Another Fonk on WWE, Sheamus vs Cena and More

Dr. Dory Funk Jr., a fourth generation member of the legendary Funk family, will make his pro wrestling debut at the !BANG! show on February 20th at the Funking Conservatory. He will team with Johnny Magnum and WWE Hall of Famer Dory Funk Jr. to take on the team of Hack Meyers, Shane Chung and Blain Rage.

Former WWE star Armando Estrada has a sandwich on the menu of his Baby’s Steak & Lemonade in Glendale, Arizona called the CM Punk, a grilled chicken breast with marinara and provolone. He also has a sandwich called the Big Vito. a sandwich called the Big Vito.

Sheamus vs. John Cena for the WWE Title is being advertised for the RAW live event in Tucson, Arizona on March 20th.

Evan Bourne and Gail Kim will be appearing at Metropcs in Lansing, Michigan on Friday, February 12th from 5-6pm.

Joey Mercury has indeed signed a new deal with WWE last week and likely will be heading to the main roster soon for the SmackDown brand.

Chris Jericho and Hurricane Helms mugshots are briefly shown in a new commercial for TMZ’s iPhone application.

Beth Phoenix wrote the following on Twitter yesterday: “just got pulled over while driving to Dallas by a Walker Texas Ranger wannabe. he wrote me a ticket. I gave him the Glamastare..he cried.”

Carl Edwards will be promoting NASCAR’s Daytona 500 race when he hosts Monday Night RAW tomorrow night.

WWE will be releasing a “WWE Confidential” paperback book written by Aaron Feigenbaum in December 2010.

Jim Ross noted on Twitter that he will be receiving the Art Abrams Lifetime Achievement Award at the Cauliflower Alley Club event in April.   

Update on Batista vs Cena, HOF update, Future of Captain Charisma

Look for Batista to make more appearances on Monday Night RAW for the next few weeks and for John Cena to make more SmackDown appearances while they do the build for WrestleMania.

It’s expected that WWE will be announcing the first name for the 2010 Hall of Fame on this coming Monday’s RAW.

The company may not know yet exactly what they’re going to do with the ECW Title when NXT debuts and most likely current ECW Champion Christian will end up on the SmackDown brand.
