REY MYSTERIO TALKS ABOUT WWE ALL STAR DEMO

The demo for WWE All Stars has been released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and features Rey Mysterio vs. The Ultimate Warrior. Regarding the demo, Rey wrote on Twitter: “Just got the demo of #Allstars. Reminds me of a mortal kombat/blitz mashup. Except I’m in it. Just gave Ultimate Warrior a beatin’! 619.”

CHRIS JERICHO TALKS ABOUT DANCING WITH THE STARS

Chris Jericho had the following to say about wrestling vs. dancing in a new article on Digitalspy.com to promote ABC’s Dancing with the Stars:

“It’s funny because when there are a lot of things about [dancing and wrestling] that are similar,” Jericho said. “There’s a lot of leverage and weight distribution and balance. Then there’s performing in front of a live crowd, your marks, choreography and as a musician, following the beat. It’s not that foreign as it seems at first. The training’s really hard. It’s probably the hardest training I’ve ever done, but it’s not futile. There are moves in dancing that I’ve never done before – you’re turning your knee outwards, your elbow on the side. And hunching over – dancing’s very elongated, very regal. Your neck stretches, your shoulders are down. So I’m focusing on getting rid of those bad habits.”

SMACKDOWN DARK MAIN EVENT

The dark main event after last night’s SmackDown tapings saw Rey Mysterio, Christian, Kane, and Big Show defeat Alberto Del Rio and The Corre in a handicap match.

DAVID OTUNGA TALKS ABOUT HIS CHARACTER, AS A BAD GUY

WWE Superstar David Otunga was recently interviewed by The Chicago Tribune. Here are some highlights:

His WWE character and fiancee Jennifer Hudson:
“I created this character of all the stereotypes of being a reality star, and my fiancee being more famous than I am. They assume this guy is living off her. If that’s what people don’t like, that’s who I’m going to be. That’s totally not me. It’s the one thing that bothers me in real life. It drives me crazy.”

Being perceived as a bad guy:
“Perception does become reality, and it’s too hard to explain the story to every person. It’s got to the point now where it bothers me so much, I’m trying to desperately get away from that. I try to avoid red carpets now.”

WWE’s John Laurinaitis’ comments on Otunga:
“What immediately jumped out at me was David’s charisma. He dressed well, he spoke well, he had that ‘it’ factor. He was a student of the game.”

NO SMACKDOWN FOR NEXT WEEK?

In an update on next week’s WWE tapings before WrestleMania, it looks like there will be no SmackDown taped, even just matches after Monday night’s RAW. SmackDown next week will be made up of Axxess footage, video packages and interviews.
