SURVIVOR SERIES MATCH IS A WASTE OF TIME- BRET HART

WWE Hall Of Famer Bret Hart recently spoke with Arda Ocal of The Score to promote his upcoming DVD with Shawn Michaels. Below are some highlights from the interview.

– On the 8-man Survivor Series elimination matches: “In truth I never liked the Survivor Series format, I thought it was a waste of time.” Hart added that he prefers the King of the Ring.

– On his time in WCW: “Where would I rank my time in WCW? Right in the toilet. It was a waste of time. There were so few highlights.”

– On Earl Hebner and his involvement in the Montreal Screwjob: “I don’t have any hard feelings towards Earl, but if I was in his shoes I wouldn’t have done what they did.”

Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez in the ring. Del Rio isn’t happy with the Canadian fans booing him. Del Rio says everyone made fun of him last week when Cena hit him with an Attitude Adjustment. Del Rio says he is the undisputed WWE Champion and no one makes him of him. The crowd boo’s. Del Rio talks about taking out Rey Mysterio and takes credit for Edge having to retire. Del Rio says he beat CM Punk and will beat Cena at Night of Champions so the people better stop making fun of him. Del Rio declares himself champion again and the greatest of the great. Bret Hart’s music hits and out comes The Hitman to a big pop from the crowd.

The crowd roars as Bret enters the ring. Bret says he didn’t come to disrespect Del Rio, he came to give him some good advice, a little education. Bret says when he looks at Del Rio, he sees a man who doesn’t know what it means to be a world champion. Del Rio goes to threaten Bret but Bret cuts him off. Bret says Del Rio is all style and no substance. He says Bret needs to become a real champion, a man with pride who faces all challenges and wrestles in day in, day out. Del Rio says Bret looks like a bum, a homeless person with his 1994 jacket and his greasy hair, his pathetic shirts. Del Rio says Bret looks like one of those illegal Canadians he hires to clean his house. Del Rio says he is the best there is, not Bret. He is the WWE Champion and tonight, he will make an example out of Bret.

John Cena’s music hits and out he comes to a nice reaction from the crowd. Cena puts Del Rio down and says he runs like a coward. Cena tells Del Rio to hop back in his Ferrari and be gone because he is the WWE Champion… for just 6 more days. They both want to fight tonight it seems. But Del Rio puts Ricardo Rodriguez up and says it’s the match everyone wants to see. Cena hit Del Rio a few weeks ago and tonight, Ricardo wants to make him pay. Ricardo isn’t acting like he does though. Cena runs Del Rio down some more and proposes that Del Rio put the WWE Title on the line against Bret Hart tonight. The crowd chants for Bret. John Laurinaitis appears on the stage and Cena mocks him. Laurinaitis introduces himself and gets boo’d. On behalf of Triple H, he says, they’re going to give everyone what they want to see – a tag team match. Del Rio and Rodriguez vs. Cena and Hart tonight. Cena says that’s the first good decision Laurinaitis has made in his life as Del Rio and Rodriguez leave the ring and head to the back.

- Jim Ross, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler plug tonight’s show and the Final Face-Off between CM Punk and Triple H tonight. Also, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton will take on Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes. We go to commercial.

Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison and Alex Riley

Back from the break and Jack Swagger is in the ring with WWE United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Alex Riley as John Morrison makes his way out. Ziggler and Morrison start things off. Ziggler takes control early but Morrison turns it around and catapults Ziggler into the corner face first. Mprrison hits a springboard kick for a 2 count. Morrison charges in the corner but Ziggler moves and he hits the ringpost. Ziggler stomps away on Morrison and hits a neckbreaker. 2 count for Ziggler.

Ziggler drops a big elbow for another 2 count. Swagger wants to tag but Ziggler won’t. Morrison kicks Ziggler to the mat and Swagger tags himself in. Riley also is tagged in and unloads on Swagger, hitting a spinebuster. Riley dumps Dolph out to the floor and slams Swagger down for a close 2 count. Riley goes for a move but Swagger counters and applies the ankle lock. Riley rolls out of it and pushes Swagger into Dolph, knocking him off the apron. Riley hits his finisher on Swagger for the pin as Dolph watches him lose just a few feet away.

Winners: Alex Riley and John Morrison

- After the match, Dolph and Vickie Guerrero argue at ringside. Dolph says they don’t need Swagger and calls him a loser. Dolph yells at Swagger from the stage while Swagger recovers in the ring, all while Vickie is in his face yelling.

- Josh Matthews is backstage with R-Truth and The Miz. Matthews points out Triple H is giving them a title shot at Night Champions, despite their claims of a conspiracy. He asks if their feelings on Triple H have changed. Miz snatches the mic and walks with R-Truth, talking. He says all anyone is talking about tonight is the Face-Off. Miz says if CM Punk really wanted to tell the truth, he would change his name to BS. R-Truth says he feels like Triple H has made a good decision. Miz asks, really? Truth says ninja please, he’s just messing around. Truth wants Triple H to lose on Sunday so he’s out as COO. Truth walks with Miz to the ring and says they’re going to show people the real truth. Truth and Miz come walking out to the stage.

Truth rambles on about Triple H as they head to the ring. He says they should be in the main event of every WWE pay-per-view. They’re going to prove that at Night of Champions and right now. Miz says the truth is that Air Bourne is going to get got at Night of Champions and Truth says that’s awesome. Miz vs. Kofi Kingston is up next as we go to commercial.

The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston

Back from the break and out come the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne – Air Boom. Miz and Kofi go to lock up but Miz kicks him and beats him into the corner and down to the mat as the referee tells him to back off. Miz hits a suplex and covers for a 1 count. They run the ropes several times and it ends with both men out on the floor. Truth helps Miz up while Bourne helps Kofi as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Miz has Kofi in a headlock. Miz drops Kofi with a DDT for a 2 count. Miz works Kofi over in the corner. Kofi turns it around coming out of the corner and hits a stomp on Miz. Kofi fights back with kicks and right hands, followed by chops and a dropkick. They trade counters and Kofi kicks Miz in the face. Kofi hits a big springboard crossbody from the top for a 2 count. Miz drops Kofi with a big boot to the face. Kofi blocks the running kick and rolls Miz up for 2. Miz hits a backbreaker and goes for a neckbreaker but Kofi backslides him for a 2 count. Kofi dropkicks Miz into the corner and leaps to the top. Miz moves and hits a neckbreaker on Kofi from the top.

Miz waits on Kofi to get up and then hits the Skull Crushing Finale for the pin and the win.

Winner: The Miz

- We see Vickie Guerrero and Teddy Long backstage. She’s upset about something as usual. Teddy says Dolph Ziggler will defend the United States Title against Jack Swagger, John Morrison and Alex Riley at Night of Champions. Vickie says that’s unfair. She sees Kelly Kelly and asks what she’s looking at. Kelly says Teddy might listen to her if she wasn’t so… nothing. Vickie calls her a Barbie doll and a pathetic Divas Champion. Vickie can’t wait until Beth Phoenix beats Kelly on Sunday. Vickie says even she could beat Kelly. Teddy says that’s perfect because he was looking for some competition for tonight. It will be Vickie vs. Kelly.

- Bret Hart and John Cena are backstage talking in preparation for their match. Still to come tonight – David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty vs. Jerry Lawler and a mystery partner.

Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga vs. Jerry Lawler and Sheamus

Back from the break and in the ring are Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga. McGillicutty addresses Jerry Lawler, who is at ringside, and says he was born with a personality. McGillicutty asks Lawler if he knows who his father is. Otunga points out that he is a Harvard educated lawyer. Lawler says he did know who McGillicutty’s father was, and he’s not the same person. Lawler rips Otunga and introduces his partner… Sheamus.

Lawler starts things out against McGillicutty, who takes control. Otunga is tagged in for some double teaming and a tag right back to McGillicutty. Lawler catches him with a big right hand and tags in Sheamus. Sheamus comes in strong but gets hit by a big boot. He comes right back and slams McGillicutty down hard. Sheamus wails away with big forearm shots to the chest now and knocks Otunga off the apron. Sheamus with a big knee to the face on McGillicutty. Sheamus climbs up top and comes down with a shoulder block. Otunga comes in and dodges a Brogue kick. Lawler decks Otunga with a right hand and Sheamus drops him with a Brogue kick. Sheamus then Brogue kicks McGillicutty and drops him with the Celtic Cross for the win.

Winners: Sheamus and Jerry Lawler

- Cole plugs the Triple H and CM Punk Face-Off tonight.

- Ricardo Rodriguez is backstage in the locker room when Alberto Del Rio walks in. Ricardo is drinking an aphrodisiac, he says. Del Rio leaves and Ricardo drops to the floor with a weak attempt at push-ups. Back to commercial we go.

John Cena and Bret Hart vs. Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez

Back from the commercial and out comes John Cena and his partner Bret Hart. Ricardo Rodriguez comes out next in tights and a t-shirt. He introduces the WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio but looks scared. Del Rio looks angry and frustrated with Ricardo. The match starts with Cena and Ricardo. Cena takes off his red t-shirt and plays around with Ricardo like he’s a bull. Cena charges Del Rio ont he apron but he jumps down to the floor. Ricardo hits Cena from behind but it doesn’t phase him. Ricardo turns around to Bret and back around to Cena where he gets back dropped. Ricardo tags in Del Rio.

Del Rio comes in and takes control of Cena, working him over int he corner. Cena comes back with a clothesline and a splash int he corner. Cena dropkicks Del Rio and goes for the AA. Ricardo tags himself in and saves Del Rio from the AA. Cena yanks Ricardo over the top rope and hits him with the shoulder blocks and the big slam. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Ricardo as Del Rio looks on from ringside. Cena then hits the AA on Ricardo while Del Rio is backing up the ramp and heading to the back. Cena motions to Bret and tags him in. Bret locks the Sharpshooter in on Ricardo and makes him tap out immediately for the win.

Winners: Bret Hart and John Cena

- After the match, Cena takes the mic and tells Del Rio his destiny will change Sunday at Night of Champions. Cena says after Night of Champions, the champ will be right here. Cena and Bret hit the turnbuckles to pose for the fans.

- WWE airs a look back at 9/11 that is narrated by John Cena. We see Vince McMahon’s speech from the SmackDown episode just days after the 9/11 tragedy. We will not live our lives in fear, said Vince. Cena says 9/11 is now a day of remembrance as we see clips from the 9/11 memorial on Sunday. They also show a clip of George W. Bush’s speech from Ground Zero just days after the attacks. Great video by WWE.

Kelly Kelly vs. Vickie Guerrero

Back from the break and out comes WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. Her opponent Vickie Guerrero is out next, to no theme music, with United States Champion Dolph Ziggler. The bell rings and Vickie pushes Kelly. Kelly comes back with a Thesz press and some shots to the head. Kelly smacks Vickie on the ass. Kelly goes for a bulldog but they botch it bad. Kelly does the stinkface as Jack Swagger makes his way to ringside. Dolph argues with him and says he’s out here with Vickie. Swagger drops Dolph with a right hand as Vickie starts screaming at him. Kelly comes up from behind and rolls Vickie up for the win.

Winner: Kelly Kelly

- After the match, Kelly celebrates as Vickie argues with Dolph and Swagger at ringside. Kelly turns around as Beth Phoenix is entering the ring. Kelly kicks her out to the floor. Beth comes back in the ring as Kelly leaves up the ramp, showing her title off.

- Still to come tonight, Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes and the Final Face-Off with CM Punk and Triple H. Back to commercial we go.

- Back from the break and we get a plug for Hugh Jackman hosting next week’s RAW and a promo video for Triple H going into his return at Night of Champions.

- Josh Matthews is backstage with Mark Henry. Henry tells him to not say a word and just listen. Henry hopes Randy Orton is listening also. Henry talks about beating up Big Show, Kane and Sheamus. Henry says 15 years of looking over him and 15 years of no respect, 15 years of not being the #1 contender. 15 years of not being the World Heavyweight Champion. Henry says all that has got him to this point – to beat the World Champion. Henry promises that Orton will enter his Hall of Pain at Night of Champions.

Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes

We go to the ring and out first comes the World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton to a nice pop from the crowd. Orton hits the turnbuckles as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes with his brown baggers. The bell rings and they lock up. Orton goes to a headlock and drops Cody with a shoulder. 1 count for Orton. Orton goes back to the headlock. Cody takes him to the corner and turns things around, beating Orton down. Orton connects with a big back drop when Mark Henry comes out on the stage. Orton rolls out to the floor and grabs a steel chair. Orton walks up the stage and Henry runs to the back. Cody comes up from behind to attack but Orton catches him. Orton beats Cody back to ringside and clotheslines him on the floor. Orton brings it back in the ring for a 2 count.

Orton stomps away on Cody in the corner now. Orton mounts Cody in the corner with a series of right hands as the crowd counts with him. Orton with another big clothesline and a 2 count. Orton keeps watching the ramp for Mark Henry as he continues the assault on Cody. Henry comes back out with a chair and takes a seat on the stage. Orton walks up the ramp. Cody comes from behind as Henry stands up. Orton heads back to the ring but Cody kicks him in the head as Henry sits back down. We go to commercial.

Back from the break and Cody kicks Orton in the head and drops him on his shoulder. Cody with a 2 count. Cody continues to work on Orton’s shoulder while Henry watches from the stage. Orton tries to fight back and finally catches Cody in mid-air, slamming him down to the mat. Henry makes his way down to the ring with the chair now. Henry stops and takes a seat at ringside as Orton hits a pair of clotheslines and a snap slam on Cody. Cody goes to the apron and Orton goes for the second rope DDT. Cody counters it and goes for Cross Rhodes. Orton counters and brings Cody to the apron, hitting the second rope DDT. Orton hits the mat to get ready for the RKO. Henry walks over to the steel steps. Cody takes off his mask and hits Orton while the referee isn’t looking. Cody hits Cross Rhodes and covers Orton for the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes

- After the match, Henry enters the ring and attacks Orton with the chair. Henry stands over Orton yelling about the World Title and pain.

- Up next is the Final Face-Off with CM Punk and Triple H. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and we see a replay from last week where Triple H fired Kevin Nash. The Game’s music hits and out he comes for the Final Face-Off. Out next comes CM Punk to a nice reaciton from the crowd. There is no table or anything set up.

Punk speaks first and says he’s fascinated that the whole world is watching to see what they say tonight. Punk says he respects Triple H, especially for last week when he fired that charisma vacuum and ratings killer Kevin Nash. Punk says that doesn’t mean he likes Triple H and knows Triple H doesn’t like him either. Punk says people have told him all the horrible things Triple H says behind his back. Punk is also a good judge of character and can see it all over Triple H’s face. Punk goes on and the crowd chants his name. Punk talks about change and says nothing has changed since Vince McMahon left. Punk says Triple H is just as bad. Punk says Vince and Triple H believe that a guy who looks like him don’t belong in a ring with a guy who looks like The Game. Punk says Triple H and Vince have had this weird bodybuilder fetish. Punk says guys who fit Triple H’s image get 10 times the opportunity. Triple H cuts him off and brings up Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, Bret Hart and Rey Mysterio as top stars who wouldn’t be described as bodybuilders. Triple H says if Punk wants to use the idea of that bodybuilder theory as an excuse for his failures, then go ahead. The crowd chants for Punk some more.

Triple H says his opinion doesn’t matter and Punk needs to worry about the fan opinions. Triple H says Punk thought he was being held back for the first six years when he wasn’t getting reactions like that. Triple H says when you win the fan opinions, you get what you want. Triple H says you won’t have to make calls to get on a 7 Eleven cup, 7 Eleven will call WWE and demand he be on it. Punk responds and asks where his WWE ice cream bars are? The crowd pops at this.

Punk tells a story from 2006 before his first pay-per-view at Survivor Series where he was on a team with DX. Punk says the people in Philadelphia weren’t chanting for DX, they were chanting… the crowd starts chanting his name. Punk says the story doesn’t have a happy ending because that was the first time he grabbed the imaginary brass ring and went it went nowhere. Punk would rather be hated for what he is as opposed to loved for what he’s not. Triple H brings up that Punk has been in main events, won Money in the Bank and world titles. Triple H says maybe Punk isn’t as good as he thought he was, maybe he isn’t the best in the world. Triple H brings up Punk’s story on John Cena from last week. Triple H puts over Cena big time and the crowd boo’s. Triple H says the fact remains true – Cena sells out arenas all over the world and he has done it on his own, by winning the fans over. Triple H says Punk needs to worry about the fans opinions all the time. Triple H says sometimes he looks at a guy and doesn’t think he will be anything but that guy turns out to be a John Cena. Triple H says all Punk has to do is win the fans over. Punk asks Triple H if he is hearing this. Don’t tell him he has to win the fans over. Triple H says today they are chanting his name, last year – not so much. Triple H says Punk is just now getting the people. Punk says he has earned everything he’s got in the last 6 years. Punk says he busted his ass and sacrificed for this business. Triple H goes on and says this isn’t business, it’s personal because Punk turned it into a personal issue. Triple H says Punk won’t step in the ring with the muli-time World Champion, not the COO, not the business man and not The Game on Sunday. He will step into the ring with a man, a man that will kick his ass.

Punk says he is dead wrong and this isn’t about John Cena. Punk says he is the best. Punk says he’s going to kick Triple H’s ass also, pin him 1-2-3 and make him go to sleep. Punk says it’s going to be so satisfying to him. Punk says this is Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque. Punk goes on about why it’s going to be satisfying to beat Triple H’s ass when the mic gets cut out. Triple H tells Punk to say it to him. Triple H gets the mic going again. Punk starts talking and it’s cut out again. Triple H demands a mic and asks a producer what the hell is going on. Punk decks Triple H with the mic and he goes down. Punk throws a crotch chop at Triple H as the crowd pops and he leaves the ring to his name being chanted. Punk walks up the ramp smiling as Triple H recovers in the ring and RAW goes off the air.

DARM MAIN EVENT FOR TONIGHTS SMACKDOWN

The dark main event after tonight’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Calgary saw Randy Orton beat Christian in a Street Fight with Bret Hart as the special referee.

Triple H came out before the match, put over Calgary and brought out Bret Hart. Christian refused to wrestle until Triple H tossed him into the ring. Orton won with the RKO and after the match, Bret put Christian in the Sharpshooter

Jim Ross revealed on Twitter yesterday evening that he interviewed Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart at WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT for a new WWE DVD that will be coming out in October. Word going around is that the DVD will cover the Montreal Screwjob and the issues between Hart and Michaels.


Ross wrote:


“Spent 5 hrs 2day interviewing HBK & the Hitman 4 Oct DVD. No holds barred talk. Special day 4 me.”

 Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up with a graphic for the late Randy Savage before going to the normal WWE opening video.


- We’re live from the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon as Josh Matthews welcomes us to RAW. We go right to the ring and out comes Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler.


Lawler says he doesn’t want to take up too much time but he wants to say, finally our long national nightmare is over and Michael Cole has been beaten. Cole says he had Bret Hart last night because he knew Cole would try to get away from kissing his foot. Lawler introduces Bret and out comes The Hitman to the ring.


Bret says hello to Portland and says it’s always good to be back on RAW. Lawler takes a seat at the announcers table. Bret says he and Lawler have had their differences over the year but he always respected him. Bret says he has zero respect for Michael Cole and says it was his pleasure last night to help Cole kiss that foot. “The truth shall set your free” comes over the loudspeaker and out comes R-Truth with a mic.


Truth comes to the ring and says it’s an honor, he can’t believe his eyes. He asks Bret if he’s a ninety-time WWE Champion or something. The crowd is booing Truth. He says they have no sense and no home training. Truth tells Bret to ask him how many title matches he’s been in. Truth says zero. Truth talks about how rapping and dancing hasn’t got him anything. Truth borrows Bret’s glasses and goes to ringside with them. He finds a little kid in the front row and puts the glasses on his head. Truth says this means he should be next in line for a WWE Title match. Truth takes the glasses off the kids head and walks back in the ring. More heat from the crowd. Truth talks more about how entertaining the fans got him nowhere. Truth says actions speak louder than words and the action part of his brain is telling him he needs to beat up a Hall of Famer. Bret tells him to take his best shot. Bret says he got title matches because he’s the best there is, best there was and best there ever will be. Bret calls Truth a lunatic. Truth says he won’t stand here and be disrespected. John Cena’s music hits and out comes the WWE Champion as Truth is leaving the ring.


Cena limps his way to the ring and grabs a mic. He asks Truth to hold up and come back to the ring. Cena says it’s about time he and Truth had a little talk. Cena is a little beaten up from last night but he’s excited that Bret Hart is back in a WWE ring. They shake hands and Bret congratulates him on his win last night. Cena says his hands have been full with Miz lately but he can’t figure out when Truth went crazy. Cena asks him what’s up. Cena says they used to be cool. Truth says Cena knows nothing about cool and doesn’t know a damn thing about him. Truth says the whole conspiracy thing he’s been talking about has to do with Cena. Truth says the fans make sure everything is all about Cena. Cena says no, he makes sure things are all about the fans. Truth mocks Cena and says he never liked him. Truth says Bret and Cena are the same – propaganda tools to make the people feel good. Truth says he doesn’t care about the people or how they feel. He says it’s all about him and he won’t feel right until he gets a WWE Title shot. Cena says it’s time someone knock some sense into Truth and the e-mail alert goes off.


Matthews handles the General Manager’s announcement and Truth won’t be getting a shot. But there will be Truth and CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio and John Cena tonight. The special referee will be Bret Hart. The GM says he will be paying close attention to the match. Bret’s music hits as Truth storms out of the ring pissed. Bret goes to ringside and gives the kid his glasses that Truth took them back from earlier. Bret and Cena shake hands with the fans.


– We go backstage with Kane and Big Show sitting by a nice convertible talking about Nexus. Ricardo Rodriguez walks up and yells at them in Spanish, presumably to get off of Alberto Del Rio’s car. Show shoves Ricardo to the floor and goes back to talking to Kane. Del Rio walks up and yells at Show and Kane in Spanish. We have no idea what he says but Kane and Show walk off. Del Rio snatches Ricardo off up the floor, still running his mouth pissed off. We go to commercial.


WWE Tag Team Title Match: David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty vs. Big Show and Kane


Back from commercial and out comes the WWE Tag Team Champions Big Show and Kane. Out next comes CM Punk with Nexus members David Otunga, Michael McGillicutty and Mason Ryan. It’s going to be Kane and Otunga starting things out as Punk joins us on commentary.


The bell rings and Kane strikes first, taking Otunga to the ropes and then the mat. Otunga runs out of the ring and Kane chases him. Kane pulls Otunga back to the floor and drops him with a right hand. Kane slams Otunga’s head into the apron and brings it back in the ring. Kane tags in Big Show for a bit of double teaming as Show hits Otunga with a big chop. Show goes for another but Otunga ducks and tags in McGillicutty. Show shoves him into the corner and wails away with body shots and a big chop. Show drops McGillicutty with another big chop and then stands on him.


Show drops McGillicutty with a big shot and then clotheslines him over to the floor. Nexus regroups on the floor as we go back to commercial.


Back from the break and Otunga has Kane down on the mat. The ref is distracted, allowing McGillicutty to take a cheap shot. Otunga goes back to work on Kane. Otunga tags out and McGillicitty picks up where he left off. They go at it until McGillicutty takes back control and tags in Otunga. Otunga with a neckbreaker on Kane and a 2 count. Otunga with a headlock now. Show and McGillicutty are taggd in at the same time. Show runs over him and hits a big back splash in the corner. Show knocks him down with a shoulder. Mason Ryan distracts the referee but Kane clotheslines him over the ropes. Show grabs Otunga and McGillicutty for a chokeslam. The ref is getting up but CM Punk manages to hit Show first. McGillicutty and Otunga double DDT Show and cover him for the pin, the win and the titles.

– Nexus heads to the ramp to celebrate, leaving Show and Kane pissed off in the ring. Back to commercial.


– We get hype for WWE Capitol Punishment and footage from Randy Orton signing copies of That’s What I Am at Walmart.


– We get replays of Nexus winning the WWE Tag Team Titles a few minutes ago.


– Scott Stanford is backstage with Kane and Big Show. Show is furious and gets in Stanford’s face. He says they got robbed. Alberto Del Rio walks up smiling and says something in Spanish to Show. Del Rio smacks Show and takes off running. we hear a crash and the camera catches up to Show laying down. He’s been hit by Del Rio’s car that Rodriguez is driving. Kane screams for someone to come help Show. Show is holding his knee in pain big time. EMT’s rush over to check on Show and he pushes everyone off. Show stands up but falls right back down, still screaming and holding his knee. EMT’s tend to Show as we go to commercial.


– Back from commercial and EMT’s are tending to Big Show’s knee. He tries to stand up but falls back down. He tells everyone to give him some room to breathe and says he’s alright. He tries to stand again and has to hold himself up on a railing. The trainers want him to sit on a stretcher but he refuses. Show is bent over in pain as we go to the ring.


Jack Swagger vs. Evan Bourne


We go to the ring and out comes Jack Swagger. Evan Bourne is out next to a decent reaction from the crowd.


The bell rings and they go at it. Swagger takes it to the corner but misses a big right hand. Bourne goes to work on Swagger but gets dropped with a big boot. Swagger beats Bourne with forearms and elbow drops on the mat now. Swagger with a belly to belly suplex and a 2 count. Swagger with an armlock now. Swagger manhandles Bourne’s arm. Bourne fights out with a kick to the head. Swagger goes for the Vader splash off the second rope but Bourne moves. Bourne gets up and fights back with kicks. He goes for a jumping kick but Swagger goes for the ankle lock. Bourne counters and rolls Swagger up for a close 2 count.


More back and forth action until Swagger catches Bourne out of nowhere with a gutwrench powerbomb and slams him to the mat hard for the pin and the win.


Winner: Jack Swagger


– After the match, Swagger jogs around the inside of the ring to celebrate. Bourne gets up and drops Swagger with a kick to the face and runs off to the stage. Swagger gets up pissed off.


– We see Michael Cole walking backstage with his head down. People are laughing at him, including the Divas. He stops to shake Eve Torres’ hand and she puts up her foot for him to shake. Cole walks off looking sad as we go to commercial.


– We come back to Matthews and Lawler cracking jokes on Cole. They congratulate The Rock on Fast Five’s success of over $506 million worldwide at the box office.


– Justin Roberts is int he ring and he introduces “the voice of WWE” Michael Cole. Cole comes out looking sad as the crowd boo’s him. Cole grabs a mic and a “you suck toes” chant breaks out from the crowd. Cole asks for everyone’s attention and says they’re right, he doesn’t deserve the attention. Cole says this isn’t about him anymore and should have never been about him. Cole says he came out here to put everything behind he and Lawler. Cole apologizes to Lawler, Matthews, Roberts, the timekeeper, the fans and everyone else. Cole apologizes for his behavior over the past few months. Cole says he wants to come back home, sit next to Lawler every week and do RAW commentary.


Cole says there will be no more Colemine and no more matches. He begs for everyone to accept his apology but the fans boo him. Lawler says that sounds good to him. Lawler thanks Cole for coming out to apologize. Lawler also thanks Cole for giving him a picture that will be on his Christmas cards this year. Lawler shows a picture on the big screen of his foot in Cole’s mouth last night. A “you suck toes” chant breaks out again. Lawler hands Cole some breath mints and says Cole might need a lifetime supply of those. Cole says he deserves all of this and takes a seat at the announcer’s table. The Miz’s music hits and out he comes with Alex Riley.


Miz enters the ring and the crowd boos. Miz says there’s only one reason he didn’t win the WWE Title last night – Alex Riley. Miz says this isn’t a one time thing, it’s happened before. Miz brings up Extreme Rules where Riley didn’t even show up for the cage match. Miz talks about the next night on RAW and shows footage of the referee reversing the decision after Riley was caught cheating on Miz’s behalf. Miz talks about Over the Limit and how their plan was working to perfection until Riley screwed it up. Miz wants the RAW General Manager to give him another chance, a one-on-one WWE Title Match against John Cena with Riley banned from ringside. Miz tells the GM he’s waiting for the decision.


Miz says Riley was so useless at Over the Limit that it was him who felt like he was in a handicap match, not Cena. Miz waits for the GM to chime in. Miz says he should be WWE Champion right now and will not leave the ring until the GM makes his decision. The e-mail alert finally goes off and Matthews announces, from the GM, that Miz’s request for a title shot is denied. Miz lost last night so as far as the GM is concerned, he’s done with Cena. Miz gets pissed and turns to Riley. Miz says it’s all Riley’s fault. Miz calls him a worthless waste of space and asks him to explain himself. Riley says he wasn’t the one who said “I Quit.” A “you quit” chant breaks out from the crowd. Miz mushes Riley in the face and tells him to shut his mouth. Miz says he gave Riley a personal services contract and without him, he wouldn’t even be in WWE. Miz says Riley is nothing without him and rode his coattails all the way to the main event of WrestleMania. Miz says Riley has been a big disappointment and is sick of his stupidity. Miz is sick of his face, sick of him period. Miz fires Riley.


Miz pushes Riley’s face again. Riley drops him with a right hand and jumps on top of him with more rights and lefts. Miz escapes to the floor but Riley goes after him. Riley unloads on Miz and throws him into the barrier. Riley throws Miz across the announcers table and slams him into it again. Riley brings it back in the ring and the crowd starts chanting his name. Riley unloads on Miz in the corner and yelling in his face. Riley stands there as the crowd pops big time for him. Miz goes to get up but Riley runs and kicks him in the head. Riley heads to the back with Miz laid out in the ring. Back to commercial.


The Bella Twins, Maryse and Melina vs. Gail Kim, Eve Torres, Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix


Back from the break and out comes Nikki Bella, WWE Divas Champion Brie Bella, Maryse and Melina. Their opponents Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim and Eve are out next. Kelly and one of the Bellas start things out. Kelly unloads with a quick flurry of offense but Kharma’s music interrupts things early on and out she comes.


Kharma marches to the ring as the eight Divas look on. Kharma stops and eyes them all. She hops up in the ring and is surrounded by Divas. Kharma looks around at all of them circled. She shakes her arms and drops to her knees. Kharma starts crying and shaking in the middle of the ring. This goes on for a minute or two and there’s some boos from the crowd. We go to commercial with Kharma still on her knees crying.


The bell rings and they go to the corner. Drew misses a big right hand but kicks Kofi to the mat. Drew with an uppercut and a big right hand to drop Kofi. Drew misses a clothesline, they trade leap frogs, run the ropes again and Kofi tries to slide over Drew’s back but falls on his knee. Drew goes to work on Kofi’s knee now with knee drops and stomps. Drew slams Kofi’s knee into the ringpost now and ties a figure four around it. The hold is broken but the damage is done to Kofi. Drew with a 2 count now.


Drew with a knee to the head now. Drew goes back to work on Kofi’s leg. Kofi leaps up out of nowhere on one leg and kicks Drew in the head, sending him to the mat. Kofi with chops now and a leg sweep. Kofi limps around and hits the Boom Drop. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise but falls on his bad knee. Drew kicks him in the head for another 2 count.


Kofi ends up on Drew’s shoulders but gets powerbombed to the mat. Another 2 count for Drew. Drew throws Kofi into the corner and beats him down. Drew with short clotheslines in the corner. He goes for another clothesline but Kofi flips around him and drops him for the pin and the win.


Winner: Kofi Kingston


– We see Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero backstage watching the match on a TV screen before going to replays.


– The announcers talk about WWE’s Capitol Punishment pay-per-view and show us the same mock press conference with President Obama that they aired last night.


– Nexus are backstage celebrating the WWE Tag Team Title win. CM Punk says watch what he’s about to do and heads to the ring for tonight’s main event as we go to break.


– Back from the break and we get replays from earlier where Big Show injured his leg after being hit by Ricardo Rodriguez driving Alberto Del Rio’s car. Scott Stanford is with Del Rio, who requested some time to speak. Del Rio says Big Show brought this on himself because he disrespected him. Del Rio says he had nothing to do with this and it’s not his fault. Del Rio says this is all Ricardo’s fault, mumbles something in Spanish and walks off. Cole says Big Show has been taken to a nearby hospital for a further diagnosis.


– Lawler brings up the tragic death of Randy Savage. Lawler talks about how great of a person Savage was and says he will always be a Hall of Famer, no matter what. Lawler leads us into a video tribute to Savage.


– We come back to the arena and the crowd is standing for Savage. Back to commercial.


CM Punk and R-Truth vs. John Cena and Rey Mysterio


Back from the commercial and out comes the special referee for tonight’s main event – Bret Hart. Out first comes R-Truth and he’s booed the whole way to the ring. His partner CM Punk is out next by himself. Rey Mysterio’s music hits and he comes to the ring to a big pop from the crowd. Out next comes the WWE Champion John Cena as we get ready to go.


Punk is wearing yellow boots and pink trunks like Randy Savage. Truth and Cena start the match off. Truth misses a clothesline and Cena goes to work on him. Cena with a big hip toss and then he throws Truth over the top rope to the floor. Punk comes out to check on Truth as we go to commercial.


Back from the break and Punk is hitting Cena with elbows in the corner. Cena comes back with a bulldog and a suplex on Punk. Cena charges but Punk moves Bret Hart in front of him. Punk attacks Cena now and beats him down, tagging in R-Truth. Truth comes in and stomps away on Cena. Truth whips Cena hard into the corner and gets a 2 count. Truth with another 2 count. Punk is tagged back in and goes to work on Cena. Punk with a side sweep and a 2 count. Punk insults Bret for counting slow. Punk scoop slams Cena and goes to the second rope, coming down with a short elbow and a 2 count.


Punk continues the offense on Cena and tags Truth back in. Truth with a suplex for another 2 count. Truth argues with Bret and gets in his face but Bret yells right back. Truth goes back to work on Cena in the corner. Truth charges and Cena hits him with a big boot. Punk is tagged back in and hits Cena with a backbreaker. Punk teases a Sharpshooter but Cena counters and goes for an STF. Punk pushes him off and lifts him for a GTS. Cena slides out and drops Punk with a DDT. Cena hits Punk and tags in Rey. Rey comes off the top rope and hits a series of moves o Punk. They trade roll ups and Rey kicks Punk in the face for a 2 count as Truth broke the pin. Cena comes in for an Attitude Adjustment on Truth but Truth counters and lays Cena out. Truth turns his back and Rey kicks him into 619 position. Punk goes for a GTS on Rey but Rey counters and hits him with 619. Bret drops Punk and applies a Sharpshooter. Rey comes off the top with a leg drop on Punk while he’s in the Sharpshooter. Rey covers Punk for the pin and the win.


Winners: John Cena and Rey Mysterio


– After the match, Cena and Mysterio raise Bret’s arms as we go to replays. RAW goes off the air with the three celebrating in the ring together.

WWE RE-EDITS BIO OF ABDULLAH BUTCHER

 WWE’s Hall of Fame bio on Abdullah the Butcher talked about how he hadn’t brawled with Bruno Sammartino or Bob Backlund, but the three icons would be together when Abdullah enters the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE has since changed the article by replacing Sammartino and Backlund’s names with Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart.

BRET HART TALKS ABOUT MICHAEL COLE INTERRUPTING DIVAS MATCH

 Bret Hart wrote the following on Twitter about Michael Cole interrupting the Divas match on Monday’s RAW: “Also want to mention that I hated the interruption during the women’s match. They’re working their asses off and Cole totally ruined it.”

WRESTLEMANIA MATCH FACT

Despite the “USA” chants on this past Friday’s SmackDown, the World Heavyweight Title match between Edge and Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 27 will be the first World or WWE Title match at a WrestleMania that will not feature an American.


While Yokozuna and Bret Hart wrestled at WrestleMania 10, Yokozuna was born in the United States. Chris Jericho and Edge wrestled for the World Heavyweight Title last year but Jericho was also born in the United States.

BRET HART TALKS ABOUT JOHN MORRISON'S APOLOGY

 Bret Hart revealed to Right After Wrestling that John Morrison once apologized to him backstage for handing out his sunglasses to children before his matches.

“He came up to me, John Morrison did, and he apologized to me, he said he felt bad and made references to stealing my gimmick,” Hart said.

“But the fact that he even addressed it was flattering to me. I don’t think it’s any different than Rey Mysterio giving stuff to the kids. It’s gotta keep moving on, and if there’s any kind of connection between his giving the sunglasses away and my giving the sunglasses away years ago, between an old fan and a young fan, I think that’s beautiful, I have no problem with it at all.”

BRET HART TALKS ABOUT LAST YEAR IN WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has a new blog on his Facebook page where he reflects on a busy 2010 for him. Here are some highlights:

“There was some great television moments I had with both Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon. Coming back and doing Monday Night Raw was such a blast from my supposed broken leg by the limo on the ramp to my sister Alison storming out to be a lumberjack at Wrestlemania in Phoenix. It was great returning to WWE and some of my favorite wrestling cities from Austin to Boston and everything in between. To have had the thrill of being in the ring cutting promos with Stone Cold, Undertaker, Shawn, and even Vince again was a dream come true as much for myself as it was for my fans around the world.

I think back to what a thrill it was winning the US Title in Toronto and the wild after hours party with Jericho and Dibiase, Steph and Beans, old pal Don Kolov and his “Russian Mafia” in the wings. The decision to forfeit the US Title came to me that night; the celebrating nearly killed me.

Today, when I see the Miz as the newly crowned WWE champion, the thought doesn’t escape me that if I technically beat him to win the US title last spring, could I not come back and try one last time against all odds and somehow take that WWE world title back again? Ahh, that’s the beauty of pro wrestling. Never stop dreaming; anything is possible. I smile at the memory of the Hart Dynasty winning the tag titles in April and Natalya fullfilling her childhood dream of winning the Divas title. Summerslam 2010, Madison Square Garden tagging up with the Hart Dynasty against Nexus being cheered on by my granddaughter Kyra, oldest daughter Jade, her boyfriend Kyle, and my lovely wife Steph, for me this was one of 2010 real highlights. I thank everyone in New York who came, especially WWE, for this night in particular. I’d also like to thank all of the wrestlers for letting me join them on the tours in Europe this year.”
