REY MYSTERIO WILL BE MISSING MEXICO RAW
Rey Mysterio tweeted on Thursday that he will not be traveling to Mexico next week’s for WWE’s upcoming tour of Mexico, which will include the first-ever RAW television taping from Mexico.
Mysterio, who recently underwent two knee surgeries, wrote (translated):
“Recovery is slow but effective, I am sorry that I will not be with you in Mexico for the recording of Raw.”

Rey Mysterio wrote on Twitter that his surgery went well yesterday:

EDGE ADVERTISED FOR WWE HELL IN A CELL
The official website of the New Orleans Arena is advertising Edge for next month’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event taking place October 2: “Witness the Superstars of both Raw and Smackdown live under the same roof for a PPV extravaganza live event featuring: John Cena, Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Edge, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, The Big Show and many more Superstars live!”
WWE paid tribute to the “Rated-R Superstar” following last night’s SmackDown taping in Toronto, Ontario with “Edge Appreciation Night.” He also hosted “The Cutting Edge” with World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton and Mark Henry during the taped show. He is also advertised for next Tuesday’s SmackDown taping in Dayton, Ohio.

INJURY UPDATE FOR REY MYSTERIO
During a commercial break during the Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio WWE Title match on Monday’s RAW, Rey was limping around the ring while Del Rio worked the crowd. Fans in attendance note that Rey’s knee was clearly hurting. Rey was trying to move his knee around and talked with a WWE crew member at ringside. To fans in attendance, it looked as if Rey was seeing if he could continue. They came back from commercial and WWE ended up doing the injury angle with Rey after Del Rio won the match.
After RAW, while John Cena and CM Punk were ending the show with Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez, Mysterio was getting looked at by WWE trainers at ringside. Trainers looked at Rey for over 5 minutes as Cena and Punk closed the show, according to a fan in attendance. Rey was finally helped to the back by a WWE trainer and a referee.

WHY MIZ VS REY MYSTERIO CHANGED TO SIX MAN TAG MATCH
Up until yesterday afternoon, Rey Mysterio was scheduled to face The Miz in singles action at SummerSlam. The decision was made to put them both in the six-man match with Alberto Del Rio, R-Truth, Kofi Kingston and John Morrison because they want to risk Rey doing further damage to his knee in a singles match. Rey is scheduled to face Del Rio for the WWE Title on tonight's RAW.

REY MYSTERIO GOING FOR MRI
Rey Mysterio had an MRI done over the weekend but as of yesterday, did not have the results back. Rey is reportedly very worried as it’s the same knee that he has had several surgeries on. We should know more later this week.
