IDEAS FOR NXT

While WWE revealed a few more details regarding the format of NXT on last night’s show, they have still yet to make an official mention of what the winner of season one receives.
There have been several ideas thrown around such as the first place guy getting a RAW deal and the second place guy getting a SmackDown spot but that idea didn’t come across too well. There is talk also of having something along the lines of two winners, putting them on each brand as a way of not burying one of the brands.

UPDATE ON MARIA'S DEPARTURE

Maria’s departure from WWE came after the two sides could not agree on control over her career. Maria said that WWE also wanted her to sign on to some things she wasn’t interested in. She is confirmed for the next WWE video game so she will still get royalty checks from the game. What’s interesting about Maria’s release is that her 90-day non-compete clause will end right around the finale for Celebrity Apprentice, meaning she could go right to TNA TV if she wins the show.

DIVA UPDATE ON WRESTLEMANIA, LINDA VINCE BUYING PLOTS, NXT UPDATES

The Divas will likely be represented at WrestleMania this year in a tag match or multi-Diva match rather than a title match, largely as a way to get as many of them on the show for the WrestleMania payday.

The Stamford Advocate notes that Vince and Linda McMahon purchased a 3,900 square foot penthouse duplex at Trump Park in Stamford, CT last October and paid $4.1 million for the property. A WWE spokesman told the paper that the McMahons have no intentions of leaving Greenwich to live in the new penthouse.

It was announced on tonight’s WWE NXT that the talents will progress through the season by having the WWE Pros vote on and evaluate the Rookies. The Pros can’t vote for their own Rookies.
