Former WWE Diva Serena made a surprise return at Saturday’s SHIMMER DVD taping in Berwyn, Illinois. The former Straight Edge Society member defeated Kelly Skater in what many fans said was a great match.
While Serena’s 90-day no-compete clause with WWE prohibits her from appearing on national television for rival wrestling organizations, she is still able to work independent shows.

FRENCH COMPANY SUES WWE
The Republican American website is reporting that WWE is being sued for $21.6 million by a French company that claims clothing which was sold was not counterfeit WWE merchandise as WWE has claimed. The story opens with: “A French company is suing U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon’s wrestling company for the equivalent of $21.6 million.”
The story notes that WWE has alleged that a Portuguese company violated a licensing agreement when they sold WWE branded clothing to the French company in question.
The European-based company is alleging that WWE made false claims they were selling counterfeit WWE apparel in supermarkets across France.

REY MYSTERIO WILL NOT DO A SURGERY
ProWrestling.net is reporting that WWE Smackdown star Rey Mysterio currently has no plans to have surgery on his knee.
It was reported at the beginning of 2010 that Mysterio would work through his knee issues until Wrestlemania, and then have surgery after the event. When Mysterio didn’t get the surgery, the feeling was that he would hold off until after Summerslam to have surgery. That has not happened either, and it’s being said that Mysterio had cartilage injections awhile back to help with the pain.

BIG SHOW PROMOTING KNUCKLEHEAD
Big Show appeared on Sky Sports News last week to promote WWE Studios’ upcoming comedy film, Knucklehead. He also discussed his size, a potential career in boxing, and said UK citizens have a better sense of humor than Americans.
MATT HARDY SENT BACK TO HOME
Though Matt Hardy claimed in a video blog entry late last night that he was still in the U.K. in spite of online reports of him being sent home following an apparent backstage incident the day before, he did not work the final event of the European tour, which took place in Skegness, England. He did not offer a response to that portion of the report. Additionally, in his video he blamed “a stooging punk” for the story hitting the net.
In regard to his health, Hardy said he has never felt better. He claimed to have dropped over twenty pounds since changing his diet to eliminate red meat. Apparently, he managed to drop seven additional pounds during the international tour as he wrote on Twitter Thursday night that he was planning a YouTube entry concerning his recent health breakthroughs as he had dropped thirteen pounds at the time.
“Definitely gonna do a YT entry soon about my recent health breakthroughs concerning my digestive process,” Hardy wrote. “In 3 weeks, I’ve dropped 13 lbs.”
