SUMMERSLAM PLANS FOR TRIPLE H AND UNDERTAKER

The current plan for Summerslam is to build the pay-per-view around the returns of Triple H and The Undertaker.

According to Spoilers, Triple H is most likely going to face Sheamus, while the Undertaker is probably going to face Kane (again). The Undertaker vs Kane match has been rumored for a long time is always schedule to change since WWE is taking some flack for overusing the Undertaker/Kane angle. SMACKDOWN SPOILER 7/9

*The show opened with Drew McIntyre coming to the ring. Before he could begin speaking, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long came out and walked to the ring. McIntyre announced that the issues with his visa have been resolved. McIntyre then stated that during his flight back home to Scotland, he came to the realization that he has wronged Teddy Long and that it’s never too late to say “I’m sorry”. Long called McIntyre a liar and said that there would be no more special privileges for McIntyre from Vince McMahon. Drew then told Teddy that he is nominating him for next year’s WWE Hall of Fame. He said that Teddy can get his ring if he gives Drew the chance to headline WrestleMania 27 in Atlanta. Teddy then told Drew that that could very well happen if he wins the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match. He then said that Drew would be able to participate in the match if he gets on his knees and begs for it. A video then played on the Titantron from three weeks ago when Drew forced Teddy to get on his knees to do the exact same thing, to which the crowd began chanting “on your knees” to Drew. Drew then got down on his knees and said that Teddy was high class, handsome, and intelligent. Drew also said that he feels honored and privileged to have Teddy as his boss. Teddy then said that the only way Drew would get to compete in the match at WWE Money in the Bank is if Drew can defeat Kofi Kingston in a match tonight

*Backstage, Rey Mysterio was being evaluated by a doctor due to what happened between him and Jack Swagger last week. The doctor says that there is a grade 2 or 3 ligament tear in Rey’s ankle, and Mysterio said he is in a lot of pain. Swagger then bursts into the room and puts the ankle lock on Mysterio, proceeding to drag him down the hallway with the submission still locked in. Swagger then slung Mysterio into the concrete wall before putting the ankle lock back on him again, this time dragging him out to the arena. Big Show then came out to chase Swagger off before carrying Mysterio back to the backstage area

*Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins defeated Christian and Matt Hardy in a tag team match. During the match, Hardy tried to tag in Christian, but Christian pulled Hardy over the top rope. Christian then walked out on the match

*CM Punk and Luke Gallows came down to the ring, and Gallows called out Serena. Serena came to the ring and told Punk and Gallows that it has been the hardest week of her life and that Punk means everything to her. Serena then said all she is good at doing is making mistakes, and that’s exactly what she did last week, but that she only did it to save and protect Punk from Kane. Serena pleaded for forgiveness, but Gallows told her that she is more addicted to attention than she is to alcohol, and that she should walk away and never turn back. Punk intervenes and says that this isn’t a decision that can be made by Gallows, then says that he forgives Serena. Gallows then left the ring as Serena promises to never disappoint Punk again. Punk tells her she had better not, and the two embrace as Gallows looks on from the ramp, apparently disgusted

*”Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated JTG

*Kelly Kelly is then interviewed backstage, and it is announced that she will face Layla at WWE Money in the Bank for the WWE Women’s Championship. Layla then interrupted the interview and said the only way Kelly would ever win is if Layla passed out from her smell. Kelly slapped her, causing Michelle McCool to intervene. McCool and Layla then proceeded to beat down Kelly

*Big Show is backstage now, being interviewed by Josh Mathews. Show said that he has never felt as much pain as he felt in Jack Swagger’s ankle lock. Show also stated that Rey Mysterio is really suffering right now, and he knows how Mysterio feels. Show says he is 100% now and that he would put fear in Swagger tonight and make HIM suffer

*In the main event, Big Show vs. Jack Swagger ended in a double countout. The two fought to the top of the ramp all the way to the backstage area. Out of nowhere, Kane appeared and grabbed Swagger, dragging him to a room backstage. Kane accused Swagger of being the one who injured The Undertaker. Swagger denied Kane’s accusation and said that he has an alibi that will be revealed next week. Kane told Swagger that if there is any doubt, then Swagger will be condemned to hell. This ended this week’s show.
