UPDATED CARD FOR MONEY IN THE BANK 2011 PPV

After last night’s SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Title match between Christian and Randy Orton at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view still isn’t official since Sheamus broke up the contract signing. WWE’s website is teasing that there may not even be a World Title match at Money in the Bank and speculation is that Sheamus may be added to the match.

WWE did reveal the Money in the Bank competitors for the blue brand to be Sin Cara, Daniel Bryan, Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, Kane, Wade Barrett, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel.

Here’s the updated card:

If Punk wins, Cena is fired.

JOHN CENA COMMENTS ON CM PUNK, MONEY IN THE BANK

In a new article to promote WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view in The Chicago Tribune, the author notes that he requested an interview with CM Punk for the piece but WWE denied the request and suggested he speak to another Superstar – John Cena. WWE is continuing the storyline through mainstream media as Cena commented on what’s going on with Punk.

He said:

“From what I understand, he’s suspended, but I think the match will happen. (Punk) reached an agreement to not talk badly about WWE. Technically, it’s two weeks before Money in the Bank, so he’s still got two weeks to screw it up for himself.”

“WWE has a lot of events, but rarely do you see something this controversial and hostile. I think people will talk about Money in the Bank for years to come. It will be a great moment for Chicago. A guy like CM Punk on live TV, you don’t know what he’ll do. I’m prepared for anything. It’s weird. Usually when a guy retires, we give them one last hoorah. But after what happened Monday, I don’t know. You have to wait and see. There are two more weeks. I’m interested and excited about all this, even if some of it came at my expense.”

NEW TWIST IN JINDER MAHAL AND KHALI ANGLE

WWE added a new twist to The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal’s storyline on last night’s SmackDown when Ranjin Singh revealed that Mahal is the brother-in-law of Khali and Singh.

PROMOTIONAL POSTER AND SYNOPSIS OF SUMMERSLAM 2011

Below is the new promotional poster and synopsis for WWE’s SummerSlam pay-per-view, which takes place on August 14th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California:

“With superior abilities and infinite power, the superpowers of the WWE Universe descend on Los Angeles for a collision so monumental, it threatens to lay waste to the City of Angels. Don’t miss John Cena, Randy Orton, The Miz, Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, and all your favorite WWE Superstars at SummerSlam, live on pay-per-view.”

SIN CARA LOSES HIS UNDEFEATED STREAK

On last night’s SmackDown, Sin Cara lost his first match since debuting with WWE earlier this year. Cara faced off against Christian and lost after getting hit by a spear. He had picked up 14 straight TV/pay-per-view wins before losing this week.
