Update on Miz vs MVP, NFL forces wwe to move

The city of New Orleans will be hosting a parade to honor the New Orleans Saints football team on Tuesday, Feb. 9, whether the team wins or loses the Super Bowl. Since this parade conflicts with WWE’s SmackDown/ECW live event, WWE will be postponing their event in New Orleans and moving it to Baton Rouge at the Baton Rouge River Center at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010. The New Orleans event has been rescheduled for Friday evening, May 28, 2010. Tickets from the Feb. 9 date will be honored.
- While most visitors and guests were barred from WWE’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday night, former WWE and TNA star Johnny Swinger was backstage seeing friends.
- Recently released WWE Superstar Eric Escobar is now working for the WWC promotion in Puerto Rico.
- The decision to add MVP vs. The Miz for the United States Title to Sunday’s Royal Rumble was made late in the day before the pay-per-view began. The plan was to have the match at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view if they decided not to have it at the Rumble.
