ROCK PLAYING ROADBLOCK IN G.I.JOE 2
The Rock, who is playing Roadblock, noted on Twitter today that they are filming the finale scene for GI Joe 2.
JOHN CENA'S MOVIE "THE REUNION" RECEIVES ONE STAR REVIEW
The Orlando Sentinel’s Roger Moore has reviewed WWE Studios’ The Reunion with John Cena and has some negative things to say about WWE’s latest effort. Moore gave the movie a one-star review Here are some quotes for the review:
“Now Mike Pavone’s last picture for WWE comes out, “The Reunion,” a split personality action comedy that fails to please either impulse. The action is wan, the laughs hard to come by. They spent the money, as they often did under Pavone, on surrounding a wrestling star with decent actors (Amy Smart, Ethan Embry, Michael Rispoli). But an incoherent script gives them too little to do.”
“Wrestler John Cena has become a comfortable screen presence, within a certain range. He’s OK as a cop on disciplinary leave forced to form a sort of bounty hunters business with his siblings in order for them all to receive an inheritance.”
“Coming at the end of a string of flops, “The Reunion” makes one wonder about the motives and business model for this whole enterprise.”

CM PUNK TURNS DOWN MOVIE OFFER, WWE STILL LOOKING FOR PUNK
CM Punk stated during a media interview in Australia that he recently turned down a movie role from WWE Studios during contract negotiations before he re-signed. Punk was offered a role in the new horror movie “No One Lives.”
Apparently Stephanie McMahon thought Punk would be perfect playing the role of a “30-something scumbag with dirtbag good looks and soulless eyes.” Punk added that he thought the idea was interesting but it came up at a time when he was leaving.
As noted before, WWE was looking to get Punk into one of their movies as a part of the big branding and merchandising push that they’re kicking off with Punk. Word is that officials continue to look for a new WWE Studios script that would suit Punk and are hoping to get him in a movie next year.

TRIPLE H TALKS ABOUT WORST RAW GUEST HOST EVER, HIS NEW MOVIE
Triple H spoke with Moviefone.com this week to promote WWE Studios’ Inside Out. Here are some highlights:
Hugh Jackman is guest-hosting an upcoming episode of Raw, and he joins a long list of celebrity guest hosts — but was there ever a host that had a pedigree coming to them?
I’d like to give one to Bob Barker, just ’cause it’s Bob Barker. But you know who I would have liked to pedigree is Al Sharpton. Al Sharpton was the guest host and he showed up ten minutes before he did his thing, he did it, and he left five minutes later. He couldn’t have cared less, he phoned it in. It was the worst appearance ever.
Most of the guys come on the show and they know what we are and they want to have fun. Dennis Miller came on and he was hilarious on-camera, hilarious off-camera. Dennis came up to me and he goes, “My life is complete. I just got comedy advice from Vince McMahon.” Vince would literally be like “Dennis, come here. You need to say your jokes slower ’cause…” Vince will give anybody direction.
What does WWE Studios have planned next?
We just finished a movie called ‘No One Lives,’ that’s a straight up horror, R-rated. It’s funny, if we say we’ve got a few kid’s movies, now it’s: “all WWE does is kids movies.”
I don’t think anyone expected us to make ‘That’s What I Am’ either. A movie about prejudices and bullying and the story of a teacher and a kid that gets bullied. It’s completely different for us. But Vince read it and felt passionate about the story and said “this is a really great story. Is it gonna make us a ton of money? Nope.” We’re trying to think bigger picture and longer term.
Triple H also played the name game and had to think up a movie for 80′s and 90′s stars. Here’s what he came up with for the following stars:
Hulk Hogan: Oh god, anything cheesy.
Jake Roberts: Western villian.
DX: Comedy.
Vince McMahon: “Wall Street”
Bill Goldberg: Any movie that took itself too seriously.
The Ultimate Warrior: Either crazy out-there futuristic space movie — or absolute stoner film.

MOVIE REVIEW OF TRIPLE H'S INSIDE OUT
Variety and The New York Times have published new reviews on WWE Studios’ Inside Out with Triple H. Here are some highlights:
Variety:
“In its continuing quest to make Paul “Triple H” Levesque a viable movie star, WWE casts the hulking wrestler in yet another ex-con role in “Inside Out,” sandwiching him between Michael Rapaport and Parker Posey, arguably two of Hollywood’s quirkiest supporting players. But their flakiness effectively plays off the taciturn, muscle-bound Levesque, whose cliched choice to go straight or crooked, juxtaposed with Rapaport’s loose-cannon loquaciousness, turns moral questions into an entertaining vaudeville routine. Veering crazily in tone, “Inside Out” might fail to catapult its star into wider acceptability, but should delight fans of lightly absurd actioners upon its limited Sept. 9 release.”
The NY Times:
“If Paul Levesque, the professional wrestler better known as Triple H, hopes to follow the career path of, say, Dwayne Johnson, who is now a credible action-adventure leading man, he’s going to need movies a lot better than “Inside Out” to do it. Shooting for stoic, Mr. Levesque only delivers inert. And the plot devolves into a tangle of dithering story lines. The film could really have used some better-focused, more believable scripting. Perhaps for Mr. Levesque’s next project one of the “WWE SmackDown” writers will have some free time.”
TRIPLE H TALKS ABOUT FILMING INSIDE OUT, KISSING SCENES
Triple H spoke with The Miami Herald this week to promote his new WWE Studios movie Inside Out. Here are a few highlights:
Stephanie McMahon’s reaction to his kissing scenes:
“When the kissing scene comes up, my wife just leaves the room. It would be very quiet for a long time. The [Triple H] kissing scenes don’t go over very big in my house.”
Filming Inside Out:
“Inside Out for me was a phenomenal experience because I worked with Michael Rapaport, Parker Posey, Julie White, Michael Cudlitz, Bruce Dern. That’s a pretty heavy duty list of very good actors. For me, shooting scenes with Bruce Dern was never-wracking. I’m sitting across from Bruce Dern, shooting a heated scene with him.”
Doing movies and wrestling:
“I’ve always said this. It’s never been my desire to necessarily go to Hollywood. When I did ‘Blade,’ I was offered a three-picture deal with New Line [Cinema], and I turned it down because I didn’t want to make movies and be a movie guy. I wanted to stay in the wrestling business. When [WWE Studios] offered me ‘The Chaperone’ [2011] and ‘Inside Out,’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They were good projects, and the timing worked right. I had the time off.”
“If another thing comes along, and it’s a great project, and I like the script, and I think I’d have fun doing it, I would do it. But am I knocking on somebody’s door? I’m not calling up the guys who run WWE Studios, saying, ‘Hey, guys, where’s my next movie?’ If it’s the right thing [with WWE Studios] and it’s the right time, great. If not, I’m cool with that, too. It’s a fun thing to do on the side.”
