Ted tags in Maryse and in comes Eve. Before he exits the ring, Truth does a dance for Maryse. She slaps him. Eve attacks Maryse and they go at it. Maryse slaps Eve away and slams her face into the mat. Maryse uses the ropes on Eve now.


Eve tries to fight back. Maryse misses a kick and Eve takes her down. Maryse with a modified senton and a 2 count as Ted pulled her out of the ring. Truth comes in and knocks Ted to the floor with a clothesline. Truth leaps over the ropes onto Ted and the floor. In the ring, Maryse goes for her DDT but Eve counters it with a swinging neckbreaker for the pin and the win.

- After the match, Maryse and Ted are leaving when a video starts playing with slow music on the big screen. I believe it says “may I have your heart?” but I could be wrong. Maryse asks what’s up with that and they walk off up the ramp.


- We see John Cena and Wade Barrett headed to the ring as we go to commercial.


John Cena vs. Wade Barrett


Out first for tonight’s main event comes John Cena to a big pop. Out next comes Wade Barrett with the other members of Nexus right behind him. Barrett heads to the ring as everyone waits on the stage.


Barrett walks to the announcer’s table and stands on top of it. Barrett announces there’s been a slight change of plans tonight. He heard Cena say earlier he wanted to take out Nexus one-by-one. Barrett says if Cena is a man of his word, he will take Nexus on in a Gauntlet Match. If he can beat the other four Nexus members, then he gets Barrett at the end. Barrett says the alternative is that they all attack him at once right now and kick his teeth down his throat. Cena accepts the Gauntlet challenge and first comes Heath Slater.


Heath Slater vs. John Cena


Slater comes down and Cena attacks first. Cena with a knee to the gut and a powerbomb for a 2 count. Slater fights out of the corner and knocks Cena down. Slater with a running right hand in the corner and a dropkick. 2 count by Slater. Slater with an atomic drop and a neckbreaker for another 2 count. More offense from Slater. Cena connects with the Attitude Adjustment for the pin and the win.

John Cena vs. David Otunga


David Otunga is the next member of Nexus to face Cena. Otunga heads down the ramp as we go to commercial.


Back from commercial and Otunga is working Cena over in the corner with shoulder thrusts. Otunga with a big uppercut and Cena goes down. Barrett is still standing on the announcer’s table at ringside. Otunga with a suplex now. Otunga with another suplex and a 2 count this time. Otunga goes for another but Cena rolls him up with a small package for the pin.

Michael Tarver vs. John Cena


Tarver runs down next while Cena is trying to get up. Tarver works Cena over in the corner with kicks and punches. Tarver continues the beatdown on Cena now as the referee gets him to try and ease up. Cena fights out, drops Tarver and locks on the STF. Tarver taps out.

John Cena vs. Justin Gabriel


Gabriel rushes the ring next and drops Cena with a spin kick. Another kick by Gabriel. Cena gets to his feet but Gabriel hits another series of kicks for a 2 count. Gabriel goes to the apron and hits a nice splash on Cena for another 2 count. Gabriel works Cena over with right hands now. Cena fights back with rights and hits a big dropkick. 2 count by Cena.


Cena goes to the top rope but Gabriel stops him. Gabriel climbs up and goes for a superplex, nailing it. Gabriel with a 2 count on Cena. Gabriel hits a springboard moonsault on Cena for another 2 count. Barrett looks on and is getting a bit worried. Gabriel waits for Cena to get up and goes for a suplex. Cena counters with one of his own. 2 count by Cena. Back and forth action now with right hands. Gabriel drops Cena with a leg sweep and still only gets a 2 count. Gabriel splashes Cena in the corner and he falls. Gabriel goes for a springboard move but Cena ducks it. Cena hits two shoulder blocks and a big back drop. Cena stares at Barrett before hitting the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Gabriel. Cena goes for the AA but drops it when Nexus rushes the ring. Cena fights everyone off. Barrett brings a chair in the ring but Cena tackles him. Cena takes the chair and swings it, sending everyone running.


Nexus retreats up the ramp as Cena stands guard in the ring with the chair. Cena takes the mic and says Barrett owes him. Right now, Cena vs. Barrett, they end it for good. Barrett has a mic and says that’s quite the offer but he doesn’t have anything to gain by laying Cena to waste once more. The crowd boo’s. Barrett says he needs something to sweeten the deal and Cena says name it. Barrett proposes a match with Cena at Hell in a Cell. If Cena loses, he must join Nexus. Cena says he’s not backing down and accepts it. Cena throws in the stipulation that if Barrett loses, Nexus will be no more. The crowd likes this. Barrett accepts the stipulation. Cena’s music plays. RAW goes off the air with Nexus looking down at Cena from the stage while Cena poses for the fans.

JIMMY NEIDHART ARRESTED

Former WWF Tag Team champion (and father of current WWE Diva Natalya) Jim Neidhart was arrested earlier today and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of burglary of an occupied dwelling and one count of grand theft.
Neidhart, 58, was arrested this morning in Thonotosassa, Florida after deputies were alerted to him being loud and yelling as the former Hart Foundation member attempted to open a pill bottle while pumping gas in a gas station parking lot located at 3100 Flethcher Avenue.


Neidhart was argumentative with the authorities, leading to them patting him down and finding 28 methodone tablets and 95 oxycotin pills. Several pill bottles in Neidhart's possession were belonging to neighbors who had recently reported them stolen.


Neidhart, who was listed as a self employed entertainer on his arrest record, is currently being held without bond pending his first appearance before a judge. Due to the Labor Day holiday, he will likely not be seen before Tuesday.


The arrest has already been picked up by the local FOX affiliate in Tampa. The affiliate is reporting that some of the alleged theft victims knew Neidhart but had not given him permission to take their prescription medication.


Nationally, Neidhart was last seen defeating Jay Lethal several months back on a TNA Impact episode. He still occasionally works on the independent scene and makes regular convention appearances

 Tonight’s WWE RAW kicks off as Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. We get hype for tonight’s main event and go to the ring. Out comes WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart to a nice reaction from the crowd.


Bret says hello to the crowd and says he’s been at home for two weeks training in Calgary to get ready for SummerSlam, only to see everything fall apart. Bret says he’s a little disappointed. Bret talks about Edge and Chris Jericho quitting Team WWE. Bret says he vouched for Edge and Jericho to Cena as members of the team. Bret wants Edge and Jericho to come face him right now and see if they can put their team back together.


Out comes Chris Jericho. He tells Bret to impress him, call him the best in the world at what he does and…. Bret tells Jericho to shut him up. Bret says he doesn’t have time for that crap. Bret says this is Jericho’s chance to be a man and change things. Bret says if Nexus wins at SummerSlam, Jericho is only hurting himself by not helping the team. Bret tells Jericho to do the honorable thing and help the team. Jericho says his answer is still no. Jericho says Bret is a phony and a hypocrite, just like everybody else. Jericho says Bret is going to get the worst beating of his career tonight in the main event. Jericho says Bret is frightened and desperate. Jericho says they can’t beat Nexus at SummerSlam without himself and Edge. Jericho says once again in the WWE, Bret Hart is screwed. Out comes Edge. He talks about training with the Harts and being a fan of Bret’s as a kid. Edge goes to strike Bret but Hart catches his leg and goes for the Sharpshooter. Jericho comes in and hits Bret with a thumb to the eye. Edge and Jericho leave but Natalya comes down to the ring crying. She tells Bret something. The camera goes backstage and we see Nexus beating down The Hart Dynasty in their dressing room. Wade Barrett speaks and says this isn’t Bret’s day. Wade says Bret can forget about The Hart Dynasty being Edge and Jericho’s replacements. Bret and Natalya run backstage as we go to commercial.


– Back from the break and everyone is checking on the Harts backstage. Bret walks in pissed. John Cena stops him and tries to calm him down. Cena says he’s got to find out who’s with them and tells Bret to stay with his family. Cena says he’s going to talk to The Great Khali.


The Miz vs. Evan Bourne


We go to the ring and out comes WWE’s United States Champion The Miz with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Out next is his opponent, Evan Bourne.


They lock up and Miz strikes first. Bourne comes back with kicks but gets knocked down to the mat. Miz goes to work with forearm shots now. Miz keeps control of the match and keeps Bourne down. Bourne tries to fight out with kicks but Miz knocks him out of the air. Miz hits the running clothesline in the corner for a 2 count.


Miz applies a chinlock now and holds it. Bourne tries to fight out but Miz stops him. Miz goes for a suplex but Bourne breaks free from it with knees to the head. Bourne with kicks now, sending Miz into the corner. Bourne hits an awesome hurricanrana from behind Miz for a 2 count. Miz changes things with a big clothesline and Bourne goes down. More “Miz is awesome” chants from the crowd. Miz hits the Skull Crashing Finale on Bourne for the pin and the win.

– After the match, Miz takes the mic and says he doesn’t care if Randy Orton or Sheamus is the WWE Champion after SummerSlam, because when he’s ready to cash in and win, he will. Miz says he’s awesome and the crowd says it with him.


– We see John Cena talking with The Great Khali backstage but we can’t hear what they’re saying. Cole and Lawler plug tonight’s tag team main event as we go to commercial.


Melina vs. Alicia Fox


Back from commercial and we get a replay of Melina’s return last week. We go to the ring and out comes Melina for a match. Out next comes the WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox for this non-title match.


The bell rings and Melina goes to lock up. Alicia grabs her and slams her back into the corner. Alicia throws Melina by her hair and kicks her in the gut. Melina ends up on the apron and fights her way back in. Melina with a 2 count. Melina beats Alicia down. Melina ducks with her Matrix move and slams Alicia on her face.


Melina keeps on fighting but Alicia rolls to the floor. Melina comes out after her but gets clotheslined. Melina makes it back in the ring and Alicia covers for not even a 1 count. Alicia slams Melina down by her hair. Alicia hits a backbreaker for a 2 count. Alicia with a chinlock now and knees to the back. Melina fights out but Alicia knocks her back down. Alicia applies a torture rack like move. Melina turns it around into a sunset bomb for the pinfall and the win.

– We go backstage with Josh Matthews and The Great Khali. Ranjin Singh isn’t here to translate tonight. Matthews asks if Khali is with WWE or Nexus. Khali says WWE. Khali grabs the mic and says something we can’t understand. Matthews asks if he can say it in English. Khali says Wade Barrett, it’s you and me tonight. Khali just challenged Barrett to a match and we go back to commercial.


– Back from the break and we get a replay of what happened during the commercial. Per the General Manager, Michael Cole announced that Melina will get a Divas Title shot against Alicia Fox at SummerSlam. Cole also confirms Wade Barrett vs. Khali tonight. They also hype a Divas SummerTime Spectacular with Eve, The Bellas, Maryse, Gail Kim and Jillian in bikinis. Sheamus also will call out Randy Orton tonight.


– We see Edge and Chris Jericho talking backstage. Jericho says Bret might be right about Nexus winning at SummerSlam, since they’re not on the team. Edge says so what, we crawl back to Cena? Jericho says maybe they bit off more than they can chew. Edge says he and Jericho have survived everything in WWE over the years and they will survive whatever Nexus does. Jericho says he and Edge make things happen around here and tonight, they take out Bret Hart and John Cena. Jericho says then there will be no match at SummerSlam and they will be in the clear.


– We go to John Morrison and R-Truth talking. Morrison says they have to hold up their part. They say they have each other’s back. Mark Henry walks up and says he’s got their replacement. Henry says his next match will be his audition.


– The camera cuts to Nexus backstage watching everything on a TV. Everyone walks off except for Wade Barrett. We go to commercial.


Ted DiBiase vs. Mark Henry


Back from commercial and out comes Ted DiBiase with Maryse and his Million Dollar belt. Out next comes Mark Henry. He’s met on the steel steps by Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. David Otunga, Skip Sheffield, Darren Young and Michael Tarver attack Henry from behind. They beat Henry down and throw him into the ring steps before retreating through the crowd. WWE officials check on Henry as we go to replays before commercial.


– Back from commercial and out comes the WWE Champion Sheamus to the ring. Sheamus says after last week’s RAW, the whole WWE Universe thought he was scared to get in the ring with Randy Orton. Sheamus says he was scared… scared of what he might do to Orton. Sheamus says normally when a fella talks like that, he talks out of his arse, but not him. Sheamus says he has been hurting people since he got here and that’s why he’s the WWE Champion.


Sheamus says if anyone thinks Randy Orton will beat him, then watch the following closely. Sheamus leads us into a video package of his WWE career so far.


Sheamus says that footage proves that he’s afraid of nobody in WWE. Sheamus says he has ended careers. He calls out Randy Orton to the ring. Orton’s music hits and interrupts Sheamus. Out comes Orton to the ring.


Orton tells Sheamus that he believes he’s capable of hurting people but Orton says he’s full of it when he says he didn’t get in the ring last week because he was scared of hurting Orton. Orton says Sheamus had an opportunity last week and he blew it, just like he will at SummerSlam. The crowd starts chanting “RKO.” Orton says Sheamus has never beaten him and never will. Sheamus says Orton and everyone else is wrong. Sheamus says Cena and Triple H said the same thing. Orton says he’s not Triple H and he’s certainly not John Cena. Sheamus says Orton isn’t the WWE Champion either, he is. Sheamus says Orton will go back to the end of the line after he wins at SummerSlam and won’t get another title shot. Orton says he’s going to win this Sunday at SummerSlam. Orton tells Sheamus to do something about it and they stare each other down. The e-mail alert goes off and Michael Cole has an announcement from the General Manager.


The GM says that Sheamus’ title matches in the past have been filled with controversy. If anyone interferes at SummerSlam, they will be suspended indefinitely. Also, if Orton loses at SummerSlam, there will be no rematch. The GM says he also agrees with Orton, that if Sheamus isn’t scared, then do something about it right now. Orton and Sheamus stare each other down. Sheamus shakes his head no as the crowd boo’s. Sheamus acts like he’s going to hit Orton and stops. Sheamus goes to leave the ring but Orton attacks him. Sheamus drops Orton with a shot to the head. Sheamus goes for the big kick but Orton ducks and hits a backbreaker. Orton stands over Sheamus and backs up into the corner. Orton goes for the punt kick but stops as he gets to Sheamus. Sheamus backs down in the corner, looking scared. Orton stares at him and rolls out to the floor. Orton’s music hits as he picks up the WWE Title. Orton looks at it and tosses it into the ring to Sheamus. Orton walks off up the ramp with a smirk on his face. We get more main event hype before going to commercial.


Kaval, Percy Watson and Lucky Cannon vs. Michael McGillicutty, Husky Harris and Alex Riley


Back from the break and Sheamus is still at ringside with his belt. The NXT music is playing and we see the two teams in the ring. McGillicutty and Watson start the match off. They go back and forth until Percy hits a forearm for a 2 count. More back and forth until McGillicutty hits a dropkick for a 2 count. Riley is tagged in and he works over Percy in the corner.


We see Sheamus looking pissed at ringside as Riley works over Percy. Percy fights back but Riley pushes him around. Percy with a kick to the head and in comes Kaval. Kaval unloads on Riley with forearms and kicks. Kaval gets dumped to the apron but hangs on and chokes Riley from behind. Kaval with a springboard kick and a 2 count as McGillicutty breaks the pin. Lucky comes in and knocks McGillicutty to the floor. Lucky flies over the top and lands on him. Kaval tries a roll-up and a small stomp on Riley but didn’t see that Husky tagged himself in. Husky lays out Kaval from behind and hits the senton for the pinfall and the win.

– After the match, Sheamus lays out McGillicutty and Cannon at ringside. Sheamus enters the ring as Riley and the other Rookies run, except for Kaval. Sheamus hits the High Cross on Kaval and lays him out. Sheamus grabs a mic and says that was a message to the General Manager. Sheamus guarantees that he will still be WWE Champion next week. His music hits and he walks to the back pissed.


– We see an unhappy looking R-Truth and John Morrison headed to the ring as we go to commercial break.


R-Truth and John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder and William Regal


Back from commercial and out comes R-Truth with his usual entrance. We see William Regal and Zack Ryder already waiting in the ring. Out next comes Truth’s partner, John Morrison. Truth and Regal start the match off. As soon as it starts, Ryder distracts Truth and Regal attacks. Regal beats Truth down and tags in Ryder. Ryder with a neckbreaker and a knee drop. Ryder with a 1 count then a dropkick to the back of the head. Another 1 count.


Ryder with a headlock. Ryder gets up and takes Truth to the corner. Ryder misses a big kick to the head as Truth moves out of the way. Morrison is tagged in and he clotheslines Ryder. Dropkick by Morrison. Another dropkick by Morrison. Morrison hits a nice move and turns it into a 2 count. Regal comes in but Truth throws him out. Morrison drops Ryder and nails Starship Pain for the pinfall and the win.

– Cole and Lawler rundown the SummerSlam card. We see The Bella Twins headed to the ring for the Divas Summer Spectacular as we go to commercial.


WWE Divas Summer Spectacular: The Bellas vs. Eve and Gail Kim vs. Maryse and Jillian


Back from the break and there’s a big beach slide setup over the entrance. There’s a beach looking setup in the ring and Maryse waits with her partner Jillian Hall. Our referees will be Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. Out next come Eve Torres and Gail Kim, sliding down the huge slide. The Bellas are out next, also coming down the slide. Maryse and Eve start the match off. Maryse takes her hat off and puts it in Eve’s face. Eve comes back and mounts Maryse, pulling her hair. Maryse throws Eve into the ropes and one of the Bellas is tagged in. Maryse drops Eve. Bella and Maryse go at it. Jillian traps her in the corner with a towel. The other Bella comes in and Santino makes her leave. Maryse tags in Jillian, who throws Bella by her hair across the ring. Jillian with a big slap and a knee in the back.


Brie breaks out of the hold and tags in her sister Nikki. Nikki with a head scissors take down on Jillian and a dropkick. 2 count by Nikki. Eve comes in and hits a neckbreaker on Nikki. Maryse comes in after Eve. Gail comes in and puts an innertube around Maryse then lays her out. Jillian comes in and puts Gail on her shoulders. Jillian kicks Eve to the floor and throws Gail onto her. The end comes when Nikki flies off the top rope onto Jillian with a crossbody for the win.

– After the match, Santino is raising the hands of the Bellas when Tamina comes out, also in a swimsuit. She stares Santino up and down and he seems uncomfortable. Santino tries to leave but Tamina stops him. Tamina presses herself into Santino and then lets him leave. Tamina slaps Santino on the rear end before he exits the ring. Santino walks off with Kozlov as Tamina smiles at him.


– We go to a SummerSlam Recall with highlights from SummerSlam 1991 with The Mountie vs. Big Bossman in the Jailhouse Match.


– We see The Great Khali headed to the ring. Nexus attacks him from behind and beat him down. They Khali up and run away as he holds his knee. A referee comes over to check on Khali before we cut to commercial.


– Back from commercial and out comes Nexus to the ring. Barrett says he has just been informed that his match with The Great Khali has now been canceled. Barrett says a new chapter in WWE history will be written by Nexus at SummerSlam. He says the balance of power is about to shift on RAW, drastically and permanently. Skip Sheffield says RAW has become their show and Bret Hart will join Mr. McMahon and Ricky Steamboat as their victims. Sheffield tells the other Team RAW members that they’re going to break them mentally to the point they never recover. David Otunga tells everyone in the locker room to think about what they did to The Harts, Khali and Henry. Then think about whether they want to be next. Otunga says you’re either Nexus, or against us.


– We see John Cena and Bret Hart headed to the ring. The Miz stops them. Miz says their team for SummerSlam is in trouble with people quitting and getting hurt. Miz says they need help and he figured it was a matter of time before they came looking for him. Miz says he wants to hear them ask him for help. Bret asks Miz if he’s in or out. Miz wants to hear it from Cena also. Cena asks if he’s in or out. Miz says he will let them know if he’s on the team… on Sunday. Miz walks off. Cena says right now they have to take care of Edge and Chris Jericho.


– We see Nexus, the Lumberjacks for tonight’s main event, standing in the ring as we go to commercial.


Cena comes back with a bulldog and a right hand. Bret decks Edge with a right also. Edge throws Cena to the floor and Nexus starts beating him down. They throw Cena back in and Edge tags in Jericho for a bit of double teaming. Jericho throws Cena right back out to Nexus and the beatdown starts again. They put Cena back in but Jericho throws him right back out.


Nexus forms a huddle as Cena and Bret look on from the ring. Nexus gets on the apron. John Morrison and R-Truth run down, making it 4 on 7. We see Edge and Jericho going up the ramp as Nexus enters the ring. Edge and Jericho go to walk off but hesitate. Edge and Jericho run back down to the ring and join the other RAW stars. The crowd goes nuts as Team RAW and Nexus start brawling in the ring. Barrett is tossed out and he retreats through the crowd, telling everyone else to let’s go. All of Nexus run through the crowd as the RAW stars stand tall in the ring. RAW goes off the air with Cena’s music playing and Nexus looking down at the ring from the crowd. The two teams have a staredown to end the show.

The Usos vs. The Hart Dynasty for the Unified Tag Team Titles is being discussed for WWE’sMoney in the Bank pay-per-view. As noted before, John Cena vs. Sheamus in a steel cage match for the WWE Title is being advertised but hasn’t been announced.

RAW AS ON JUNE 21

 Tonight’s WWE RAW opens with the usual intro video. The pyro goes off inside the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT as Michael Cole welcomes us to RAW. Cole and Jerry Lawler talk about the NXT Rookies interrupting last night’s main event where Sheamus won the WWE Title.

- No Chance starts playing and out comes Vince McMahon to a nice pop from the crowd. Vince makes his way down to the ring like only Vince can do.

Vince takes the mic and welcomes everyone to Monday Night RAW. Vince talks about the Fatal 4 Way main event and Sheamus being WWE Champion. Vince says there’s only one person to blame for that chaos – Bret Hart. Vince says he told Bret about making tough decisions as GM but says Bret made a bad decision when he fired Wade Barrett last week and dismissed the Rookies. Vince says this set off a whole chain of reactions. Vince talks about Bret being thrown in the limousine last week. Vince says that’s no reason for Bret not showing up last night. Vince says Bret didn’t hire further security or anything. Vince blames it all on Bret.

Vince says he has no choice but to relieve Bret of his duties as General Manager. Bret… you’re fired, says Vince. Vince says a new General Manager will be running things now. Vince says this person prefers to remain anonymous. Vince says the new GM will be issuing his instructions via e-mail through the computer at the announcer’s table. Vince tells Cole when he receives an e-mail, he must announce it. A sound goes off and Cole gets an e-mail. Cole reads it and it says that all 7 members of the NXT Season 1 have been officially hired and they will address the WWE Universe tonight. Vince tells everyone to enjoy themselves tonight and goes to walk off when Sheamus’ music hits.

The New WWE Champion makes his way to the ring. Vince introduces him. Sheamus looks irritated. A “you suck” chant breaks out. Sheamus says he’s sorry but this isn’t how he wanted to win the WWE Title. Sheamus says he wanted to win last night on his own but that didn’t happen. Sheamus says he doesn’t deserve the belt and can’t accept it under these conditions. Sheamus goes to hand the belt to Vince but stops and smiles. Sheamus says he will take the belt anyway. He’s laughing now and declares himself the new WWE Champion, no matter how it happened. Sheamus thanks the NXT Rookies for interfering last night and giving him the opportunity that he needed.

Sheamus says he didn’t need the Rookies help and could have won the match on his own. Sheamus says the only statement that was made last night was him winning his second WWE Title. Sheamus continues but is interrupted by John Cena’s music. Cena comes out to a big pop.

Cena rips on Sheamus some. Cena tells Michael Cole to send an e-mail to the anonymous GM and thank him for hiring the NXT Rookies. Cena says it’s only a matter of time before he settles his issue with them. Cena goes back to Sheamus now and reminds him that he gets a rematch. Cena proposes that match happen here tonight on RAW. Sheamus says there will be no WWE Title match tonight. Sheamus tells Vince to ask Cena to leave the ring. They come face to face but Vince gets in the middle. The e-mail sound goes off again. Cole has another e-mail from the GM. The e-mail says that Sheamus will defend the WWE Title tonight in the main event against John Cena. Vince hypes the match and Cole gets another e-mail. This one says that a special guest referee has been named for the match to stop any outside interference… the referee will be Vince McMahon. Vince’s music hits and everyone is in the ring as we go to commercial.

Evan Bourne vs. Chris Jericho

Back from commercial and out comes Evan Bourne to the ring. Out next is his opponent, Chris Jericho, for a rematch from Fatal 4 Way. Jericho takes the mic and says he asked for this rematch tonight to make a statement to Bourne and all the parasites watching. Jericho says if he doesn’t win tonight, he’s going to walk out of WWE forever.

The bell rings and they go at it. Jericho takes Bourne to the corner and beats him down. Bourne counters with a quick 2 count. Bourne with another roll-up for 2. Bourne misses a spin kick and Jericho retreats out to the floor. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Jericho has Bourne in a submission on the mat. Bourne breaks free and gets another 2 count on Jericho. Jericho with a dropkick and another that sends Bourne outside to the floor. Bourne finally makes it back in at the 9 count. Jericho mounts him with right hands. Jericho goes for a suplex but Bourne counters and rolls him up for another 2 count. Bourne fights back with kicks and knocks Jericho down with a spin kick. Bourne with a clothesline in the corner and a kick to the face for 2.

Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho. Bourne rolls out of it and turns it into a tornado DDT for a 2 count. Jericho with a backbreaker and a 2 count. Jericho hits another backbreaker and this time bends Bourne over his knee. Bourne fights out of it with knees to the head. Bourne runs into an elbow in the corner. Jericho goes up top but Bourne brings him down with a hurricanrana. 2 count by Bourne. Bourne hits the double knees. Jericho rolls out of it and applies the Walls of Jericho. Bourne finally makes it to the ropes and breaks the hold. Bourne kicks Jericho in the head and he goes down. Bourne goes up top to hit Air Bourne. Jericho puts his knees up and Bourne lands hard. Jericho hits the Codebreaker for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: Chris Jericho

- After the match, Jericho helps Bourne to his feet, looking like he’s going to help him. Jericho shoves Bourne to the mat and walks off smirking as the crowd boo’s.

- We get graphics for the NXT Rookies appearing tonight and Sheamus vs. John Cena with Vince McMahon as special referee. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and Vince is in his office on the phone. He’s talking about the crowd liking the main event tonight. Vince tells the other person on the phone he gave them full authority but don’t surprise him again, talking about the special referee gig.

- We go to Ted DiBiase and Virgil backstage. Ted wanted to talk with Virgil. Ted apologizes for his actions last week. Ted says he’s sorry. Ted says that Virgil’s services won’t be needed any longer. Ted says he’s upgraded… in walks Maryse. Ted says he’s found someone who appreciates the power of money. Virgil asks what Ted is going to do for protection… Ted says go to the drug store. Ted tells Virgil he’s fired. They come face to face and Virgil walks off. Maryse poses with Ted to end the segment.

- We go backstage with Josh Matthews and The Hart Dynasty. He asks them about Vince’s announcement firing Bret Hart as General Manager. Natalya says Bret has been rail-roaded out of WWE again. Natalya says the Rookies shouldn’t be given contracts. Tyson talks some. Natalya says as Bret’s family, they’re going to have to do something. David Hart Smith says they’re going to carry on the Hart name. Natalya says she’s dedicating her match to Bret and “these Harts won’t stop beating.”

- We go outside in the parking lot. A stretch SUV limousine pulls up and stops. We go to commercial.

Sheffield tries to get the fans to repeat his catchphrase but they just keep booing. Michael Tarver takes the mic next. He apologizes to all of his children for what he’s done on TV. Wade Barrett takes the mic next and says the Rookies behind him did what he had to do. Barrett says he had a job with WWE and a title shot, so why would he align himself with the Rookies? Barrett says it’s about loyalty. He says they decided a long time ago they would have fun on NXT but stick together at the end and make sure each other had contracts. The crowd chants “you suck” to Barrett and the Rookies. Barrett says the Rookies have formed a “nexus”, a bond that will never be broken. Barrett announces his job with WWE and his title shot have been reinstated. Barrett talks about Sheamus now and cuts a brief promo on him. Barrett says any time he wants, he can take Sheamus’ title from him. Barrett says if it’s him or Cena, Sheamus will lose his title. Barrett says it doesn’t matter who he has to beat, he will become WWE Champion and make no apologies. A new theme song plays and it looks like it’s the theme song for The Nexus.

- Cole plugs the WWE Title match again and we go back to commercial.

John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder

Back from commercial and out comes John Morrison. Morrison is accompanied by his NXT Rookie Eli Cottonwood. Out next comes Ted DiBiase, with Maryse on his arm. Ted stops on the stage with a mic. Ted says they had a match scheduled tonight but he has better things to do. Ted says he found a suitable opponent for John Morrison. Out comes Zack Ryder, accompanied by his Rookie Titus O’Neill.

The bell rings and they go to the corner. Ryder drops Morrison with a right hand and goes to work. Morrison takes control now and throws Ryder in the corner. Morrison goes for a springboard kick but Ryder knocks him off the ropes. Ryder works over Morrison in the corner now. Ryder with a 2 count. Ryder applies a headlock now. More offense by Ryder here and another 2 count. Morrison fights out of a submission and kicks Ryder in the head. 2 count by Morrison. Morrison drops Ryder with right hands and a kick to the face. Another 2 count. Morrison counters a move and drops Ryder on his head. Morrison goes for Starship Pain and hits it for the pinfall and the win.

Winner: John Morrison

- Josh Matthews catches up with John Cena backstage and asks about the NXT Rookies. Cena talks about how they said it’s nothing personal and talked about loyalty. Cena says his loyalty lies with the WWE Universe. Cena says they made him a target and now he’s got to settle it. Cena says apology not accepted. Cena says he is worried about getting the WWE Title back now. Vince McMahon appears and says tonight, Cena or Sheamus will have no excuses. Vince says it’s his job to ensure that the best man wins. Vince wishes Cena good luck and Cena walks off. We go to commercial.

Eve and The Great Khali vs. Alicia Fox and Primo

Back from the commercial and out comes the team of Eve Torres and The Great Khali. Out next comes their opponents, Primo and WWE Divas Champion Alicia Fox. We get a replay of Superstars where Khali laid out Primo. Khali and Primo start the match off. Primo tags right out to Alicia because he’s scared. Alicia comes in as does Eve. Alicia pushes Eve and taunts her. Eve responds with kicks and a takedown.

They get to their feet and go at it. Eve with a clothesline and a 2 count. Eve runs the ropes and dropkicks Alicia. Alicia trips Eve’s face into the ropes and covers her for a 2 count. Alicia slams Eve’s head into the mat and kicks her in the mouth. Eve gets up and fights back but Alicia drops her with a knee to the jaw. Alicia throws Eve back into the corner. Eve fights her off and kicks her in the head. Eve goes to the top rope and hits a moonsault. Primo comes in to distract everyone from the pin. Alicia rolls to the floor. Primo asks Eve for a kiss and she slaps him. Eve tags in Khali. Primo tries to fight Khali as Alicia walks off up the ramp. Khali hits Primo with big chops and the Khali Plunge for the win.

- After the match, Eve and Khali dance to his music.

- We see Randy Orton backstage heading to the ring. Lawler says he has asked for time to speak. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and out comes Randy Orton to a big pop. Orton says if the Rookies want to interfere in his match, fine. Orton says it’s only a matter of time before he punts each one of them in the skull. Orton says he accepts Barrett’s apology and hopes he becomes the next WWE Champion. Orton says he will be the man who takes the WWE Title from Barrett. The Miz’s music hits and out comes WWE’s United States Champion.

Miz says he hears voices in his head also and they say he’s sick of seeing Orton in the main event, sick of seeing him on TV every week and sick of him RKO’ing people. Miz says Orton has never held the WWE US Title and the WWE Title at the same time. The Miz says the next WWE Title match is his, not Orton’s. The Miz keeps talking and kicks Orton out of nowhere. Orton comes back and drops Miz. He gets ready for an RKO but Miz rolls out of the ring. Orton turns around as Edge rushes the ring. Edge drops Orton with a spear. Edge crawls in Orton’s face with a mic and says “now the real fun begins Randy.” Edge’s music hits and he leaves the ring with Orton on the mat. Edge walks up the ramp, staring down at Orton.

- Lawler plugs tonigiht’s main event again and we go to commercial.

WWE Title Match: John Cena vs. Sheamus

Back from commercial and out comes Vince McMahon, wearing his referee shirt. John Cena is out next to a big pop and finally, the WWE Champion Sheamus makes his way to the ring. They do formal ring introductions and here we go. Cena goes to Sheamus first and takes him to the ropes. Sheamus strikes with a kick to the gut and beats Cena back into the corner. Sheamus continues stomping Cena down to the mat. Sheamus drops Cena again for a 2 count.

Sheamus continues knocking Cena around the ring and throws him hard into the corner. 2 count for Sheamus. More offense by Sheamus and another 2 count. Dueling “let’s go Cena” and “Cena sucks” chants here. Sheamus throws Cena over the top rope and to the floor. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Cena is trying to fight back but Sheamus tosses him into the ring post. Vince isn’t actually the referee here. Another referee is in the ring and Vince is on the outside as an enforcer. Sheamus drops Cena again for a 2 count. Sheamus drops Cena on the apron now with a big shot to the chest. Sheamus hits the same move again on the apron. More dueling chants from the crowd. Sheamus goes for the same move again but this time Cena powers back. Cena fights his way back in the ring and they both clothesline each other and go down.

Sheamus tries for consecutive pin attempts. Sheamus goes for the big boot and Cena dodges it. Cena hits the forearms and the big back drop. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Sheamus blocks it with the Irish Curse backbreaker. 2 count by Sheamus. Cena locks the STF on in the middle of the ring. Sheamus makes it to the ropes and breaks the hold. Sheamus goes to the floor after Sheamus and gets thrown into the steel steps. Sheamus brings it back in the ring and covers Cena for a 2 count.

Sheamus goes back to the floor and sets the steel steps in front of the ring on the walk way. Sheamus brings Cena back out to the floor. Sheamus throws Cena face first into the steps. Sheamus brings Cena back to the ring and nails the big boot to the face. The NXT Rookies rush the ring and Sheamus runs off through the crowd. The Rookies start tearing up ringside again as Vince looks on. They throw Cena over the announce table and flip the table over on him. All of this in front of Vince.

Vince McMahon walks in the ring with a mic. He tells them to leave Cena alone and stop it. Vince asks if Cena is still breathing on the other side of the table. Vince tells the Rookies to come in the ring. Vince says to take a look at these extraordinary athletes. Vince says he can take partial responsibility for the Rookies actions against WWE. Vince asks for a round of applause for himself. Vince says next week, the General Manager will reveal something. Vince turns around and all of the Rookies are staring at him. Vince stops and looks scared. Vince starts laughing as do the Rookies. Vince says they had him going. The Rookies stop laughing and stare Vince down again. A “Daniel Bryan” chant breaks out. The Rookies circle Vince as he begins to talk again. Vince just looks around at all of them. The Rookies finally attack Vince and beat him down. Vince tries escaping the ring but they pull him back. They throw Vince into a clothesline from Skip Sheffield. Wade Barrett hits his finisher on Vince, slamming him hard to the mat. Justin Gabriel goes to the top and hits the 450 on Vince. Barrett leaves the ring and the rest of the Rookies follow. A WWE crew member comes in the ring and says to bring help down. RAW goes off the air with Vince McMahon laid out in the ring.
