LOOSER LEAVES WWE FOR JOHN CENA VS BATISTA AT OVER THE LIMIT

The talk within WWE is that the stipulation for John Cena vs. Batista at Over the Limit may be Loser Leaves WWE, depending on if Batista is really about to leave WWE or not. Word is that WWE creative was told in the last few days about TNA doing a similar stipulation with Tara on their pay-per-view. When this was brought up to creative, there was talk of possibly changing the stipulation from Loser Leaves WWE.

MELINA TO RETURN ON LATE JUNE/JULY

 Melina noted on Twitter that her physical therapy is going well but she doesn’t know how much longer she will be out of the ring. Her trainers feel it should take 3-4 more months to fully heal but her doctor has said she could return in late June or July.

WWE PUBLISHED EXPERIENCE WITH GUEST HOSTS, STEPH/HHH COMMENTS

 The New York Times ran a big article this weekend on WWE and their celebrity guest host program with quotes from some of the past hosts and WWE stars.
In the article, Triple H talked about WWE’s PG product. “I’ve got young kids,” he said. “Years ago, we were what we were, and I certainly wouldn’t want to have my young kids watch that product. We’ve evolved.”
After SNL and MacGruber star Will Forte compared WWE to SNL, Stephanie McMahon made a reference to SNL’s creator Lorne Michaels and her father Vince. “Vince would hate that I said this,” she said. “But he and Lorne Michaels are a lot alike. They both have a clear vision, and they both know exactly how they want you to execute it.”
The article also mentioned the previous report about astronaut Buzz Aldrin hosting RAW on May 17th.

KHALI GOING TO OPEN HIS WRESTLING SCHOOL FOR INDIANS

DNAIndia.com had an article this weekend noting that The Great Khali is planning on wrestling for another 6-7 years. The article also talked about Khali wanting to build a wrestling school in his country to train wrestlers in WWE’s style of wrestling.

WWE CONTACTING JORDAN'S REPRESENTIVES

As noted before, WWE has contacted Michael Jordan’s representatives about hosting a future episode of RAW. As of last week, Jordan’s people still hadn’t got back to WWE. It’s worth noting that the June 14th episode of RAW takes place at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC, where Jordan’s Charlotte Bobcats play

VICKIE GURRERO TALKS ON NEW SUPERSTARS LIKE DOS CARAS

Mediotempo out of Mexico has a new interview up with Vickie Guerrero where she talks about now being an important time for Latinos in WWE. Vickie put over Dos Caras Jr., saying that he has a promising future in WWE. The article also noted that Vickie wants to revive the Guerrero family and talked about Chavo Guerrero being with her on SmackDown now

KHALI CAUSED RIOT IN INDIA

News outlets in India are reporting that The Great Khali missed an appearance at Tau Devi Lal Stadium on Sunday because of a contractual obligation with a sports channel and because of this missed appearance, the fans who were waiting for him caused a riot where women and children were “running for their lives.”
“We had clarified verbally to the organizers about 10 days back that Khali would not be able to attend the event and we also had returned them the money,” said Amit Swami, a spokesman for The Great Khali. Apparently the promoters still advertised Khali as appearing.

TERRY FUNK TALKS ABOUT WWE HALL OF FAME

WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk had the following to say about WWE’s Hall in a new interview this weekend with Slam Wrestling:
“The WWE Hall of Fame was a wonderful moment. There are a great bunch of guys in it. I’m not trying to run anybody down, but it’s about what turns the turnstiles is what it’s become. Really, if one person doesn’t want you in, you’re not in. Is that really a true Hall of Fame?”

NEWS UPDATE ON TONIGHTS RAW

 Pittsburgh Penguins fans will not be able to hold a NHL Playoff Game 6 viewing party outside of the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, PA tomorrow night because of WWE’s Monday Night RAW taking place at the arena. Tomorrow’s RAW will be the final wrestling event at the Mellon Arena before it’s torn down. WWE will be releasing a commemorative t-shirt for the arena and it’s fans at the show tomorrow night.

TRIPLE H TALKS ON HBK

Triple H was interviewed this weekend by Newsday’s Kidsday section and said the one person he would want to wrestle again if he had the choice would be Shawn Michaels. Triple H also said his wrestling idol was Ric Flair.
