WWE EXPECTS NEXUS FOR PPV SURPRISES
During today’s WWE investor conference call, Vince McMahon talked about how WWE had a bad quarter and they faced a “perfect storm” of problems. Those problems included the volcano explosion in Iceland, which disreupted their European tour, as well as the numerous injuries (Undertaker, Triple H) and departures (Shawn Michaels, Batista) of their top stars.
Vince McMahon then put over Nexus and said he believes they will help turn the PPV numbers around starting with Summerslam. “I think there’s been a very favorable response to our new talent,” McMahon said.

UPDATE ON WHY KANE BECAME WORLD CHAMPION, KANE'S RETIREMENT
One of the reasons that WWE put the World Heavyweight Title on Kane is because they wanted his feud with The Undertaker to be a title program. Another reason is that Kane has been with the company so long and nobody knows how much longer he will be there, considering his age. There has been talk of Kane retiring but it’s not something that’s expected to happen soon.
WWE SIGNS NEW WRESTLER TRAINED BY LANCE STORM
Lance Storm announced on his website that Storm Wrestling Academy wrestler Mattias Wild has been offered a developmental deal by WWE. Wild attended the recent tryout camp at FCW in Florida.
Lance wrote:
“Matt is the first SWA grad to be signed by WWE, and I could not be happier for him. Mattias is living proof that hard work, talent, and some great training (I’ve got to steal some credit) pay off. It will likely be a few months before all the paper work and his visa is processed but I look forward to seeing Matt perform on FCW TV, and eventually WWE TV as well. Congratulations my friend you definitely deserve this.”
